Came in for some things as one does and was overall impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the store. There were plenty of workers stocking shelves and otherwise being helpful. Checkout continues to be a concern though, so many registers and on the weekend before Christmas, three open. What's the point? If you don't staff them on a Saturday afternoon in December, why not remove them? I wound in the line with Carol as the cashier.... I usually try to avoid her because she's generally rude- even while calling me "sir". I asked for bags so I could start bagging and she said" I have them" when she refused to give me one to start, I asked the girl at the next register for bags, she nearly yelled at me telling me again, " I said, I have them!" When I replied and ask for one to get started, she said, "I'll do it". What a waste of my time. Not in the mood for an argument, I let it go but for the love of god, if Stop n Shop is going to make me pay .05 cents per bag, can they not be made of tissue paper? This is an old problem and never fixed. read more

Your Chicken Wraps in the grab n go section are delicious but the wraps are not completely FULL. They are lacking chicken about 2/3rds of the way down. Charge a dollar more if you have to but fill the wrap up!!! read more

First time to this location on a weekend no less and surprised it wasn't too crowded! Spacious parking lot and huge store... easy to find anything needed as aisles are all marked. If need anything from the deli, take a number and wait for the number to be called. Found what I was looking for very quickly...and glad they were stocked with variety of options. YAY! Self check out was quick and easy! Will be coming back to this location esp since no long lines (knocking on wood)! don't forget to bring your own re-usable bags or put items in your cart and roll out to your car in the parking lot. read more

Arrived there 45 minutes before closing after 15 minutes of shopping I go to the register and even though there are four cashiers hanging around talking there was only self checkout available, I had many items that needed to be punched in manually! If this is how the management treats their customers at this location, I will go elsewhere. read more

In case you're wondering there is a bottle recycling room, but it's inside the building, to the left and last the flowers (heading towards the pharmacy). Had to call and ask. I happen to like Stop & Shop. I shop here often as it is near my home. The prices are pretty good most of the time. The only thing i can say i would like to see in the store is the customer scanning system that a lot of the other Shop & Stops have. The self scanning system is a huge savings in time for the customer. Other than that no complaints. read more

Produce selection is just okay. Sure you can find a few things but you really have to try to get the fresher of the batch. Fruit isn't bad but only if it's on sale. The bakery is actually really great, and the deli section is fine. There's a great selection of packaged meats when there's a deal. Lines are clean and easy and somewhat fast or fast enough. Even when it's really crowded, you're not there for too long. read more

I come here pretty frequently in the morning to get my groceries before work. At this time you can get in and out and the parking lot is devoid of stray shopping carts. Items are always stocked and he xahsier line is typically no more than one or two people long. I've always gotten good customer service whenever I had a priced dispute. I use their rewards card to save even more. I keep coming back because if the sales and the supermarket is clean and way to get in bed out especially if you use the self checkout. read more

I go to this Stop & Shop since it is the closest supermarket to my home. Prices are just OK. Produce could stand to be a little fresher. Bakery is good, except for the Italian bread which is not at all crusty as it should be. Meat is always 1st rate. The store brands are pretty good, especially the ice cream and frozen foods. I carefully peruse the circular every week and get the sale items which are usually very attractively priced, though sometimes in short supply. I like their new feature of earning points on your purchase that you can convert into store credit to pay for later purchases. Here's my complaint: Nine times out of ten I use the self checkout and the clerk assigned to help there is a short, older white haired woman with a terrible attitude who seems to be in a perpetually foul mood. She acts like she's doing you a huge favor by simply doing her job. She screams at the customers and generally is so nasty and incompetent at her job one can't help but wonder if she is secretly employed by Shop Rite to drive customers away from Stop & Shop. read more

This stop and shop in Woodbury is mediocre at best. I find the selection to be lousy. Dix Hills is much better. I expected better selection in a neighborhood such as Woodbury. Dix Hills and Northport Stop and Shop have the dog food I'm looking for but not Woodbury? It seems little better than the stop and shop in Cropsey Avenue Brooklyn and that one is absolutely horrible. You're better off going to Fairway. read more

Yesterday I was there at 10:15 AM went to recycle cans when I was finished total 71 cans the paper jammed to print the receipt I went to the courtesy desk to report they called over the loud speaker for an attendant to report to the bottle room I waited for 15 minutes no one came so I lost my money this is my 3rd bad experience there and there was a stop and shop employee in uniform recycling her own bottles there and she offered no help and blew me off definitely not going back read more

Great Stop and Shop! Fantastic health and organics section, always well stocked, great prices (cheaper than king Kullen by far and so much better). There are always enough lanes open. They also have a decent selection of plants outside for summer and holiday decor for the winter. They have catering and the usual selection of takeout foods like sushi and salads etc. read more

Customer Service has gone straight downhill in during the 12 + years I've shopped here . I stopped by last evening , 5/31/22 , at around 7 PM , just to pick up some fruit . As I am often visiting the numerous parks and preserves north of this outlet , it has often been a convenient stop for me . However , I shop here less and less , as I find some employees unaccountably rude . This will be my last visit for at least a year , regardless of the occasional convenience . Why ? There were only two staffed checkouts open , as management is trying to steer patrons to self checkout ( to save money by hiring fewer employees ) , which I try to avoid . The patron in front of me was a little confused and " out of it " , giving the cashier a very hard time and keeping several customers waiting . Twice I suggested that she go to Customer Service , while the poor cashier rolled his eyes . When help of sorts finally came , the young man ( ostensibly customer service ) made no apologies , and brushed me off , telling me to go to the self service area .....after I had already waited for about 10 minutes . At the age of 67 , I didn't appreciate being bullied by a coarse , 20ish employee ; the occasional convenience of this outlet simply is not worth subjecting myself to insulting behavior , and this wasn't the first time . Are there any adults , real adults , in CS ? I would enjoy speaking to whoever is really in charge here . read more

These employees have been here serving us faithfully since March and I salute them. They have done a wonderful job. However, now with the new bag rule, things have changed. I was struggling with getting my things into the bags that I brought (Stop and Shop reusable bags, of course) and the cashier "Ricky" could only hang out and look at his cell phone. Helping customers fill their bags and get the line moving was clearly not his job. Contrast this with Matt, who, at another time, helped me fill the bags and get out of there so that the line would move quickly. Sad to see that not all the cashiers are on board with doing their jobs. read more

This is the closest one near my parents place. The kids that work here are respectable. I've lost my NY edge because these places fall so short of what texas grocery stores do and have available. This ain't not HEB but it has everything that you need a decent price. the temperature inside is nice, not too cold or hot. The aisles are fully stocked and it's relatively clean. read more

DONT BELIEVE THE FLIER THAT WAS MAILED OUT TO YOU- the fruit is bad and is not what they imply. I just bought a whole water melon there and did my check out to get a sweet one . When I came home and cut it open it looked nice and red but I noticed it wasn't juicy. Usually there is water all over the place. Not here . It was dry to the taste and NOT sweet at all. Check your expiration dates before buying. They don't pull expired stuff off the shelves. Gave my son a chocolate milk I bought yesterday to him this morning, he grimaced, he said it didn't taste right. I looked at the cap and found it had a sell by date of 11/30. I have had friends mention the same thing to me, buying products without checking the date from this site and finding out the product had expired. Love this store. Fabulous & friendly staff. Sue the manager, runs the store wonderfully. I have ordered my daughter's cakes through the bakery and always get so many compliments. They did a breakaway spongebob cupcake cake and my guest raved about it. They have great sales here and when something is on sale there is always plenty in stock so you don't have to get a rain check. Corrine & John in the meat department are so helpful!
