My review is more on the service end of this hotel. I tried to acquire a room block and was told that not only was that fine but a contract was on the way. After a week of not hearing back I sent a follow up email. Needless to say I've still not received any communication on the room block and it's been almost a month. Best part was the pool and hot tub. That said it seems they have Housekeeping staff problems. When we arrived to our room there was dirty linen in the closet and someone's takeout in the mini fridge. One additional irritation was expecting a suite. A better term would be a standard room with 2 beds and a sofa. read more

Great personality clean friendly staff I must of been there at least 10 times going back in mid December

I chose this hotel because they have queen suites which is what we needed. Two queen beds and a pull out sofa. Upon arrival I was checked in immediately by a nice man only to realize we were on floor 4 when I requested 1st floor or close to elevator prior to arrival then we were the furthest from the elevator. Possibly that is where those suites are located but I would have liked some communication since I had my mom who can't walk too well with us. We made do. Also there were a lot of kids staying in the hotel so maybe that was the reason for it but the pool area was dirty and unkept with no towel available, luckily we brought some. There were no blankets or pillow for the pull out sofa just sheets, we had to use our own blankets from our car and share pillows. Upon checking out I simply handed in my cards, no one asked how our stay was or anything. I know when you're staying at a holiday inn you're not expecting 5 star hotel service but they definitely have some things they need to improve on. I stayed at the Bethlehem holiday inn . Breakfast was awesome, Always fresh and out early. I was not a one day stay person , I lived there for over 2 weeks . I got to meet the staff and see personally who was working and who wasn't . Victoria was the main kitchen staff during my stay , she was extremely accommodating. If I could give zero stars, I WOULD. J&J Came here for a youth baseball tournament. The location is convenient, but the hotel itself needs a massive deep cleanse. We walked into our room and had trash (cups, napkins, etc...) in the corners and next to the beds. There were small rocks on the couch, old stains on the couch and chairs, and crumbs on the floor. The large mirror in the room looked like it had been cleaned with a mechanics rag. The biggest issue, however, was the fridge. With two kids in tow, we needed it for drinks and leftovers. However, there was mold all over the ceiling of the fridge and in the small freezer. Absolutely NASTY. If the fridge is like this, I can only imagine what the ice machines are like. There is no way we will be eating the free breakfast. We told the front desk about it. They said they would send someone up in the morning. Doesn't help us at all, since we are checking out then. Next time we are in town, we will definitely stay somewhere else. There are plenty of options nearby and I don't ever want to step foot in this place again. read more

Upon arrival, we encountered an issue with our room key, which was met with a complete lack of hospitality from Tracy. However, this was nothing compared to the terrifying and traumatic experience we faced when a stranger entered our room at 1:00 AM, with a key card that your employee provided. This intrusion was not only deeply unsettling but also left us feeling anxious and unsafe, severely disrupting our night and making it difficult to regain any sense of security. Tracy's indifferent response, which lacked any compassion or basic courtesy, was shocking. Upon our checkout, we explained to the manager on duty what happened the night before. She expressed her concern and apologized, however, given the circumstances I feel this warranted more than apologies. read more

We requested a two-queen room and got a mini-suite with a pair of queen beds, kitchenette and living room area. The room was nice with good space for my family. The woman checking is in was nice, but alone. So there was a bit of a line and delay. The complimentary breakfast was ok. It was pretty standard fare with hot oatmeal, cereal, a pancake machine, yogurts, muffins and more. The turkey sausage was an unnatural shade of gray and they were out of pork sausage. The scrambled eggs were very dry. Overall, it was one of my better experiences in a Holiday Inn property. It is still a few steps below what the Hilton and Marriott chains offer. read more

A great alternative to stay at if the casino rooms are booked, or, if you are in the area and don't want to be charged an arm and a leg for a room. This place is a mere 2 miles away from Sands. They have a pool available during the day and a snack store that's available 24/7. Complimentary breakfast is s nice touch, too. I've stayed here several times and the rooms have always been extremely clean and tidy. The service is always great. James at the front desk was extremely pleasant and made our stay great with his friendly demeanor. He was also able to accommodate a late check out on a weekend, which was much appreciated. 10/10. read more

When you first arrive you get the generic hotel set up. Front desk, area for breakfast in the am. There is a pool and a gym as well. We stayed in room 425 on 12.09.22. We stayed overnight. The room's sconces did not work, so when we arrived to the room there was very little light. The next day the large window was able to light up the room so we didn't have to worry as much, but if you checked in at 5 pm you'd be staying in a very dark room. I started to shower, and the water completely shut off on me, and started making a noise. The sinks were also not running. We called the front desk and we're told "someone would be up in a minute", and literally not a single person came. Luckily we were able to actually get the shower working again so I could finish showering after the 20 minute ordeal. Very disappointed in the front desk staff and who ever was supposed to help with the water situation. It was poorly handled and disrespectful to your guests. I wouldn't return. read more

