The best thing about my one night stay at this hotel was the excellent customer service and friendliness of the team at the front desk! Kudos to them! The room was typical & clean. A mini refrigerator, microwave, and keurig is included. The bathroom had "Dove" brand toiletries which was very convenient. I noticed a "business" area with computers and a printer, a snack shop with outrageously priced snacks, and an ice maker and soda machine on each floor. Parking is ample. We rested well and checked out easily. Free breakfast and free wifiI is available. I had a good experience here. No complaints, although the hotel is a bit dated and I would have appreciated a channel guide for the television. read more

Stayed here last year (Aug 2024) and was satisfied with the hotel. So this July 2025 we stayed here again for three nights, two rooms. Same type nice rooms with a nice view on 4th floor. Rooms were clean, fresh and bug free (and I thoroughly check before bringing the suitcases up). Staff were each polite. Free continental breakfast was pretty good too. Easy off and on main road (192) to Kissimmee and Disney park areas. Security at main entrance. The only thing negative was the few handicap parking spots. Should be more. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel. read more

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would!! I called to see if I can receive refund because I forgot to cancel a room and they told me to get lost. The manager Angie is extremely rude and lied to cooperate about reaching out to me. A billion dollar company couldn't refund my $989 dollars! What a pathetic staff, offering 1 free stay! I have stayed here MANY times before and after the renovation, since it is a great location to visit friends and family from Tampa to Cocoa. My current stay exceeded my expectations. Their adjustments made for the current pandemic were exemplary. Many Florida hotels have simply canceled any type of breakfast or snacks AND/OR have few rules in place to keep their guests safe. This morning, I felt safe and content with the food available. I also appreciated their extra steps to keep their guests safe. I agree the walls are thin, but that is a microscopic flaw considering other hotels in the area that compare in consistency and affordability. Another bonus is that there is a Walgreens that is open till midnight about 2 blocks away!!! Enjoy your stay here!!!! read more

Came in for one night had to meet a friend... hotel is not bad, staff was friendly when we checked in last night. But the room is kind of small an the bed are small but not a turn away. Didn't make it to breakfast due to trying to sleep in but the lawn service was cutting the grass at 7:45am. There is a strong smell of air freshener or carpet freshener in the hallways but agin not a turn away. Although it's a older hotel I would come back for a quick stay... no sure I could do a week trip though. Overall not a bad experience. read more

Checked in for 1 day, and wife called Reservations and said we may stay till Sunday, and asked if the rate would be the same 137 plus tax if we decided to stay. He said yes it would. We visited our son as his wife had the covid, We decided to check out Saturday as we had no symtoms and didnt want any contact. Also my wife had a family member die in a crash and needed to get back for the funeral The woman at the front desk said we could not check out early as we needed a 24 hour cancellation notice. We were never informed a notice was required We were forced to stay as we dont throw money away. So we may miss a funeral in Minneapolis due to all this. I, my daughter and her stepmom booked a room here for Mothers Day weekend and were dismayed at the overwhelming chemical smell that wafted through the hotel the minute we walked in the door. Still, we paid for the room and went up to the third floor where the stench continued through the whole hallway and into the room. We ran the AC for a few minutes hoping it would clear our, but my daughter started having a physical reaction and was getting sick. We returned to the front desk within 5 minutes and had a very polite conversation with the front desk clerk who apologized, said we were not the first customers to complain, and that he understood why we could not stay the night. He said the manager would refund the room the next day. We booked a hotel across town and confirmed with Hotels.com, our booking agent, that the refund was coming. However once Hotels.com got the manager on the phone, they refused to credit us back as we had booked a non/refundable rate. So word to the wise, do not pay in advance for this run-down and poorly cleaned hotel, and do not expect any consideration if the property's cleaning policies makes you or a family member sick. read more

