Super cute and lots of fun!! Great atmosphere, much better than the Chesapeake inn and marina, which is a bit touristy.

We informed Sandra about both hairs she told us she would go and speak to the manager she came back to tell us that the manager was not willing to do anything about it the manger didn't even come over to apologize to either of us so I requested to speak to them directly to management she came over and said she was informed by Sandra about the situation she first told us she would take off half of the bill but when the newly updated bill arrived it was just half off one crab cake sandwich and nothing off my friends entree so we informed Sandra what the manger said about taking half of the bill so once again I asked to speak to the manger she then redacted what she said and said NO! she was meaning just half off the crab cake she was very rude and abrupt not at all apologetic and walked away I didn't catch her name but she's was older lady the person I was eating with didn't finish their food either you would you think with not just one but two different plates with the same issue that they would have removed the dishes completely or did what she said in the beginning which was to take half off the bill very unprofessional and had no remorse or sympathy for almost $120.00 check I ordered a crab cake sandwich with a side of fries not a side of public hair I would not recommend or will I be returning

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

The salad bar is classic: Caesar salad, iceberg, blue cheese, bacon bits, etc. Meet family here for a fancy night out, and it was a blast. Service was good. Portions are generous, so be prepared for leftovers. We had steak and eggs for breakfast the next day. Big steaks, big baked potatoes, unlimited salad. Come hungry. Good to know: It is a splurge. Also, they won't stay you until the entire party is there. We waited at the bar for everyone to arrive, where one cocktail was more than enough for me. You definitely get your money's worth, and you should not drive afterward. (I did not.)

We weren't out for a super expensive dinner and everyone wanted something different Pizza: The pizzas are excellent, yes even the GF crust. Sushi: had two specialty rolls, one we have never tried and it was fresh and very tasty Lobster Mac and Cheese: GF pasta and again it was delicious. From our experience the upstairs price for what you get is hard to beat in value and consistent food quality - from pizza to steaks, pasta or seafood they have a wide variety of options in both price and cuisine.

He invited us back out to give the restaurant another shot - and we are so glad he did! We weren't sure what to expect for the second time, and to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Every single part of the experience was phenomenal. We tried a new appetizer (I can't remember the name but it was a crab appetizer). The crab was fresh and overall, delish. We ordered the Hairy Chinn sushi again, as we did love that the first time. We both got cocktails from their menu, and they were both so unique and refreshing (we even ordered a second round!). I tried a chef special, which was the Picanha & Charred Scallion. When I tell you, it was absolutely perfect! Everything, even down to the olive oil mixture was tasty. My fiancé ordered the crab cakes and he raved about them as well! We ordered a side of Candied Brussels sprouts - and they were easily the best Brussels sprouts we've ever tried. We couldn't resist dessert and got the crème brûlée. We loved every bit! The service was 10/10, and our server was great. She was attentive, friendly, and knew the menu well! Valet parking moved much quicker, and you can't beat the beautiful view of the boats and the water. We had so many great things to say about our experience that now our families are planning their visit too! We are so grateful that Matthew reached out to us. Inviting us back has certainly turned us into loyal customers and we cannot wait to come back!

On one hand I want to try again for dinner but for the price, I'm not sure it's worth it. Pros: Amazing service - very attentive server(s); we had one in training/shadowing and she was just as good as our primary server, offering refills, clearing plates, overall greet banter Cocktails are fantastic - had the Minnie Ripperton and loved it - creamy yet refreshing and bright which is a tough combo to achieve Cons: Hidden entrance - after circling what looked like an abandoned building 2x we finally figured out the entrance was in the backy and down a set of stairs. I now understand the "speakeasy vibe" but the clutter in the front made the building look abandoned or under construction; not a great start to the experience for us Food service - the other couple we were dining with got their entrees about 10 minutes before ours and we were some of the first orders & diners of the day. Usually you might hold the whole table or refire some of the dishes so it all comes out at the same time. They finished theirs before we even got our to start, making it a strange eating experience Small print menu - with the low light of the speakeasy, the menu had the teeeeniest print I've ever seen making it very difficult to read the menu options. We also didn't realize that the menu changes/is seasonal (not called out on the website) so many of the items we had wanted to try were not an available option. I love a menu that changes but hope it's indicated on the website (aka: sample menu, subject to seasonal change) Hit-n-miss: Fried chicken Benedict- huge portions, amazing biscuits and perfectly poached (but unseasoned?) eggs. I don't know if the hollandaise soaked into the fried chicken or never existed at all - and that's the thing you want with a Benedict. If it existed, it never reached the biscuits because while they were good, but were completely dry Shrimp and grits - perfectly cooked, great consistency, but very under-seasoned Water - just an observation and maybe it's just the local tap water flavor but it tasted off or as off the soap hadn't been washed from the glasses Pro Tip: be aware of the automatic gratuity in some circumstances; if you don't know, check the website before your meal!
