Came here since a friend has Marriott perks and we needed a quaint place to stay for two nights. It did it's job. Right off the highway, it's pretty convenient to supermarkets (Whole Foods and ShopRite) and restaurants. Parking was adequate, though the ones close to the door get taken quite quickly when it's below zero degrees outside! The rooms were clean, and it was pretty quiet. No complaints on my end. I know there's a gym and a pool, but didn't get to explore as I was tired both days of travel. The lounge area was pretty nice with a fire.

    Nasty pull out

Don't walk....run away from this place. If I could give this dump less than one star I would. Lobby smells like garbage. Booked a king room with pull out sofa bed, returned to room around midnight and pulled out the sofa bed. Disgusting stains and lord knows what excreta on the mattress (see photo). I wouldn't put an any living creature on that mattress. The sofa was also torn so there is no way they didn't know that the piece was in poor condition. Went to the front desk, showed the photo, and asked for another room for two members of my party that were supposed to use the pull out. Clearly explained that two members of my party needed another room and the other two would stay in the original room. Initially was told that the room was just a "king" room - um no, not according to my reservation. They did give us another room - It's about midnight at this point in time . About 30 min later maintenance tried to enter the original room, waking me up, so they could "fix" the sofa. Then, maintenance went to the other room and banged on the door, waking and scaring the two members of my party who had just relocated there. Called the front desk and was told they didn't understand that part of the party would remain in the original room. Instead of owning their crappy furniture conditions and failure to understand the needs of their guests they were unwilling to accept responsibility, accept their own misunderstanding. My party would have been better off sleeping in our car.

Facilities were clean and in good shape, and service was better than average, but we were looking forward to using the pool and it was underheated and uncomfortable. The hot tub was out of commission entirely (they try to hide it under a bunch of mats). There is one thing that makes it certain I will not return to this hotel: they distribute the Epoch Times, a propaganda rag from the right wing Falun Gong cult, in their lobby, instead of a legitimate paper. I won't give my money to a business that thinks this is OK.

I stayed two nights this past weekend on a business trip down to NJ. Overall it was a bit below my expectations given the price rate but I suppose it wasn't all that terrible either. First the good parts, it was definitely very conveniently off rt 46 and very close to I80, I love how close it was to all the different restaurants and shops in the area. My room itself was actually pretty nice, the furniture are relatively new and I have no complaints about the bathroom. I only wish I wasn't given the ground corner room at the end of the hotel on the opposite side of the ice machine. The second morning the trash pick up truck was definitely a bit of a nuisance since the bins are right outside of the rooms window. But I guess that room must have been the lowest rate when I booked hence I got stuck with it lol. The TV system is nice that it works with most of the internet TV streaming now but I hated how I couldn't adjust the brightness and color of the TV making it hard to see at time. And lastly of course is that the pool was still closed when I visited which was disappointing, it seems to be working fine too but I'm guessing its a COVID related restriction. I didn't have any major issues that needed to reach out to the staff but the check in process was relatively simple and quick. Overall its an okay stay, but you get what you paid for exactly~

I wasn't impressed at all. The hallways/stairwells were dirty like they haven't been cleaned since COVID started. My room was hot when I opened the door. The bedspread has a spot of blood on it. The bathroom had hair on the floor. The table/desk had something dried on it (milk? Ice cream? Booger?). I almost asked for a different room, but it was late and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. Plus I didn't have a good check in experience and didn't think the night auditor would be receptive. She didn't inform me about anything. No internet access information, no food status, pool or gym status, nothing. I won't be staying at this Marriott again. I have it saved as a favorite to make sure I avoid it. One thing I forgot to add. The last several Marriott's I've stayed at had seals on the doors showing they were cleaned and sanitized. Obviously something new due to COVID. This room didn't have that. Maybe it wasn't or maybe this hotel doesn't have the same policy the last 3 Marriotts had.

Most stuff closed : staff limited but very nice. Rooms a bit dated with upgrade even but got a room not used for 9 days so that was Covid friendly. Location is good, different options close by.

I had the pool to myself, the hot tub didn't get hot

Good morning! As I said every day to the parking lot paving guys. Every night I'd get a special letter, please move your vehicle from the parking lot before 8am. If I worked all nite and had to get up at 8am to move my car I'd be livid. That being said, The Courtyard Parsippany was a welcomed hotel during my stay in New Jersey. They don't offer free breakfast and the hot tub wasn't hot!? But it sure was nice to take a dip in the pool and relax after a long day. So! Newly paved parking lot, Clean rooms, indoor pool and a counter area for ordering food and coffee. 4 stars from me today

We stayed there on our way to NYC, I booked the room through the hotel website by applying AAA rate for like $81, it's was well worth it. The staff was friendly but they didn't go out of their way as we asked for one hour late checkout as I didn't check in till almost 9:00 but they declined it, there was a oriental guy working the morning shift. The rooms were roomy, they had coffee maker, mini fridge etc only one soap for sink and the bath tub but general very clean, we got the balcony room on third floor, their restaurant in the lobby or more like a lounge closed at 10:00 but there is a TGIF on walking distance so we went there. In the morning they serve Starbucks coffee out of their lounge with breakfast but no free breakfast, the jacuzzi by the pool wasn't working. Overall a nice and clean hotel, I will say there again if I go by there.