Pleasantly surprised from the second I walked into the room! I was treated with lovely towel origami swans ... gently placed on a kingsize bed. The staff was very friendly and attentive, excellent service all around. The room was immaculate, very nice work out area and the morning coffee and breakfast was perfect. Meh. Ok for a quick in and out night stay. No frills hotel with a lot of inconsistencies and somewhat apathetic staff. Pool says it's open until 10 pm on the placard by the entrance gate and on the check-in sheet but there are strips of paper taped to the gate stating it closes at 8. Hmmmmm? First hotel I've EVER been to that closes the pool at 8. It was also supposed to be heated but clearly was not. The bigger issue was lack of care from the staff. We checked in extremely late and were ready to simply plop into a good nights sleep, however there was no bedding for the pull out sofa. I called to the front desk and the attendant said he had some bedding I could come get at the counter. Uhmmmm no. I'm tired and my room is not supplied as it should be....they ended up walking it up. I also noticed after our room had been cleaned the next day, they did not leave enough towels for our room. Again when I called the attendant there was lack of care. She said the housekeeping staff was gone and wasn't sure about the towels. I'm not a pushover so I said "I'm sure there are clean towels and wash cloths somewhere here." I was on hold forever and finally the attendant said they did have some towels I could come get from the desk. Again....not working for me. Someone needs to bring those up. Not the worst hotel experience we've had but definitely near the bottom. On the plus side, their free breakfast is very good with lots of choices and the food staff was kind. read more

Nice staff, nice room. Large Mini-fridge, small microwave, Keureg in the room and coffee available in the lobby all evening long. Staff created breakfast bags for the team since we left before breakfast opened. Walls are thin but there weren't any loud guests running up and down the hallway and the hotel was sold out. Convenient location to get to the NTC facility. Would def stay here again. read more

We were in town for a sporting event for 3 nights. The location was perfect for the event. When we checked in it was a smooth process and Mary Beth was able to provide local recommendations for dining out. When entering the room the temperature was slightly elevated and the smell was a little "stale". When asking about a new room we were told to just turn down the air and it would go away. I bought Febreeze spray to spray throughout the room. After the 2nd full day the room was no longer "stale" smelling. Recommendations would be to keep the vents cleaned or fresheners in the room to help with a welcoming odor. Probably would go to a Marriott or Hampton Inn next time. read more

Thankfully I did not keep my expensive equipment in the room. When I returned from a long day looking forward to a good night's sleep they had given my room to someone else and threw away all of my personal items. They denied I had ever been in that room and didn't even give me a chance to see if housekeeping still had any of my things. They gave me another room to sleep in since it was midnight, and I had no place else to go. I told them I'd be checking out the next day and not to charge me for the last night I had booked. They did charge me for that night and are denying my entire account. Obviously escalating this and hoping to warn anyone from staying here. read more

Stayed here in a business trip Tuesday through Thursday night. The evening check in clerk made a positive impression on me by remembering my me and recommending some restaurants in the area. The rooms are recently renovated and overall have a new feel. I did not have any problems with bug bites like some other reviewers have noted. My concerns and reason for dropping some stars are the following. The breakfast isnt that great. For location in the orange capital of Florida, I would expect the oranges served at breakfast to be ripe and the most beautiful oranges I've seen. This wasn't the case, all of the oranges were rotten or unripe. Disappointing. If you're allergic to wheat or dairy most of your other options are eliminated too. The other problem I had was the maid would leave the drain to the bathtub closed after cleaning. Um hello, it was open when you got there. The maid also took my hand soap each day she replaced it with new, but I don't need a new bar of hand soap each day. Bottom line if business brought me back to Clermont I would probably try someplace else. read more

Awful owners. We booked a 4 day stay at 10am had to cancel same day 12 hours later REFUSED to return our money.

