I stayed here with friends while visiting the area. It's located in a great location surrounded by stores, restaurants, and even a bank. There's a nice continental breakfast spread. The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, it served the purpose for an overnight stay! read more

I'm reaching here) CONS * Regular rates are relatively expensive for what you get * Mostly double queen bed rooms with limited, higher-priced options for king * Bedding too soft and was uncomfortable * Loud A/C with poor air quality that made our noses dry/burning (was it mold?!?) * Leaky shower enclosure left floors soaked with water after showering * Sliding door was ill-fitted with holes/edges that allowed anyone to see into bathroom even with closed * Thin walls and bottom gap on door made it noisy and could hear everything all around us * Unfriendly and unwelcoming front desk staff that we tried to avoid at all costs ... maybe just 1 rude person, but it was at checkin when we tried to ask about a king bed (instead of 2 beds) even as Bonvoy member or as a paid upgrade ... just terrible as she also said they weren't very full for the night Good thing we only stayed 1 night ... so glad we didn't have to be here longer. read more

Friday evening, I found myself needing to book a hotel room at the last minute. This property was close to where I needed to be, so I reserved a room using the app and headed to the Fairfield. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a cheerful and friendly staff member. She got me all checked in, took note of my member profile preferences, accommodated them, explained the property features, and shared useful information about the local area/restaurants. When I saw the room was located next to a hotel entrance, I went back to the front desk and asked if she could assign a different room. She hooked me up and I was off. The room was spacious, modern, and quiet. Some of the surfaces were a bit dusty, and there was some dried spilled residue on the desk, but at this point in my journey, practically anything was acceptable. There was a nice patio with a fire pit attached to the front of the hotel. Despite the high occupancy, there was plenty of parking and it was quiet. The hotel sits off the main road and is close to shopping and restaurants. Many of the eateries are within walking distance. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast in the morning. While COVID precautions might still be a driver in the breakfast items offered by the hotel, this property does a much better job with its breakfast offerings than I have seen at other Marriott hotels. The gentleman maintaining the breakfast bar was friendly and constantly checking with the guests to make sure they had everything they needed. Despite being a last-minute booking, this property came through for me. Kudos to the two staff members I mentioned. Their customer focus was on point and a benchmark for others to emulate. This place received five stars before I even check out on Saturday, simply bc of the front desk agent who honored my titanium elite benefits and upgraded my room without giving me any issue (I didn't get her name, I'm sorry... white female with blonde hair I believe a little past her shoulders, she checked me in on Tuesday evening 2/29) and Chris!! I don't even know where to begin. We made the unfortunate decision of contracting this hotel for our wedding. From the moment we went to signed our contract was a bad experience. The manager in charge gave us nothing but attitude from the moment I asked a few simple questions about the wording of the contract. To the day of our wedding when we had family members that checked in early getting scolded for walking down the hallway with food and music to knock on other family members rooms. The night of our wedding we showed up in force and we're met with a "it's ok until someone complains". Not a single person complained but we had the cops called on us within 30 mins for no reason. The worst part of it all was that we reached out to corporate, the promised an investigation and that the would contact us within a week or two. Well it's been over a month now and we haven't heard a thing. I will never give my business to this place again and advise everyone to go elsewhere Brian Cottman is the name of the manager we dealt with and is the least qualified person to hold the title "manager" read more

This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had, it's a shame that I have to even give it one star. The level of frighteningly unprofessional conduct from the staff specifically from the hotel's manager Brian J. Cottman was deplorable. My family came to Pottstown this week not for a happy occasion but for my Brother's cancer surgery. When we checked in two days ago my mother asked the front desk about the size of our room that was advertised as a suite but was really a small room with a bed and love seat. They had nothing bigger available and the manager told us of the Hilton up the road. We made the poor decision of deciding to stay not leave then because of its proximity to the hospital. That evening I was unable to sleep because the mattress in the convertible love seat sofa was so uncomfortable. The following evening(last night) when we returned after spending the day at the hospital with my brother I asked the front desk staff if there was anyway to switch out the mattress because it was so uncomfortable that I didn't get any sleep the night before. Initially they said they needed to talk to their housekeeping person. After a bit they informed me that they could not swap out the mattress but offered another room which I declined because I didn't want to hassle my mother who is 80 years old to move all her stuff when they could just switch the mattress from that available room, a process I've seen done at plenty of other hotels. The young woman at the front desk was rude to my mother shouting at her "I'm not getting fired over this". The situation escalated and I had them call a manager named Julie who told me there were no available rooms at all which was contradictory to what her staff just told me and she then told them to tell us to take it up with the manager in the morning. I finally resolved that I would make my complaint to their corporate office the next day. So, after leaving my mother in the room and going to get some food, I came back and the manager Brian J. Cottman was in the lobby on the desk phone with my mother who was up in the room belligerently telling her that he would have us evicted from the property tomorrow because his staff felt unsafe with us there because we were harassing them, then he lessened the threat to say that we could stay but would be "evicted" if there were any more complaints about the service from us!?!? Standing there witnessing this sloppily dressed, unprofessional oaf threaten my mother over the phone because we were complaining about poor service, I very calmly and professionally told him that he didn't have to address her or myself in that tone. I told him I would contact corporate to which he then gave me his card, got loud with me and in my face threatening that if I "said one more thing" to him we would be put us out of the hotel. I deeply regret not recording this with my phone but that likely would have just escalated the situation further to my disadvantage. I proceeded to the elevator, went upstairs and informed her we would be finding a new hotel tomorrow. We went back down stairs to let them know that we would be checking out tomorrow and filing a complaint and there were two police officers waiting in the lobby with Brian no where in sight. The front desk associate told my 80 year old mother that the reason they called Brian J. Cotton (who apparently left his home to come to the property just to make that threatening call to my mother) and felt unsafe was because of how my 80 year old mother talked to her early 20s aged colleague who was the first person to escalate this situation shouting "I'm not gonna lose my job over this!" We've filed our complaint with corporate and will be going to the Hilton for the remainder of our time here in Pottstown. Posting this review here I see that others have had similar experiences, it's kind of ridiculous to see Brian J. Cotton has had similar unprofessional interactions with other paying customers of Fairfield Inn & Suites in the last 6 months but somehow still holds a job let alone the title of manager. read more

The entrance is very clean. Peggy was very sweet when I called to inform of our late arrival. I was very disappointed in the cleaning of our room. It was non-existent until my husband asked the front desk. Even then, the front desk gave him clean towels stating it would be cleaned the next day. It was not, he had to ask again. The front desk claimed I opted out of cleaning, I did not. I believe she opted me out when she changed my room upon check in. I am handicap and need a room near an elevator . Our room was next to a non working freight elevator furthest from the people elevator. I picked a hotel with a pool so I can follow my aquatic PT routine while on vacation. The pool had not been maintained in years. read more
