The stay itself was 4*; however, we were charged $16.56 for a "parking facility fee". We did not have a car thus we did not park at the property. 1st call 3/17 AM: front desk clerk stated she would pass along my request for a refund to the GM when he returned "tomorrow" and someone would call back. 2nd call 3/20 AM: same front desk clerk stated she told GM but he wasn't in now and she would tell him again when he was in next. She then stated the "parking facility fee" is really a "resort fee" and everyone has to pay it. i asked for the GM to call me back. 3rd call 3/24 PM: front desk manager states no record in my file of my having called. This time stated the "parking facility fee" is really parking SLASH facility fee. I disputed this as there is no "slash" in the wording on my folio nor on the sign which is ONLY outside in the parking lot and NOT inside the hotel anywhere. She said GM is not in and would be in "tomorrow". I once again asked for GM to return my call. For now, holding at 1* until this is resolved. In the meantime, will dispute this portion of our charge on our credit card. read more

Hilton hotels are typically safe bets. Clermont's Home2 Suites is a sure thing. Quiet, cozy and clean with spacious rooms, gym, sunny outdoor pool patio and big continental breakfast spread. Extra large lobby with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for large groups to congregate. It's only four floors, so capacity is much lower than other Hiltons. My room featured a king sized bed and kitchenette with small living room space. Needed a slightly bigger bathroom but we made do. I noticed security cameras throughout the hotel, and in the hallway by our room door. It felt safe. Ample parking with spaces close to the front door. Quick walk to the Applebee's and Zaxby's next door. Convenient location for coffee runs, food and shopping. In the middle of nowhere but I'd stay again! read more

Ongoing theme regarding customer service and the management. The GM only know as Jeff is simply horrible. I am going to remain professional on this post, but I will illustrate one comment by Jeff. Due to the hurricane pending, we had to leave the area. When I went to check out the manager only known as Alex advised we would be getting a refund for the remaining four nights; however, I would have to follow up with Jeff the GM. Jeff was impossible to reach. The staff would not even give me his email address or last name. After four days he finally answered his phone. Jeff was unprofessional, discourteous, argumentative, and used foul language. I explained to him I was in law enforcement and had to leave, due to the pending hurricane. Jeff stated, " The hurricane did not hit till Wed, so we will not be giving you a refund." After explaining my situation he stated, " I don't give a fuck if you were the FBI." He continued to talk over me till the point I had to just hang up. I have stayed at this hotel many times, but after this experience especially during a potential CAT 5 hurricane I WILL NEVER patronage this business. In closing, I was price gauged for nights I did not use. I don't understand how the corporate office of Hilton keeps this man employed.... He should be FIRED!!!!! read more

What a horrible customer service nightmare The front desk clerk a middle aged Indian appearing middle aged woman was cold and soulless as I asked for her help with a problem Simply a WiFi code ( I had a reservation ) but wasn't checked in yet , so they said technically I wasn't a customer of theirs yet. They refused to give a WiFi code to call travel agency as the reception in their lobby and parking lot was bad and dropped my calls 5 times They would not help after asking 5 times ( WiFi calling would have resolved this in no time Finally have given up and find out that their NO customer service and lack of empathy is common place . It took 4 hours to check out of this hotel because the front desk staff refused to check us out until the manager (Jeff) arrived. He did not (supposedly) respond to their calls, texts, emails. Myself and 3 coworkers were 4 hours late getting to hurricane Milton recovery site. They did not care. Jeff never showed up. The Sales Director, Alina Lane, checked us out when we wandered into her office. The front desk night clerk and day clerk (Lin) refused to check us out because they said that we were billed for entire booking and were checking out early. They said only Jeff could refund us. this was a total fabrication because I went on my credit card and the amount was not billed. Hilton corporate was willing to assist Lin in the checkout proces, and she refused to do it. after the Sales Director checked us out and we were finally pulling out of the parking lot, we saw Jeff coming in at 11:08 AM. This was appalling treatment and totally unnecessary and unacceptable. Hilton should disassociate with this franchise. read more

