I always love coming here and had the chance to come to celebrate my birthday. The service is always spectacular and the food was 10/10 delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Prime 225 always has inviting and cozy energy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small and intimate place with lovely charm located along a Main Street in a quaint waterfront town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking could be an issue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's outdoor seating (small area on the sidewalk), indoor bar with about 10-12 seats, and a small dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very chill and relaxed vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu has great selection of food. Not just seafood options, but also non seafood available as well. We only came in for drinks and sat at the bar. Several groups ordered dinner and what came out looked good. Especially the desserts! Ordered a lemon drop martini and a Sidecar and both were lovely. It was a bit busy so service was super fast, but that's to be expected in a small restaurant where people at the bar are eating full meals and there's one bartender for the entire place. The staff were super friendly. Would come again and try dinner for sure!! Great space to come for just a cocktail or a nice meal.

Dinner at Prime 225 was mostly hits. The wine selection was great for pairing with the meal, but the steak was just okay. The Brussels sprouts were the true star, followed closely by the delightful beignets. The lobster and crab dish was massive and as delicious as it was impressive- definitely expect leftovers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a small and intimate charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just a heads up, parking can be tough, so I recommend getting there early on a Friday or Saturday and enjoying a pre-dinner walk.

One of the best steaks I've ever had in my life--perfectly tender, buttery, and absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the porterhouse for two, shared a bottle of wine, and everything about the experience was amazing. The service was great and very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is quaint and intimate, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We usually prefer sitting at the bar, but this was a place we truly enjoyed dining at a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

'What went well', asks Yelp? Everything! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fabulous food, great cocktails, excellent service, awesome vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Each time we go I enjoy it more! Highly recommend going, and making a reservation in advance.

One of my favorite places. Walked in with no reservation and Frank made it happen on a Friday Night. He's the best! All the food came out with the best timing and cooked perfectly. The drinks are always great too. Such a great date night spot. Very calm ambiance for a date night!

Ask the Community - Prime 225

Do they have any specials currently (Jan 2023)?

Any Friday night specials? Also, do you accept reservations?

I've always made a reservation for here. I've been before on a Friday when they did have specials. I've also been on the weekend when they did not have any specials (it might depend on the season).

Does anyone know what are the hours and/or specials for happy hour?

Mondays at the bar there are buck-a-shuck oysters, and half priced bar menu! Tuesdays we are featuring two "pre fix" menus, with four courses (appetizer, salad, entree and dessert) for $100. It's a full Prime experience for a great price. Come check…

Does anyone know what the price range of these dishes are? It's not posted on their website

$10 will start you off with appetizers and dinners can go up into the $60 dollar range. Most things are al la cart. Dinner for two with dessert and drinks can easily be $150 but it is definitely worth it. The food is amazing.

Do they have draft beer available?

Yes, and a full service bar.

I have to say this restaurant is fantastic. We sat on the cover deck right along the water got to see the boots coming in and out. The food was fantastic. They make an excellent bloody Mary, which is one of my favorite drinks! My mom had a peach Bellini and she raved about it. Our server was fantastic. This has become our new favorite, so we will definitely be returning and I can't wait! We had the crab dip and the muscles read for our appetizers. We love muscles and do you eat a lot of muscles I have to say they need to add more sauce to those muscles and it would make them far better. The crab dip is great. I had to crab meat tacos fantastic. My fiancé had the broiled seafood combo. It was good but for that price there was not enough food. I wish I would've taken a picture of that and I didn't so that's my fault. Definitely need to put more food on that plate for that price. My dad had the crabcakes and he said it was very good so all in all we all loved it. It's super close for my parents coming from Jersey so this is definitely be when we return great experience.

We tried a new appetizer (I can't remember the name but it was a crab appetizer). The crab was fresh and overall, delish. We ordered the Hairy Chinn sushi again, as we did love that the first time. We both got cocktails from their menu, and they were both so unique and refreshing (we even ordered a second round!). I tried a chef special, which was the Picanha & Charred Scallion. When I tell you, it was absolutely perfect! Everything, even down to the olive oil mixture was tasty. My fiancé ordered the crab cakes and he raved about them as well! We ordered a side of Candied Brussels sprouts - and they were easily the best Brussels sprouts we've ever tried. We couldn't resist dessert and got the crème brûlée. We loved every bit! Well, there is no seating where the music is not loud so they shouldn't even be offering it. I've never been in a restaurant where the live music is almost deafening. It was out of control. I don't know how anyone was able to sit inside and have a conversation because you had to yell at the person beside you. Once we were able to get a table (outside in the cold since the music was so loud) and a waiter finally came we ordered food. Skipping ahead...I ordered the nachos. If you like cold queso out of a jar then this is the dish for you! No exaggeration, the queso was completely cold like it had been spooned out of the jar from the shelf. Unreal. Add to this, the dock that backs up to the restaurant kept catching fire. I kid you not. There was some loose pipe or cable that caught fire at least twice while there. Stay away from this place!

My crab bisque had good flavor, but only a few shreds of crab meat. My wife's Jazzy Jeff soup also had very little crab in it. The crab cake was advertised as having lump crabmeat. It didn't. The fries were good, but the Parmesan cheese mentioned on the menu seemed to be MIA. When our server brought boxes for leftovers she also dropped the check, even though we haven't asked for it. Looking through the glass panes in their door at the bottom of the steps leading to the back yard and C & D Canal, it appeared that the lights were off and that it wasn't open for business at 3:00 p.m. The door wasn't locked, so I opened it to step inside to try for a better look. It was then I saw a woman behind the bar who appeared to be setting up for business. She also saw me and asked if she could be of service. I asked if the place was open? She explained that it was, and she would be happy to make me a cocktail, however, they rarely had customers this time of day midweek, and that if I was hungry the restaurant above would certainly be happy to take care of me. The conversation continued briefly as she explained the two businesses had a common owner and shared a kitchen with a slightly different, but mainly overlapping menu. The large dining room next door was shared, although there were several tables in the shadows as well as a few barstools. The darkness seemed appropriate; like a cave where many things could be hidden from view and likely to instill a sense of secrecy and even conspiracy, for example, a perfect stop for the Underground Railroad or a speakeasy during Prohibition. Realizing I was taking up her time, and that she had better things to do than listen to a stranger's fantasies, I excused myself and exited the door I had just entered. She smiled and nodded, as she continued wiping the glassware in preparation for the night's guests.

The bar tender was very nice, very courteous . Then the issues began to emerge. Keep in mind what time it is and there are only 6-7 people in the bar. The men's bathroom was filthy. Like there was excrement on the wall, trash cans over flowing and toilet paper on the wall, stuck to it. All over the floor. The bar tender said something to the manager and the excuse was that it was the bait parade the night before. They have had over 12 hours to clean the bathroom. The nachos were absolutely gross. Poured cheese, 3 jalapeños, cold chicken. Two years ago it was a mix of cheese and smoked chicken, and delicious. I hope the owners read this and take note.
