The kids couldnt get enough of the pool, gameroom and ball pit. The movie theatre is comfy. They also have zip lining, trampoline and fishing. Now one thing I must say..if u are a city girl like my self there is some wildlife that may scare the crap out of you and this place is in the middle of no where. We also like to walk around the area and try out the food spots. They have an outdoor market on Sunday. We stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast. We ended up being the only guests staying there. We had the entire house to ourselves. The room was antique but well maintained. The bathroom was updated and the water was warm with great pressure. The bed was comfortable. We did watch a movie on the small television; and there was an issue with the television, but the host fixed it. The host over the Inn were pleasant and welcoming. They live on-site. They suggested a couple of places in town. The bed and breakfast is located within walking distance of a lot of sights and restaurants. The breakfast was cooked to order as we were the only guests that day. It was delicious, served on-site, and the perfect amount of food. After flipping through photos from over a decade earlier, I realized this was the same location we stayed at over a decade ago. At that time, it had a different owner, and we used a Groupon to cover the costs. We would definitely stay again! It was a great price for the value, cleanliness, and hospitality. Thanks!

It is walking distance to downtown, to the marina and just about anywhere you want to visit while being in Mt. Dora! The hosts Evan and Christy were wonderful! They made sure you had everything you needed and always seemed to be checking to ensure you were happy and your stay was going well. Evan gave great advice of places to eat and Christy made sure you started your day off with an exceptional breakfast! They are a great team together and are great Innkeepers! We loved our room and the entire house. This is a great place to stay for your trip to Mt. Dora.

Went to the Wave Hotel bar for some drinks with friends after work…read more I got a Cosmopolitan and it was about $22. The drinks are pricey here but they are not bad at all. All of my friends liked all of their drinks, which we had multiple and shared! Parking was super easy and free. No need to worry about a gate or anything like that. Service was fine! We hung out in the sculpture garden as the bar area was a little loud for the conversations we were having.

There are always tons of families and kids coming through, and it shows. I personally don't care how nice the lobby looks because you're paying to be in the room. This hotel ended up being a good alternative. It's about 30 minutes from most of the theme parks and the convention center, but I didn't mind the drive. The area is much quieter, and the views are actually really nice. There's a lake, lots of greenery, and even cows nearby, which was a nice change from the typical Orlando tourist scene. Pros * Beautiful property with nice views and a much more relaxing atmosphere than the theme park area. * Modern, clean, and well-maintained. * Several great restaurants on-site, including Michelin-recognized options. * Easy check-in process. * The room was clean and updated. I didn't have any cleanliness issues during my stay, which is more than I can say for a lot of hotels these days. * Free parking. * Comfortable bed. * The AC worked really well. The room stayed cold the entire time, which was a huge plus in Florida. * Electronic blackout blinds and window film do a great job blocking out sunlight. * In-room iPad makes it easy to communicate with guest services. * Although I'm usually not a fan of carpet in hotel rooms, this carpet appeared clean and was in good condition. Cons * The airport is nearby, so planes fly overhead pretty frequently. It didn't bother me much because I sleep with earplugs, but if you're sensitive to noise or are a light sleeper, it's definitely something to consider. You'll notice the planes throughout the day and into the evening. * The location is a little removed from everything. That's part of what makes it peaceful, but it also means you'll be driving if you want to go anywhere. * The pillows could have been firmer. * One of the charging stations in the room didn't work, and my phone didn't charge overnight. Thankfully, I had a backup charger. * The motion-sensor lights sounded great in theory but were annoying at night. Every time I got up to use the restroom, lights would turn on automatically. As a light sleeper, I found it difficult to fall back asleep afterward. * My biggest complaint was the electronic toilet. At first, I thought it was a cool feature, but throughout the night it would randomly run cleaning and reset cycles that made noise. If you're a heavy sleeper, you probably won't care. If you're a light sleeper, it can get annoying pretty quickly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would choose this hotel again over most of the hotels near the theme parks. It's clean, modern, quieter than staying in the tourist areas, and the property itself is beautiful. Just be aware of the airport noise and some of the overly complicated technology in the rooms.