King bed smart TV as well

Decent one night stay here. My son husband and I went to crayon world and crashed here for the night. Quick check in, clean sheets and we got a microwave upon request at check in. If I'm in the area and need somewhere to sleep this is a go to hotel.

The hotel is old; the latest updates seemed like they were from 10-20 years ago. If you stand near the window, you can feel cold air seeping through the cracks (1 star off). The staff is friendly, but no one brings up anything if you need anything. I got a paper cut and needed a Band-Aid, and was told to go down to the front desk to get it myself. I guess it was a good thing that I did not have a more severe injury? I am not a prima donna, so that was fine. Cleaning crew turns down the thermostat to 64F after servicing your room. I guess they don't know that the windows are seeping cold air and guests want the thermostat up. They really should not be adjusting the room temperature during cleaning though. If you are looking for a no-frills hotel in the area, this is a good choice.

We worked primarily with KeriAnn to help coordinate for the weekend of our wedding and she was so thorough and detail oriented. She was incredibly communicative and made sure we went through all the nuances of our wedding weekend with a fine toothed comb. The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, modern & spacious. We used Gathering Room 1 & 2 the day of the wedding for myself & the bridal party to get ready in with the hair and makeup artists which was more than enough space to accommodate everyone. We were able to access the space early in the morning and the hotel even provided a complimentary hotel room next door for us to use to store our stuff, use the restroom and take photos in. The staff was great about passing out hotel room bags to our guests, putting together signage for our shuttle, and trying their best to accommodate early check-ins when they could. We opted to have an after party and were able to keep the bar open that was private for just our guests which was the best way to end the night with our family & friends. Raj was an incredibly attentive & friendly bartender. We had nothing but a positive experience here and will continue to recommend it to other couples who may be looking for a room block for their wedding weekends!

Initially had an accessible room to accommodate my partner's needs but she wanted a better room to what she seen online when booked. Room was larger with a nice outside view of pool area, and thunderstorms as they passed during the evening. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower head was a bit funky but manageable. Meh more like 2.5 stars! This hotel has always stood out to…read moreme because it looks exactly like a castle. After passing by it for years, we finally decided to book a 24-hour stay to see what it was like. The outside really does give off that fairytale castle vibe, but once inside, the magic fades. The property is huge and extremely busy--the lobby felt more like Grand Central Station than a relaxing getaway, which was a little overwhelming. They even had a security guard walking around the lobby, which felt a bit unusual. On the plus side, the hotel has lots of parking and is conveniently located right off the highway, so it's easy to get to. They also have both an indoor and outdoor pool, though we didn't have time to check them out. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice view, and the bed was comfortable. However, everything else felt very dated, as if it hasn't been refreshed since the early -2000s. The mini-fridge alone looked at least 15 years old. For such a large room, the bathroom was extremely small, with the sink, toilet, tub, and shower all crammed into the same space. They still use a shower curtain, and while they do provide toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and soap), the setup felt more budget-level than "castle." The closet also didn't have any extra blankets or pillows, which was disappointing given the size of the property. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs (steak, fries, chicken Caesar salad, and two drinks). The food was decent--not bad, but nothing memorable. We did end up moving seats because there was a noticeable gnat issue near the bar, which wasn't ideal. Check-in and check-out were both smooth, but we were a bit annoyed when housekeeping knocked at 9 a.m. on our departure day to ask when we'd be leaving. Overall, this hotel has so much potential. The exterior is beautiful and inviting, but the inside doesn't live up to the castle charm. It's in serious need of updates, and for the price, it doesn't quite deliver on luxury or relaxation. If you're looking for a busy, castle-themed stay that's easy to get to and offers pools and parking, it might work for you. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere until renovations are made.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany has serious heating/cooling problems and you need to be aware of that before booking here. Came here for an event and left with one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany is easy to access and has plenty of parking, but you do have to pay for parking. I want to say this before I go further, the hotel staff were not really the problem here, it's the whole property as the building and rooms are out of date. Check-in went badly, as while they did have my reservation, they could not check me in even with downloading the app. Corporate helpdesk even had problems when the employees called about my reservation. Basically, my reservation had to be deleted and remade, and this whole process from start to finish took around an hour, and it was frustrating. The interior of this hotel is iconic. The atrium is full of trees, plants, fountains, and stone walkways. It is very visually appealing, and I cannot stress that enough, with a large amount of natural light coming in from all the windows. This design caused one of the biggest problems of the weekend sadly, as the heating/cooling plant could not keep up with the high temperature's outside. The interior of this hotel was shockingly warm all weekend, and very much affected our event experience. On top of that, the pool was closed for renovations, so you couldn't even go for a swim to cool off. For the rooms, they were suites with a nice amount of square footage. The beds were comfortable, but the whole room looked like it had not been upgraded in roughly a decade based on the wear and tear and what TVs are provided. Room did come with a larger mini-fridge and microwave. Because of the oppressive heat outside, our rooms heating/cooling basically did not work all weekend, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom due to its design and shower curtain could easily flood the floor. Our mini-fridge was dirty on the inside with some sort of spill I cleaned up using disinfectant I brought along. One sink had major calcium deposit that I could not remove. It was also dark in the room unless you opened both the atrium facing and outside facing curtains. Our room was disappointing for the most part due to the heat. The complimentary breakfast was ok, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, various grains, pastries, coffee, juice, soda, and an omelet bar. Event space is somewhat limited depending on your needs, and you might have to be creative with setups. Overall, this hotel was massively disappointing and I cannot recommend staying here at the $150-$200 price point. The iconic look of the atrium is the only reason to stay here and you should otherwise avoid the Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany unless absolutely necessary.

