Do not go here if you want to be treated with respect. The manager of the motel and owner of #22, which we rented, is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. We (4 adults) rented his cottage for 10 days. There was confusion with the dates as he does not work with contracts. I did ask for one. My error not insisting. He was very lax with his scheduling, and we should have known better, but we took him at his word that we were all set. He was so upset when we talked and the dates were incorrect, (off by 1 day) he actually starting yelling at me. We could have solved this calmly but he would not even let me speak.
I have never been talked to so rudely as I was by him. He already had my money, so we were committed to the rental. The things he said to me were awful. He actually even called me a liar. When we got there, the cottage was tiny, Yes it was a 2 bedroom, as advertised, but there was one couch for 4 people to sit on and that was it. That was not the actual problem, just the first of many. It was the fans and lights that were hanging from the ceilings and rattling when on. Also the leaks under the sink. We had electricians and plumbers working there while we were renting. Should never be like that. He had the new fans inside the cottage, just hadn't installed them yet. Opening windows was another chore. I almost put my hand through the glass when I opened one. A mess. Should never be rented in this condition. He took my good money after treating me so badly and left us in that condition. When I told him as we were leaving that I did not appreciate being talked to that way, he said he told everyone at the pool about me. What that means I do not know, as I didn't speak to him all week.