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago for one night. The check in process with all Hilton hotels is super easy to do online and I was even able to select a room. They offer a keyless entry with just a tap of a button from the app. Super convenient. When we arrived, I already had the key on my phone ready to use. We parked and were able to walk right in and we took the elevator to our room. The room itself was large! There was a small kitchenette and a decent size refrigerator. There was a sitting area with a sofa and an ottoman and even a curtain to separate the sitting area from the bed. The bathroom was decent sized too, but I was having a hard time understanding why the bathroom was set up the way it was. It was strange to me that the door to the bathroom opened up and hit the door to the shower. It was impossible to open the shower door (sliding door) without having to completely close the bathroom door. It was just a strange set up in my opinion. The bed was comfy, but those pillows were just meh. I hate soft squishy pillows so it was really difficult to sleep. The pillows would just go so flat so there wasn't much support for my head. We did not use any of the amenities so I can't comment on any of that. Also, we did not really see any hotel workers when we arrived or when we left the next morning since we used the app to check in and check out. Super easy and convenient! read more

Bad staff attitude. We booked two rooms for 4 adults and one pet. After booking online we immediately call the hotel directly on 7/13/2022 at approximately 10 pm to confirm the reservation and to request that one room be at the end of the hall if possible because of our small dog. Upon arriving at 4:30 pm on 7/16/2022 we let the reception know that we have a request on file because we have a pet and asked if they are able to meet our request. The receptionist stated that she can only place us next to the last room at the end of the hall which was ok. We finished checking in and dropped of our dog while we went out to get dinner. When we returned to the hotel at around 7 pm we were told that we should have informed them that we have a pet and that our dog was barking. We were threatened with a call to animal control to have our dog removed. First of all we informed the hotel that we will be staying with our pet prior to arriving. We informed the receptionist of that fact and asked her to refer to our request on file. With all of these facts we still understand that mistakes can and do happen but for the receptionist to talk down to us like we're delinquent children and the threats to have our dog be removed by animal control was totally unacceptable. We've stayed at Home2 Suites many times when visiting Florida before. However, because of the bad attitude and tone of the way the receptionist talk down to us, we will never be staying with Home2 Suites in the future. I was charged for a hotel room after I canceled it. I canceled it four days before my stay and I don't even live in the state of Florida but they charge me full price for a hotel room and they are insisting that somebody walked into the hotel with my license and my credit card and paid for the room and checked out even though I live in a whole Nother state and I never made a trip to that hotel ever in my life They are not refusing to give me a refund and I am getting married in two weeks and they took $350 from me. I do not even live in the state of Florida but they are saying I walked into the lobby and used my credit card in my license, but they are refusing to tell me who the person was that check to me or my fiancé who was also on the reservation. They cannot confirm who that was. They are rude and they steal money and they refuse to give you a refund even though you were never there, they are saying they don't have any security cameras or any way to check to see if that was legit. I guess that's a good thing because I've heard that those rooms are full of cockroaches anyway. But they are refusing to give me my money back. read more

I. Loved. This. Place. I'm somewhat a local, and my house had a pipe burst. I ad to find a place or stay quick that wouldn't break the bank. I found this place and it seemed clean and affordable. I I check in, and I'm super teary because I am stressed about my house being flooded. The check in girl, asked me if I was okay. I told her what had happened and she came around and hugged me and reassured me it would all be fine. She went above and beyond. She walked me through the breakfast process and was just super sweet. And kept telling me if I needed anything to just call down. read more

