We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and weren't sure what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations. The mansion itself is beautiful. Every time we walked around the house we discovered more treasures, everything from the molding to antique pieces. The property has a lovely view of the Erie Canal. Each morning there was coffee waiting or us outside our door on a beautifully arranged tray. Then we went down to breakfast. I hate to repeat myself but the table was also beautifully arranged. We tried several different dishes during our stay, each one delicious. Our host, John and Rebecca, were there for our every need, without being intrusive. After running around all day It was so relaxing to return to our room each night. We asked several relatives to stop by and see the place. Our Aunt was thrilled as she had driven by hundreds of times and never been inside. She was not disappointed. One extra point. They have a friendly dog named Riley who helped us forget how much we missed our own pets. We plan to return here each time we return to Syracuse.

They have a pool and are right on the river. Nice view from the back. The bed was VERY comfortable. Not great: Upon mattress inspection when I arrived, there was a clover-shaped bead under the mattress pad and the bedding had cigarette holes throughout. Only 3 standard pillows for a king bed. I had to lift the door to get it to lock. The flooring was installed very poorly-- there are weird spaces between the edges of the slats throughout the room that ensure the floor cannot be cleaned properly. The bedside table had some gunk stuck to the top, there was a long drywall screw on the chair, there were wrappers from new linens in the cabinet but not on the bed, there was no extra tp (well, there were a couple rolls with a few sheets each), and there were coffee supplies but no coffee maker. I would love to say the stay was peaceful, but they gave me a room that can have a pass through to the next room and the folks were loud. However, the fact that the door was not fit properly may have had something to do with that. I moved the bedside table in front of it just in case. Also, at about 11:30 on 3/2/23 there was some lady yelling at the desk guy in the hallway about opening her room door for her. I looked out and there was a cop there as well. I got to hear all about how there was something going on and they had been in and out of the hotel all day and smoking in the room. I dunno. Not a good look, though. Overall, it was what I would have expected from a cheap weekend stay in Fulton. Fine overall

Place looks fine from the outside, once you walk in you can smell it hasn't be kept up with the greatest detail but you get what you pay for. Well once you get to the room you definitely get a lot less. The room smells horrible. There are water marks and mold all over the room. The bathroom hasn't been properly cleaned. You can hear everything that happened everywhere and it's like all the night owls are in this hotel. Pay a little more and go elsewhere.

The hotel offered a free breakfast in a little room which consisted of coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal granola bars, fruit, premade waffles and I think yogurt. Not sure what else because i didn't open the little fridge. Tea and a granola bar was good for me. All in all I had a great experience at this hotel, I think it was very pricey for the area but given that there were not many other options, I guess they could get away with the prices they charge.

Don't get me wrong, the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. But WOW does poor service leave a bad taste in your mouth. The website states "late check-out is available upon request"... but DO NOT bother requesting. Because as the manager and other front desk agent said and I quote "absolutely no exceptions". Being that check out is at 10AM, an hour earlier compared to the other hotels in the area, I didn't think this would be this much of an issue. However, the amount of attitude and insolence that was received upon asking this question was downright uncalled for. I nicely asked and received a no. Knowing that nothing is for free in life, I even offered to pay a fee or a half-days-rate as I felt that would be fair... but was given a snippy "no" and essentially scolded. Having been educated and having years of experience in hospitality, I was utterly disgusted and ashamed by the treatment from the staff. I visit Oswego, NY frequently, as well as several friends. I'll be sure to make them aware of how they will be condescendingly treated upon choosing this establishment.

The studios that we stayed in were clean and spacious. Overall, the hotel and premises were very clean. The front desk folks were super friendly. Also, there was a daily complimentary hot breakfast served from 6:30 - 9:30 AM Mon-Fri and 7 - 10 AM on Sat-Sun. Some complimentary breakfasts tend to be quite sad, but NOT THIS ONE. For the hot foods there were scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage links, bacon strips, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (YES, you read that right) and French toast sticks. There was also quite a variety of pre-packaged cereal, yogurts, milk/chocolate milk, pre-packaged banana and blueberry muffins and juice. Honestly, this was probably one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts I've had! If I had to create an ideal budget hotel with a complimentary breakfast, this hotel would be it. Definitely would stay here again in the future. (P.S. For you gamblers, the Turning Stone Resort Casino is literally across the street and they have shuttles daily from here!)
