Has a few toilet issues, but after asking the front desk lady (I completely forgot her name) came and secured the seat back down. Rooms were very clean and the food was excellent. I'm not going to recommend the bar, however, because the bartender screwed up every drink she made for everyone I spoke with, including mine. The hotel shouldn't lose points for this necessarily. We stayed 3 nights and will definitely return next year for LonCon. read more

The aesthics of the hotel were nice. The staff was courteous, friendly and always willing to assist. The breakfast attendant lady was friendly and kept the place clean and stocked. The beds were clean and comfy. pillows were a little to flat for my liking, but everyone has their own preference for pillows. Housekeeping does refresh your room daily which is nice. Two sore spots, one was the water from the tap has a terrible taste, I hated that when brushing my teeth. The other one was as for most everyone I spoke with was the breakfast, it is not included, so if you don't negotiate it in when booking it will cost $7.99 per person, kids eat free. Breakfast consists of 2 cereals, sausage(sometimes over cooked and greasy), bacon. Also eggs the taste like the tap water, horrible!!!! Also I don't think they are real eggs!!! Muffins, bagels, among other breads. Biscuits and gravy. No hot water dispenser for tea, lukewarm water in the pitcher. No waffles or pancakes. The hotel has a courtyard in the middle, but does need better attention as birds like the spot also.There are ice makers on every floor. Overall a nice looking hotel with great staff with a horrible breakfast. read more

I was staying close to family, and i had thought i was staying at was this one. fortunately, i was able to switch- It was a great ending for my first day of travel. There are important things I want when I go to a hotel . I want the room to be clean, cold, quiet. This hotel checks all of those boxes. We're coming in town for a family wedding in April, and I just had the most excellent experience with Jonathan from the Holiday Inn north - Address 300 Tuttle Circle, Longview, TX. This young man was an excellent example of going beyond expectations and helping me secure a room in the middle of the craziness following the ice storm that hit Texas and February 2021. His professionalism and knowledge or so impressive! I truly hope IHG knows the value he brings to their organization. If he ever decides to leave the hotel hospitality industry, he can come work for me & Greystar property management any day!!! You can teach oooicies and procedures all day, but really can't train someone to have that kind of naturally positive and helpful attitude - it just comes naturally to some people including Jonathan!! Unfortunately we weren't able to book a room at Jonathan's hotel (because it's fully booked) however he did manage to educate me on the IHG brand, and I have secured a room at another one of your hotels in Longview for the weekend! read more

Great hotel for us, really close to the family we come here to visit a few times a year. The rooms and bathrooms are nice. The service and free breakfast are great. We've stayed when it's been really busy and when it's not and the service is always consistently good. It's quiet, we always get a good nights sleep so this has become are go to hotel when we're in Longview. read more

Pretty clean. My complaint would be dust on headboards, lamps, lamp shades and the alarm clock. You really should not be able to draw in dust. The beds were just ok. We got there at 1215am. We had to wait for the clerk to check us in. 15 minutes later he showed up. The noise level from when cars start outside and from the hallways is loud. But that just seems to be a Holiday Inn issue. read more

My daughters and I have stayed at this location (and will continue to) multiple times a week during a relocation/move. I can not say enough good things about this Holiday Inn. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the rooms are amazingly clean. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient. Jonathan at the front desk is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He and the other members of the staff have been extremely helpful during our stays. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. All you want in a hotel! Location is great. Near places to eat and a mall. Checkout I had a 'first'. They dropped my rate. I paid less! I hadn't requested it. I hadn't mentioned it. I booked online and thought the rate was fair. But when I checked out the lady said that overnight audit found out that since I was a HI club member I should have received a lower rate and so they lowered it. Incredible. We got stranded from a storm and stopped in here to see if they could accommodate us. Wow, Jonathon pulled out the red carpet for us in terms of customer service. He spent 10 minutes finding us a room, calling another hotel just in case there was a better option and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. He told us if we needed extras of anything to let him know. Even offered us an umbrella to run out to the car in the torrential rainstorm. I love the regular Holiday Inn's sheets and mattresses. They are so soft and plushy. The room was clean. The air conditioner was a little janky but we were so grateful to be out of the storm. The breakfast was typical of a hotel breakfast. I wish they had tortillas to make a breakfast burrito, like other Holiday Inns. But the woman that was taking care of the breakfast bar did a great job of keeping it clean and refilling the food. The hotel itself is pretty nice. I liked the courtyard area and the rooms are quite spacious. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this establishment because of the unprofessionalism displayed by the service staff at the bar. There was only one bartender when I visited the bar. She clearly was stressed out because she had no help. This lead to very slow service. Not to mention the drinks were too strong and borderline disgusting. However, the most egregious part of the evening was when the bartender complained to other patrons of a 20% tip that I left after I closed my tab. As I walked by the bar after it had closed I noticed some of the patrons still drinking. At this point one of the patrons asked me why did I leave such bad tip. I was confused since I didn't expect a patron to know any information about my tab. The only way they would know that info would be from the bartender. The bartender then mentions that she was upset because I ordered four complicated drinks and that she had to comp a couple beers to some other patrons because she took so long making the drinks I ordered. This was puzzling since the drinks I ordered were on the menu so I didn't really order difficult drinks. After a long and somewhat productive discussion on why the service industry wages are so low in Texas I felt bad for the bartender and went to the ATM in bar and withdrew $40 to put it in the tip jar. Regardless of the end result in this situation the entire altercation could've been avoided the bartender would've had some help but also if she would've acted with a bit more professionalism. Complaining to other patrons on how much your tip was is not the answer on how to be a better bartender. In the end, I felt humiliated and upset that I had to defend myself on why I left a 20% tip on my tab. I really hope management realizes that this behavior is not okay and offer some training to address these types of complaints. read more