Horrible experience. When I approached the front desk the staff was openly using foul language (I had two 10 year olds with me). I asked for conditioner and shampoo as the bottles in the shower were empty, they said they'd take care of this. They never did. Next I was with a large group and we asked to watch the television in the lobby for the college World Series and the staff told us "it's hotel policy not to turn on the television". I asked if there was a reason and received a rude response of "nope". I've stayed at many Hilton hotels for years as we travel often. A lot of nice touches from wall installed shampoo and shower gel dispensers to cover on room door spy glass. Plus laundry is in gym, allowing you to multitask. I am a loyal Hilton Diamond Member and this hotel is the worst. Checked in on a Friday. On Sunday asked for housekeeping services for Monday and was told they were very busy Monday. Was asked if I could wait till Tuesday. Got back to my room Tuesday night and housekeeping never showed up. Asked the front desk agent, Jay, for help and she laughed at me. LAUGHED! I did not raise my voice or use any vulgar language. When I asked to speak with the manager, Masiye Barrington, she called him and he refused to speak with me. Jay laughed more. Yeah, they offered to change my room. But after 15-hours working in the hot sun, the last thing I wanted was to pack up all my belongings and change rooms. Terrible staff. Terrible services. I stayed there for 4 days and never got my room cleaned. On the 2nd day I found out you have to request house keeping because they don't do it otherwise. So I went down to the front desk and asked for it. Day 3 came and went, no house keeping. So I called that night and the front desk says, oh we're sorry I'll make sure to put a post it note on my computer so house keeping will definately see it. The next day came and went and still nothing. So I put my trash in the hallway. That's apparently the only way to get it removed because other rooms did the same thing on 3 of the 4 nights I was there. See pic. Got there late and was glad to see someone behind the desk, he got us our key quick and we were able to get some sleep after long drive. Got there about 5:00 am. The rooms are nice and spacious and look new the staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Clermont area they were great about our pet (dog) he made himself at home and was comfortable in the room. If your traveling with your dog I would definitely recommend this hotel. They problem we did have was when I called they gave me a rate and they knew I had my dog with me but they charged me an additional $80.00 for the dog when I first questioned it they told me they didn't know anything about it but I questioned it again at check out and they then explained that it was a pet fee , that was a surprise to me . These hotels love to charge your card for whatever they want. They gave me the rate like I said knowing I had a dog so why charge the additional fee. Most places put it in the rate and do not add a fee to the bill after you check in. UPDATE- I called to complain about the extra fee and the general manager could care less for this reason I will not stay at another Hilton property. I always pay the pet fee when I stay somewhere but the way they did it was wrong again when I called to book the room they quoted the rate knowing I have a pet so why the additional charge when I decided to stay an extra night. NEVER AGAIN - THE MANAGER SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HERSELF WITH THE ATTITUDE SHE TOOK ON THE PHONE WHEN I COMPLAINED. read more

Everything went really well up until check in. From there the experience went downhill. Although we were promised an early check in by a representative of this hotel, this information was not communicated. After this realization, the desk clerk at check in did not try to accommodate us, instead she was on a hunt to determine who it is who agreed with and helped with changes in their reservation saying "who told you that?" and began arguing about it not being her because she works 7-3 everyday and knows the policy. No one said it was her in fact we described the voice of a Hispanic woman who was harder to understand and agreed it was not her. However her arguing and attitude at this point was uncalled for. Extremely upset at the lack of responsibility, effort or care, a couple of our party guests were discussing the issue and the desk clerk stopped in the middle of servicing the customers in front of her to cut in to their conversation and say "she was trying her best" yelling from 10 feet away to a conversation she was not a part of. Not only is this unprofessional but it shows how she can not keep composure under stressful situations. Ultimately the hotel did not care about the situation that their staff is responsible for. At the end of the day they knew what problems they could potentially cause for us did not affect them and instead went out of their way to actually make the situation worse. read more

I wish I could give this hotel 6 stars!!!! If you refer to my previous review on Days Inn this is a continuation if you will. A happy ending to what began as a horror story. My gf and I originally booked a room at the Days Inn off 27 but that place was a nightmare and biohazard so we got the hell out of there ASAP! Unfortunately it was past midnight and we were having trouble finding a room. Luckily we stumbled across Hotel 2 Suite and were fortunate to speak with Matt who was working the desk late night. We told Matt all about our situation and he sympathized with us and advised us to come over and he would set us up with a room. Upon arriving we looked like a hot mess and I think Matt took pity on us because he set us up with an amazing room at a great rate. The rooms here are wonderful! They're huge and clean with a fancy kitchen area. The beds are super comfortable and the AC's are powerful and keep your room cool after a day out in that Florida heat. The pool is great as well. It's salt water and just the right temp. The fitness area is clean and the equipment is well maintained and the lobby/dining area is very modern and clean. Free breakfast is offered every morning and the coffee is delicious! All in all this hotel is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The staff here are all very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a must if you are visiting the Clermont area. read more
