Authentic Mexican breakfast that will have you feeling like you are eating at Abuela's house! Met up with friends traveling from different locations and Delano was the most convenient stop. Thankfully Hole in One Cafe provided us with a place to not only gather and catch up but fill our bellies with DELICIOUS food. I am a chilaquiles snob and have actually stopped ordering because more often than not they disappoint. Thankfully my friend ordered the red chilaquiles and WOW!! Sauce was perfect and just the right amount was used to adequately cover the homemade chips but still leaving some chips slightly crispy. And the side of fried panela cheese was amazingly tasty! I ordered the most basic dish on the menu, beans, potatoes and eggs. Though simple, it was beyond satisfying and I especially appreciated that the honored my request to pop the yolk. Another friend ordered the breakfast burrito and was equally pleased with her order. Service was very friendly and attentive and are server regularly checked in to refill our coffee. They have one of the best Sunday brunches I've had. The menudo, birria, chile verde, and costillas en salsa roja are all so tender you can cut them with a fork. Everything tastes like it's made with love and care, and honestly it brings back childhood memories. Just so delicious... chef's kiss. Mari has awesome customer service! Food was excellent, my brother had a chorizo breakfast burrito and it was delicious. I had eggs, hash browns, bacon and the bacon was cooked perfectly. They have a big outdoor patio which was relaxing and it felt amazing to sit and enjoy looking out on the golf course and listening to the birds sing and for a minute it seemed I was in a different city which made me trip out a little. We were in Delano for a little while for business and found this little gem. Thankful my friend is a foodie and like to try food so we went a little overboard on our order for 2 people. We had the ceviche which was bomb. We felt full after sharing that. We had to go back to Bakersfield so we at the rest of the food at home. The sushi was great and held up the car ride. We had the Crunchy California roll and the Firecracker. It both came with a green salad and a macaroni salad. The other item we had was the barbacoa. It was sweet and had some head. The beans were amazing and had this cheese on top....idk what it was but we are currently in search of the cheese! Overall, for a little hidden place, it was surprisingly good. If in Delano, I may need to pick some food up and take it back to Bakersfield. No wonder this place had a great rating. And...what drew us to the place was the variety of options. The crunch roll was good. They don't have any fresh rolls but that's ok. My brother got the chicken wings. They were better than some places in Bakersfield. I was surprised, when I went to play golf in Delano I found a great place. At the golf course there is a new restaurant just opened HOLE in ONE. It's nice and clean and best of all has great people serving and cooking. Here you can find some simple snacks like Guacamole, chicken wings, trotas, burritos and delicious, well prepared shrimp and fish. I tried the ceviche; it was fresh and just made for me. Also note the tostadas have 3 different kinds, they are small tostaditas with ceviche, mmm delicious. After the fresh tostada de ceviche I tried shrimp with nopales, something different but at the same time flavorful and good. I highly recommend you visit this place, even if you don't play golf, HOLE and ONE is a great place to eat and drink read more