UNSAFE FACILITY. No cameras inside or outside. The property is a criminal magnet because the criminals know there are no cameras and they can get away with anything anywhere on the property. After the first police car came by to take my property damage report (my brand new, 3-day old truck was vandalized in the hotel parking lot), a second police car came by to take care of the larceny report of another customer. Nice way to spend breakfast (pork in omelets was raw, I threw it out). I talked with the guy who got pick pocketed. He said he got bumped at the main front entrance and that was probably when the criminal took his wallet. At the front entrance. No cameras, the criminals have nothing to fear. Management isn't investing any money in the property - feeling old and dated... and NO CAMERAS anywhere on the property. Management offered me another day at the hotel for free, but the larceny victim told me that he felt the guy who lifted his wallet was staying in the hotel and working the tourists coming in and out. I absolutely refused to stay another night. No cameras, even at the front entrance. Clermont is changing from a small town into something larger and this hotel is not prepared for the unsavory types attracted by the increased tourist flow. read more

We were in town for a wedding recently and stayed here for 2 nights. When we asked our friends that live in the area to recommend a hotel they told us this hotel was closest to where the wedding was being held. My husband booked our room before I had a chance to read the reviews but other out of town guests were staying here as well so how bad could it be ?? First impression of the hotel was that it looks like they did a renovation recently. Everything looked brand new & very clean. Thankfully we didn't have any of the issues that other reviewers had. Meaning, our room was clean & comfortable. No weird smells, no bathroom leaks, none of that. One thing that I did find to be annoying which I've also experienced at other HIE locations is that the walls are too thin and you can hear your neighbors conversation word for word. Thankfully the AC unit drowned out most of our neighbors morning chit chat. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast each morning. Was nothing great but it's free so what do you expect? Muffins, bagels (probably lenders), pancakes, eggs, turkey sausage, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, hot coffee & juice. Typical run of the mill choices. There was plenty of seating in the dining room area if you chose to eat there instead of your room. Vending machines on each floor. Ice machine on the second floor. Snacks for sale next to the front desk area if you get the late night munchies. Front desk staff & other hotel staff were very friendly. All of the negative reviews had me on edge about staying here but all in all we had a really good stay at this HIE location. read more

Wish I would have read the Yelp reviews before I booked for my business trip. Switched rooms once due to bathroom not working then had very very intermittent wifi service, no water pressure and leaking shower faucet in the second room. It was a good thing I came back to the room before dinner otherwise the bathtub could have overflowed after housekeeping did not turn the water off completely but did close the drain. I checked out a day early at the obvious dismay of management. Had to escalate twice to have my refundable room (which I paid extra for) cancelled within their cancelation policy timeline. Was told that the onsite management team would call to follow up.....still waiting on that call. read more

I checked in and they said I had a smoking room! I did not book a smoking room! I did check out the room and was overwhelmed when I got off the elevator for the 3rd floor! I stayed here this past weekend and I had no complaints. I stayed in the king size room with jacuzzi and I was very impressed. I didn't have any weird smells, anything broken or out of place. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. My room was clean with a comfy bed and decent size tv. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a hotel. We were quoted and given a government rate as a retired military veteran of 20 years of service, but by answering no to a question of "are you here for government business?" We lost that rate and Kristy at the front desk completely disrespected my family as she tried to explain why we don't get that rate. We asked what did we have to show to prove government business, and the answer..... nothing. We simply had to answer yes to her question and we would have saved over $100!! After arguing for nearly 10 minutes of how ridiculous this policy is, her customer service skills never kicked in, no apology, she did not try to keep our business until we demanded to speak with a manager, which she still proceeded with "she will be here tomorrow and you can deal with it then." After telling her we were leaving and not keeping our reservation she then decided to call a manager and honored the discounted rate. Still no apology and no people skills. We will never stay at this hotel again. They clearly do not care about their customers. read more

Room smelled bad. Had to leave window open. No water pressure in sink and shower head leaked badly. 3rd floor room. Had to go to first floor to find an Ice machine and soda machine that worked. Long time rewards club member of HIE, but would not recommend staying here. We are checking out tomorrow to find another hotel for a multi-night stay in this area. Very disappointing. read more

The hotel has a great location. However, they are going through renovations currently. There are no vending machines. The hotel is torn up. The breakfast is mediocre. The check in staff is really nice. The amazing thing is that despite the inconvenience put onto the customers i.e., the guests, the fees are the same. In my profession if the customer is disturbed or you provide a shoddy product, you discount or offer other amenities. The construction crew gape and stare at female guests and overall look creepy. The crew finds it okay to start construction work at 800 am, we many guests prefer to slumber away. I expect better from HIE. read more