It was a great overall stay, but hands down your biggest gem is Jonathan Bayne at the front desk. He is everything I never knew I needed. I have never had such an excellent encounter with a hotel employee, ever in my life, until I came to Longview for work. His talent far outreaches what he can do behind the desk, and I really hope someone promotes him to really use what he has to offer. An all around nice person and super knowledgeable about all things of life. In the short time I was there, I felt like he was my friend, my therapist, my teacher, and my life coach all rolled into one. It was a pleasure meeting you, if you're reading this! We come to Longview once a year for a softball tournament and the past 3 years we have stayed at this hotel. The cleanliness, quick check in and service is consistently 5 star. This past time the morning staff went above and beyond to make sure our breakfast was great. We will most definitely stay here on our trip next year. read more

My stay at this location was fabulous. I had the Jacuzzi Suite, paid $179.00 tax included. It was large, clean, the bed was HEAVEN as was the tub. Everything you could want was provided, iron, ironing board, mini fridge,, coffee pot (the kind that makes a single cup). It would have been great to have had a little more than 1 pack of sugar and 1 cream but I enjoyed not having to get dressed right away to get coffee. The gym was right across the hall but I didn't use it. I did see that the machines looked new, clean and expensive. There is an indoor pool but we couldn't find an entrance. The free breakfast was dismal. If you just want some juice and coffee, yogurt you should be fine but anything further and you will have some issues. Simple toast was IMPOSSIBLE. The toaster did not work, at all, and the attendant told me that "at least it got the bread a little warm, you should be fine" ugg. Eggs and sausage looked processed and microwaved. They do have a fancy machine that makes pancakes but even with people struggling to figure it out the attendant busied herself microwaving more eggs. The front desk was a dream from start to finish. Very helpful, she had a personality and gave us some pointers on where we might find some entertainment for the evening. The lobby is very nice and they have current magazines laid out for guests to read while waiting. WiFi was not even spotty, it was non existent in our room. Step outside and it was fine. Not sure what was up with that but it's not anything I would use as a deciding factor about another visit because I could have been trying to access wrong. read more

Pros: It's clean, has a very nice pool, and located near a Luby's which gives it many kudos points. Cons: Pillows are lumpy. Breakfast is decent. Eggs should be avoided (Powdered eggs are the bane of my existence). Orange juice is odd too, don't drink it unless you like sugary orange water with fake pulp. After attending a Longview Chamber of Commerce event here last night I can honestly say I am pleasantly surprised with not only this beautiful facility & professional staff but the delicious food as well. I had no idea the restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner every day! We toured the hotel and event space for a bit and I was shocked at how much room there was inside for guests and at the amount of parking! The new Hilton in town is the only venue to come close but the parking there is just atrocious! Just couldn't believe they could seat 450 guests AS WELL as 400 parking spaces! read more

I've stayed a few times in this property over the years. It's starting to show some wear but they are adding a new addition on the back side. They said the old rooms will be upgrade when the new rooms are available. The people on the checkin were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is about standard for HIEx. The service was awful!!!!!!!! My family booked more than 30 rooms for our family reunion we were told a price as a part of the large group discount but, when we got there the fees were different. The check in process was completely confusing and my mom paid for my sister's room after she'd paid for her room. That's how confused the manager on duty Crystal was (with her 18 years of experience). Two prior to our arrival from Dallas a call was placed to the hotel and the rooms information was supposedly sorted out at that time, however at check in it was the complete opposite. The Service was the worst I have ever experienced at any hotel anywhere. The following morning I was in need of fresh towels and called down to the front desk to ask and was informed that housekeeping had not made it in yet and to wait until 8am when they arrived. By 8:15 housekeeping had not arrived, I walked down to the service to ask and there was NO ONE there. Assuming she'd step away for the moment, I waited, and waited, and waited. There were a few other people not apart of our party waiting as well. It took over an hour to finally get towels. Do not stay in this hotel. read more

DO NOT stay here if you are travelling for business or will need internet during your stay. The internet barely ever works and when it does it is absolute garbage! Very stressful when you are trying to get things done for work and the hotel can not resolve the issue. Completely unacceptable in 2013 to not be able to provide reliable internet at a hotel. read more