A little disappointed you needed a lighter for the bbqers so we had to buy one because the desk didn't have any. Also a little disappointing that the pool closes at dusk. Even though you can go next door and use theirs till 10 or 11, not great when you are on the other side of the resort. Besides that, everything was great, would stay again

From higher end bedding, to sparkling clean and well maintained everything, to the fresh lobby flowers, it all says high end and was much appreciated. Check in took a few minutes of waiting around noon and we were accommodated to an early check in. There was no availability for a room upgrade but the standard one was beautiful regardless. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and very clean with a separate shower and tub. The toiletries were a nice touch since my husband forgot to bring his toothbrush. The soaps, shampoo, body wash and conditioner all seemed like a higher quality with muted, natural scents. The grounds a very pretty, they shared amenities with the JW next door which created a fun day going from their lazy river then back to the Ritz pool for some R&R. The Ritz pool area has complimentary water, fruit, sunscreen, towels floating mats. The pool server was attentive as well. The lobby bar is large with friendly wait staff. I had probably the best charcuterie board I've ever had, featuring really decent gluten free toast in lieu of regular crackers, fresh honey comb, and high quality meats and cheeses. Fruit and electrolyte water was waiting in my room after a long day at the pool, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet was inside Highball&Harvest, which was packed full of options, including gf muffins, toast, and waffles which were made in their kitchen area away from the buffet. There are a lot of amenities that I walked by but didn't utilize, like mountain bikes for their wood path, canoes, pool tables, ping pong, foosball, giant chess, soccer goals and a bunch of kids activities. I had been to the Ritz several times either to visit the spa and spa restaurant or to enjoy the pool using resort pass so I was familiar with the Ritz. I was expecting a small, quiet event but to my surprise many other people had the same idea that I had and decided to come to the Spa After Dark Fourth of July Event too! There were quite a few people attending the event but it didn't feel over crowded. There was great music playing setting the vibe. Plenty of seating but the seats did fill up as more and more people arrived. There was a bar servicing cocktails and mocktails. The evening included mini chair massages and pressotherapy but unfortunately I didn't get to partake in these services because they were being adjacent to the pool area and I really didn't want to leave the pool area and because there was a long wait. I really wish I could have been able to enjoy these services. There was food or light bites but since it was the Fourth of July I was expecting a little more. I would have loved to have maybe some mini burger sliders, bbq meatballs, or bbq chicken wings. These items would have been great for the Fourth of July. Instead we had about 4 to 5 types of hors d'oeuvres that were all you can eat. The hors d'oeuvres included cheese, hummus/pitas/vegetables, red and blue chips with salsa, fruit cup with yogurt, and 1 mocktail. The food was ok, with the best item being the hummus. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept the food coming. It started to drizzle (just temporarily) so one of the staff members came over and opened the umbrella to shield me from the rain. So thoughtful! The best part of the night was the fireworks! The fireworks were absolutely phenomenal!! The fireworks were so close! The finale was so memorable and the best fireworks that I have seen!

The suite was incredibly spacious and had two very large bedrooms and a balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with a very large fridge. The view overlooking the lake from the hotel is so nice and peaceful especially in the evening. I also took advantage of the amenities and kayaked on the lake, which was fun. Honestly, I would have given this place a 5/5 if it weren't for the giant cockroach I accidentally stepped on in the kitchen on my last night. It was late at night and I ended up having to smother it with dish soap because it was huge. I also found a dead centipede curled up. I think the issue is that the door cracks aren't fully sealed (there was a gap at the bottom of the front door), so it makes it very easy for critter to come in even if they keep the suite clean. Otherwise, I thought the place was very nice.

It's walking distance to everything and they give free breakfast vouchers for Cody's just about 1 block away. Breakfast was also awesome! They have complimentary water, tea, coffee, fruit, and other small snacks in the main area. We stayed in the Mr Charlie's room on the first floor and really enjoyed the set up. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in mount Dora and would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Also, we were celebrating an anniversary and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was a very nice treat! Highly recommend this historic Inn to anyone and will be back in the future!