I am in a different hotel every week and frequent Holiday Inn's. This place was almost perfect, which is excellent by my book. They are also literally the only ones to ever read and act on a special request that I make in every reservation. I will definitely book here again!!! Located 10 minutes from Bethlehem Steel, the Just Born Factory, and many other points of interest; about 20 minutes from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs Coca-Cola minor league baseball park. We spent the extra $10 to get a suite and it was worth it for the fridge and extra space; total price was $122 on a Saturday night in April. The room was clean with modern decor. Name brand toiletries, which was nice. Everything in working order, no weird smells. Staff was friendly and check in/out was a breeze. They happily gave us toothbrushes and a comb, which we forgot to pack. There's a free breakfast, but the hotel is right next door to a Waffle House and there's a walkway between the two. Location is across from a quiet neighborhood and felt safe. Not much a view from the room, but that wasn't a big deal, as we were only there a few hours. Our only complaint was that the pool/spa room was fairly dirty. Not so bad we didn't hop in the pool and the whirlpool tub, but the floor was sopping wet and, in places, grimy, and we noticed (too late) that some of the bubbles in the tub were brown. We were there at the very end of the day, though, so maybe it's cleaner earlier in the day. They did have plenty of seating areas and towels. The pool closes at 11, but the well-equipped workout room is open 24 hours. Overall, we liked the hotel and would stay here again. read more

This location is so-so. I stay here sometimes when I am traveling for work. The desk staff is usually pretty decent. It can be noisy at times (a lot of construction workers have been here on multiple visits and the noise level gets high). Rooms are pretty clean most of the time. I recently stayed here for 2 nights while in the area to see a show at the nearby Sands Casino. Check in was quick with friendly staff. When no King rooms were available for 1 of my 2 night stay, the manager nicely upgraded us to an accessible King room at no extra charge. Nice customer service. We also enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies at check in. They had cool electric shades in the room but no instructions on how to use them. I called down to the desk to ask for assistance and within minutes someone came up to help me. Again, great service. The only minor issue we had was that on our 2nd day at the hotel we got a knock at the door in the afternoon. It was housekeeping asking if we wanted the room cleaned. I told her it had already been cleaned. I thought it was strange but no big deal. Later in the evening I noticed that our used towels had not been replaced. Maybe that's what housekeeping came back for? But she never mentioned needing to replace the towels. Anyway, I called the front desk to request the towels and they were brought up within 10 minutes. While breakfast was great on the first morning of our stay, which included hot pancakes, biscuits with gravy and pork and turkey sausages, the final morning, a Monday, left a lot to be desired. The pancake machine was out of order and no scrambled eggs, just a nasty southwestern omelette and a egg white veggie omelette. But the cold options were pretty good including cereals, juices, yogurts and fruit. Overall I think this is a good option for a stay in this area and we would come back again. read more

When we walked into our room it looked very nice, large & clean. We booked it primarily for the pool as we were visiting our grandkids. We had to reserve a day & time for the poll as the said they had to sanitize it between patrons. Wrong! It was very dirty. There were orange marks on the walls( Cheetos?), dirty towels on the ground and the pool deck was quite filthy. The bathroom had one ply toilet paper, so our daughter gave us a roll to use. The coffee at the breakfast was very bitter. The clerk said they were short on staff but this was beyond just a few days or weeks. read more

A great place to stay when traveling for business. Right off the highway and next to a Waffle House. The room was great and very spacious. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I did not receive daily room service and the temperature set in room could have a little bit of more range. Not one of the better hotels I've stayed at. Although the rooms are non-smoking, I have smelled cigarette smoke in the hall at least 3 times within our stay. The bathroom in our room had stray black hairs in the tub and on the floor. Although there are only two of us checked in, a 3rd guest made it's way into our room. My friends got locked in the bathroom for a while and weren't able to come out. When they notified the front desk, all they said was "I know..okay... i know" and some other crap. We are so glad we chose this place after a very disappointing cottage rental that smelled like mildew we had to pack up at 10:00 at night and we were so glad to find this place. I have stayed here twice and both times have been to utilize the shuttle service to Sands Casino, although this hotel always manages to book up quickly and it is because of it's extremely convenient location off Rt-78 (and of course the free breakfast). However, being located off 78 has its flaws as there are rooms overlooking the on-ramp and it was loud at times in the morning. The traffic in this immediate area is currently horrendous due to day/night construction and the traffic coming on/off 78. As for the hotel and room itself, the staff is extremely friendly and eager to help. With the Sands casino being located just 3 miles away, the staff has no problem bringing you to and from the Sand casino in their shuttle (service available until 10pm). Although I believe the shuttle could have ran longer, but it was still a great service to have since the cab was a little expensive to/from Sands.The rooms are very new and clean. They are spacious and climate controlled with digital thermostats instead of old-school dials. There are a variety of pillows available which adds comfort, but the beds could be improved. Overall, my experience was great and this is a fantastic place to stay in the area for the price. Definitely will be staying here again when I travel to the area. Remember, book early! read more

