We had such a fun night bowling! We didn't know it was league night, but they still had plenty of lanes open and it didn't feel over crowded on a Wednesday night. We got some food before bowling. I had the cheesesticks and pizza which were ok, but my friend had the burger which looked amazing! We like this bowling alley way better than Shreveport. Bowling is still as you remember it. Cafe food/drink prices are just absolutely, insanely pricey unless you come here with the mission of "I'm going to eat food at the Holiday Lanes no matter what!!!" If not please just get some food before you come or eat afterwards. Arcade area was filthy and some games did not work. I am so saddened by today's experience. While we have enjoyed bowling here during the summer program the last few years we no longer will be visiting this establishment. As a mom of 8 special needs kids I was horrified to find out today that they are no longer accommodating for disabilities. Me, my nurse, and dear friend thought we would take our kids to go have some fun today only to be told that they could no longer use bumpers. After speaking to the manager she stated that bigger kids have been destroying them so no one over 3 ft tall would be allowed to use them. This included my two 5 year olds one of which is wheelchair bound with down syndrome. She did decide she could let some of my kids throw the ball and see if she felt they were ok to use bumpers but looked straight at one of the bigger girls and said I can look and tell you she can't! No asking her abilities, diagnosis, or even gave her a chance! I left my name and phone number for the owner to contact me in hopes to get a refund for the family pass we are no longer able to use. However, when my friend who was with me called and spoke to her she stated rules are rules and even questioned how I have that many special needs kids. My family and I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Getting our lanes and shoes was very quick and easy. We ordered drinks and everything came out nicely and the employees were nice as well. The issue with this place is the balls. The finger holes are so small you can barely fit your fingers inside. One employee said they're all like that but a few. It's weird, and made the experience a little uncomfortable. All in all we had fun, but they should consider fixing that issue. read more

For a weekend, make reservations on line!!!! Trendy place with disco lighting by 6, glow necklaces provided. Wine and beer available, one air hockey, and a few pool tables keep the adults/ teens happy. I liked the computerized screens up front and comfortable leather seats. 6 lbs was the lightest ball I could find for my 4 y.o. She was not free and I also forgot to use my YELP coupon up front so no discount for me. Shoes velcro so easy to put on and take off feet. You can keep your shoes with you too. Slurpee/ ICEE kept my kiddo in brain freeze. Beer pitcher numbed my brain. Pizza and toy claw machines available too, so bring your dollar bills. Nice place.. especially as there is not much to do (after you've lost all your money in casinos) in Shreeveport. The staff was polite, we did bowling for 2 hrs for just $10/person including shoes. Shoes were decent and they had balls of all sizes and weights. They didnt honor the yelp checkin 15% off as there was already the $10 promotion going on. Didnt try the food there. Big, heavy balls. :) I made my first visit to Holiday Lanes in years last week. While my game needs work -- my high score was a measly 128 -- Holiday Lanes appears to be in good shape. It's clean, the service was good, prices were reasonable, there's a lot of beer on tap, and it's just fun, no matter how old you are. They have a kids bowl free promotion going on through August 06, 2014. You must register online and there are certain times they can go. Check with the front desk. If you sign up online they send you coupons to redeem on your email. You can print them out or show them on your smart phone. The shoe rental is $3.00 per pair or a promotion for $20 shoe rental throughout the summer. Not a bad deal if you come a lot! When you sign up it gives you the opportunity to get a family fun pass which is also a great deal for up to 4 people. The snack shop sells Icees which are high priced. The small is $2.02 and medium is $2.62. For 3 Icees it was almost $7.00! I didn't even look to see what the other items cost. All in all we had a great time! read more

We had a good time. Your reservation site is very unclear. Our reservation was wrong and it took forever for the associates and the manager to fix it. The counter was in total chaos. We arrived at 20 minutes till 7. Our reservation was at 7. We had a party of 8. It took us until 7:25 to finally start bowling. Then right before our time was up alot of the screens froze up. Of course both of our screens froze with 10 minutes left to bowl. The manager came down and told us she was going to give us more time. We waited about 10 minutes and she only gave us 5 minutes to bowl. The people on the lane next to us asked for their money back. And the music sucked big time! read more

I have been bowling on a league here for years. It's so very sad how much this place has gone down with the new management. We order food every week...and every week, there is something wrong. Honestly the worst bowling alley I have ever been to. The layout has everyone right on top of one another. Everyone is so close that it makes it uncomfortable. The front desk associate was rude and inattentive. I asked for women's size 8 and was instead given men's size 8. When we first arrived there was a long line to get a lane yet only one attendant while others seemed to wander around aimlessly. The floors, machines, and balls seem to be poorly maintained and dirty. I would not recommend this bowling alley and we definitely will not be coming back. Just because something is "the only one in the area" doesn't mean that you can provide poor quality service and it be okay. read more

What a terrible experience!!! I booked a glow party for my son on Saturday. When we showed up we waited as the staff behind the desk were frantically trying to get shoes issued, as if they had never held a party their before. Then we waited over an hour before our lanes finally got turned on. They didn't announce my sons birthday with all the other kids, we never received the glow necklaces and birthday bowling pin. Once the lanes got turned off the continued to turn on and off through the party. This place need to reduce the amount of parties they have at once or train their staff better! The pizza was delicious, our hostess was so sweet & accommodating, and it was all decorated when we got there. Best money spent on a birthday party ever! This bowling alley is a good bowling alley. There are slim pickins in the area, so good thing it is good. My favorite part of this bowling alley, especially during the summer, is the ac. The ac is always on blast, so if you get cold easily bring a sweater in case but I am usually never cold. Their prices are decent for a bowling alley, and they had a nice bowling package for kids during the summer. Another favorite about this place is the sweet potatoe fries. Best I have ever had! I am always tempted to buy them when I am there. There is a bar as well and more food options than fries. The staff that I have encoutered for the most part have been kind. Absolute garbage establishment. Brought my kids here from out of town. Bought an hour, didn't get started for 15 minutes because they couldn't get anyone down to set up bumpers for my young daughter. Then my son (9) was told he was too old for bumpers. No bowling balls that my fit my hand. Dirty everywhere. Played inappropriate music constantly. My friends and I decided to go bowling this weekend (Saturday, July 15th, from 7-9pm) and we heard good things about holiday lanes. Everything was great until we went into the bar area next to the pro shop. There were 10 of us in our group who sat in line to get some beer for the game, my girlfriend and I were last in line of our group. We had to sit and hear the bar tender tell stories to each of our friends about the things he did to and didn't do for people who didn't tip him. He mentioned giving free drinks to people that tipped him and wouldn't serve people that didn't tip him. When the endless line came to a close, it was our turn. I dreaded what idiotic comment he was going to make to us about tipping... I asked for a water, and my girlfriend asked for a beer. He said "sorry I'm prohibited from serving water because they sell water in the at the food court for $$ (which is illegal i thought)". I said "no big deal I go get some". He continued by telling us a tasteless tale of how cool he was with people that tipped him and to "hold on one second before you go buy water". After he grabbed the ticket and saw that we tipped him $1 on a $3 bill he said "I was just waiting to see if you were going to tip me", and made me a cup of water. I laughed, and my girlfriend and I couldn't believe that he was serious. He waited for a $1 tip before he would give me water (which i didn't think he was supposed to do anyway). He was annoying, rude, and could use a day in an actual service industry to see what that kind of behavior lands him. Completely unprofessional and unbelievable. Very disappointment in Holiday Lanes and whichever buffoon hired this ungrateful scumbag. read more