When I was looking for a hotel in the area I did a bit of research and learned this homewood was recently renovated. The lobby is very nice and inviting along with the light color furniture selection and window detailing in the rooms. Homewood hotels always have a more spacious layout since they include kitchens and a living room area in either a studio or bedroom format. There is also a basketball court outside, an indoor pool, and 2 pelotons in the gym (per my coworker) for those that want to remain active during their stay. There is also onsite parking which I hear costs money from other reviews and I was not told that so waiting for that bill to come through... Now for the lack of cleanliness... I walked up to my room and there were 2 lady bugs right by my room number. I walked in my room and there was one on the wall. Since ladybugs can be an infestation, I figured switching rooms would not fix this. It was also late and I didn't feel like running around town to find another place to stay. Upon settling into the room I started finding hair in various places of all color... brown, blond, black, curly, wavy, and straight. My coffee table had a sticky spot on it, clearly not wiped throughly. There were brown/black spots on the ceiling and cabinets. I found a random pair of socks in the stairwell on my last morning as I was leaving. Also the cherry on the cake... my shower took FOREVER to heat up, to the point I thought it wasn't working. I made up my mind that I would suck it up and take a cold shower then check out first thing since I was exhausted and didn't feel like getting dressed and packing. Luckily as I was rushing to take my shower it started to get a little warmer and finally on the verge of hot, so I decided to stay another night and letting it run for 10 minutes before getting in (I would be pissed at this water bill if it were my actual home). Didn't remove a star for this but I do wish there were more takeaway options for breakfast like fruit. I grabbed a yogurt which worked but maybe some hotels are not doing fresh fruit anymore to minimize waste? However, what really rubbed me the wrong way was being charged $15 PER NIGHT for parking WITHOUT BEING TOLD! We checked in, and were asked if we had a car. Naturally we said yes, and were handed a little tag to hand on our windshield. At no point were we told there was a charge for parking, nor did it state as much on the aforementioned tag. Several of my friends who checked in with us had a similar experience. Even if we were appropriately informed that we would have to pay, it's nonetheless a ridiculous policy. The only time I've ever had to pay for parking at a hotel like this was in the heart of major cities such as Manhattan or Chicago, not rural New Jersey!! Considering the rooms are disproportionately expensive as it is, making guests pay for parking is corporate greed at its worst. Additionally, my wife and I left our room at 9:00am to attend a nearby wedding. We got back to the hotel around midnight, only to find that our room had not been cleaned. It was very disappointing. Lastly, a friend of hours who was also staying in the hotel had called the front desk to request extra linens. The response? "Come down and get them." Like I said, the lobby was very clean and the breakfast was great, but having to pay for parking in an area like this is ludicrous. What made it even worse was the deception.

I won't be returning to this location, and I'd encourage the hotel to take a closer look at both its room maintenance and the accuracy of the information its staff provides to guests.

It just keeps going and going. We stayed here on a recent trip to New Jersey. It was a great stay. Would most definitely stay here again. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms fresh and clean. Pillows kind of sucked as they were too soft, but if you pile up three of the it worked out. I'm not sure how old it is, I am sure it's not new, but you could not tell it wasn't. Meticulously well kept! Bravo! It had the normal carb heavy fake food breakfast. It's free, what do you expect Adam?? Hard pass on all of that. The paper thin bacon is ok if you 176 slices, that is equivalent to about 1/4 pound maybe. Tehehe There is a nice looking restaurant attached with a great bar. We hit bar up every day but the food we got was subpar. That's disappointing. The grounds are beautiful too! Great Hampton Inn experience!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! '26 - 90

Liquor store across the highway. What sets this hotel apart is the Calandras Mediterranean restaurant. It's fantastic and a big step up from the average hotel fare. I enjoyed my stay, and the complimentary breakfast was very nice, with waffles, oatmeal, omelettes, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc. Nice outdoor lounge space at hotel too.