Wonderful staff, horrible location, terrible construction. First off, the hotel is built right next to I-78's eastbound on off ramp, and you can hear, with ease every tractor-trailer that passes by, among with every vehicle without a muffler, and there appear to be many around here. Make sure you get a room that faces the front of the hotel. Second the noise between floors is loud. I must have had a family of elephants staying upstairs from me, and it sounded like they started dancing across the floor starting at 2am, and continuing for the next 4 hours. Ask for a room on the 4th floor, and facing the front of the hotel. Failing that, bring ear plugs. read more

This is a nice hotel. Everything was very clean. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. I did not have much interaction with the staff but I do have something to mention....the hot tub needs treated. For those of you that don't know...all the foam at the top of a hot tub, is not fun bubbles...it's dead skin. There's a ton of foam in this hot tub. We didn't even get in. However the kids loved the pool. It's right next to a Waffle House if that's your thing. read more

This hotel was really wonderful. My friends and I stayed here during Lehigh-Lafayette weekend when we were unable to book a room in the Comfort Suites closer to campus. I was kind of upset about it - until we checked in here. The hotel was pretty much brand new - the guy at check in was so nice and helpful - he gave us two bags filled with bottled water and snacks - he signed me up for the Holiday Inn member club. The room was very clean and much larger than the rooms at the Comfort Suites. The bathroom was very nice. They even have a free shuttle that runs pretty late at night, which we used to get to the bars on 3rd Street. That was really convenient and helpful. They also offered free breakfast. This place was a wonderful place to stay and if I were to travel through Bethlehem again, I would stay there. The girl at the front desk was very helpful and switched my room when I asked for it to be, helped me with directions and was just very friendly. My room was big, clean, and very nicely sized. The only fault I could find...I went to use the fridge and it still had a pizza smell in it from a previous guest. But that can easily be fixed with some baking soda. The free breakfast was ok and the wi-fi worked well. As I said at the beginning of the review, I would stay there again. read more

Stayed here for the first time to see a show at The Sands. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a shuttle to and from the casino which came in handy. The driver was pleasant and timely. The room was clean and matched the pictures on-line. I only have one complaint: the caulking in and around the tub area needed to be redone....it was gross looking. This was one of my worst stays in years. We stayed there from 7/4/19-7/7/19. We never had our room cleaned during our stay. The cleaning staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. I was on the 4th floor and we had ants in our room. I went downstairs to the front desk and they could careless. They offered to spray the room at 11:00pm as we were going to sleep that was all. We said no considering it was late and who really wants to sleep in a room full of pesticides. I went downstairs and they could not move us and did not offer a refund for that nights stay either. Promised to tell regional manager and I am still waiting for just a manger to respond. Never ever again! read more

Booked a reservation here to visit family and due to the snow storm we were unable to make it to Bethlehem. I cancelled the reservation BEFORE the required time so that we would not be penalized. I looked at my credit card statement only to find that I was charged. I contacted them immediately and they say it was a no show. They continued to argue that it was a no show and that it was booked under my husband's name. I looked on his account (since Holiday Inn won't allow you to have one account, we have 2 separate accounts in case only one of us is traveling)...no reservation shows up so I don't know what they are talking about. Just beware when you book a reservation that might need to be cancelled. The General Manager WILL NOT HELP you in any way! read more

I'd recommend staying somewhere else. First things first, the walls are paper thin and if you aren't on the top floor, you are hearing each and every footstep, each and every time. Also, its right on the highway, so you get that highway noise as well. Breakfast was pretty good, but pickings were limited. Poorly run overall, had some kids making a ton of noise in the hallways, and loitering late at night. Don't mind being the one to tell them to stfu, but it's annoying when I'm the one who has to do it, more than once. read more

We were so happy with our entire stay -- from the greeting at the desk after our long drive, to the cleanliness of our room and bathroom, to the comfortable beds and amazing pillows, to the great free breakfast. The hotel seems like it was recently renovated, everything seemed new. At breakfast, my kids, husband, and I particularly loved the cool pancake machine, the yogurt and oatmeal and cereal selection, and the bagels and pastries. It is really convenient to the highway, so it is an easy place to stop for the night if you are tired of driving like we were. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure they have rooms available, as we got the last room in the hotel. read more

No frills but good price for a Saturday night. Breakfast is included. Shuttle to casino ended at 11. Would have been nice to offer it more hours. Parking was difficult late at night. We stayed there over the holidays and the staff couldn't be more helpful. They shuttled us to Christkindlmarkt which is downtown bethelhem. It was so nice not having to find parking. Our family enjoyed the heated indoor pool as well. The breakfast was good too. They have a lot to offer. Their cinnimon rolls are awesome!!! We will definitely be back for more since we realize there is a lot to do in the Bethlehem area. read more
