We bought a used car from them.  When we test drove the car one of my sons noticed that all tires were inflated to 35psi except the left rear tire, which was inflated to 40psi. On our drive home I notice the left rear tire was at 37psi, but was not aware of the original number so I didn't pay attention to it. By the next morning it was down to 19psi. The only tire that was over inflated was the one with a slow leak. Additionally, they did not include a spare tire with the car and when we noticed it was missing they promised to ship it to us. Fortunately I had my son, who is driving the car and is away at college, keep a tire inflater in the car and he was able to inflate it and drive it home. I now need to take the day off of work to have the tire repaired. As an update to this review, I received a call from them this morning. The tire needs to be replaced, and they are not only replacing the damaged tire but all four. They offered to have someone pick up the car and leave a loaner for us to use while the tires are being replaced so I don't need to take time off of work to address this. While the loaner isn't necessary I appreciate them going above and beyond my expectations to correct this. Seeing how they take care of their customers in this manner we will absolutely consider them for our next purchase. read more

I don't usually leave long reviews, but after nearly 1.5 years of dealing with repeated issues, I feel it's important to share my full experience with Holiday Automotive- both as a personal and business commuter who relies heavily on a dependable vehicle. From the test drive, there were immediate red flags: the battery was dead, and there were noticeable vibrations in the steering wheel. The battery was replaced before the sale, but I flagged concerns about the vibrations right away, suspecting a wheel bearing issue. Despite reaching out to service promptly, it took three separate visits over several weeks just to correctly diagnose a front wheel bearing failure (initially blamed on a poor brake job by the previous owner). That ultimately led to rotor and bearing replacements. After the proper diagnosis, it took 4 weeks to order the correct part and another 2 weeks to install it correctly -- after the first install failed due to the part being broken during installation. Not long after, a flashing check engine light came on along with a strange noise from the engine. I brought the vehicle in again, explained the issue, and they replaced the spark plugs -- yet the light kept flashing, and the problem persisted. Despite this, I was reassured that the car was safe to drive, and my concerns were dismissed because the techs claimed they couldn't hear or replicate the sounds I described. Eventually, on my third return visit for the same issue, the check engine light stayed on -- joined by another warning light. While merging onto the highway, the car suddenly went into a violent death wobble, then locked up, made a horrific screeching noise, and came to a stop in the middle of the road -- with my young daughter in the car. It had to be towed back to Holiday. After finally plugging it in for diagnostics, the issue was revealed: misfiring on a cylinder and catastrophic engine failure due to internal bearing damage and metal contamination. This was just 2 months after purchase, and I hadn't even driven it much due to the previous issues. Thankfully, I had an extended warranty, which helped with the $9,600 engine replacement -- on a $10,000 car. But even with the warranty, I had to fight about what would and wouldn't be covered, especially since most of the original 2-month/2,000-mile dealer warranty was wasted while my car sat in their shop for 4-6 weeks. The engine replacement itself took from June to the end of September -- and during the entire time (March-September), I went through 6 different loaners and drove approximately 30,000 miles. From March to September, I only had my own vehicle for maybe 2 of those months. While the car has run better since the engine replacement, I've still had ongoing vibration and pulsating issues. In May 2025, I brought it back again for an oil change and wheel inspection. I dropped it off at 7:30 a.m. and didn't hear a thing until 3:30 p.m., when I was told it was almost done. By 4:30, I was informed that yes, I needed tires, brakes, and rotors, and more importantly -- the previous wheel bearing repair had failed due to improper installation. At that time, I was told that Holiday would cover the bearing repair since it was their fault. Then came a $2,000+ quote for the new tires, brakes, and rotors -- excluding the bearing. When I attempted to schedule the service later, I was informed that they never agreed to cover the faulty bearing, despite having clearly said otherwise earlier. That would've added another $400-$600 to the bill. I attempted to set up an in-person meeting with Service Tech Matt, Service Manager Jeff, and Willie (the COO) of the company, providing specific dates and times -- and no one followed up. Throughout this process, I've dealt with: * Poor and delayed communication * Multiple misdiagnoses * Broken or improperly installed parts * Weeks-long delays waiting for correct parts * A complete engine failure shortly after purchase * Blame-shifting, denials, and failure to stand by their own work I've tried to remain respectful and patient, but I've been ignored, dismissed, and made to feel like an inconvenience. This car should have never been sold -- it should've gone to auction. If Holiday doesn't have the experience to inspect, sell, or service European vehicles, then they shouldn't be doing so. At this point, Holiday has never truly made anything right -- they've only prolonged issues and failed to accept accountability. I will never return to Holiday and will not refer anyone I care about there. Over the years, they've clearly gone downhill in all departments, which is a shame. As a small business owner, a parent, and someone who needs safe, reliable transportation, I cannot stress enough how stressful, costly, and dangerous this entire ordeal has been, especially when you consider that my daughter was in the car when the engine failed on the highway. I saw a mazda I liked online and decided to go take a look. I was dealing with Jarrod and I thought for the most part everything was going good until we started discussing numbers. I saw this vehicle online so I took a screenshot, I was undecided weather to lease or buy because I would lose an incentive if I leased so I went home for the night to think if buying was a better option and get that incentive. After I left, I texted him to ask if I financed locally if I would get the incentive and bring the price down to what I had in the photo and his system at the time. The next morning, Jarrod texted me asking where I was getting that (original) number from, I sent him a screenshot and sent me one on his computer and his was now $2000 more. He told me it was a typo and this was the new price. All the time I was there, it was the price I had on my phone but after I left, the "typo" was caught and adjusted. There was a lot of backpedaling and even offered an extra $500 for the "mistake". This was my first time there and will be the last too. Avoid this place at all costs if buying a used car. And avoid having Jarrod as your sales associate. After buying the car, an inspection that I paid for showed worn brakes, a nearly dead battery, and 2 tires that were 7 years old. They try to get away with whatever they can if possible, so please don't make my mistake and trust that they fully inspected the car (which Jarrod claimed it was). Was also sarcastic. Left that day and bought a car at Napleton Mazda in Libertyville, IL, where they were actually super helpful and willing to negotiate on price. I got a car from this dealership 4 years ago and they were great! They listened to me and what I wanted and then gave me all options to help me get the best car. I live in Green Bay and I drove down to get my last car from them as well. I had some trouble with my car recently and called the local dealership, they were not helpful. I called Holiday and not only did they help me, they explained it all to me and let me know all the steps to make sure my questions were answered. I went in for an oil change and the woman told me on the phone that it would take roughly 20 minutes. Perfect! I got there and the man told me 30-40, I have time to spare but that's about my limit. An hour and a half later my car is finally ready and my schedule for the day is messed up. This was a very disappointing experience. Apparently, once you've purchased a vehicle you no longer matter. I have been trying to get the phone number for the warranty I purchased (for quite a bit extra) with my used vehicle as it is in need of repairs. A week and a half later and I have not received an update or a phone number. Granted, it is my fault I lost the information in a move, but how difficult is it to find my file and a phone number? When we were searching the Holiday Mazda lots just outside of business hours, we stopped an employee who was finishing his day to ask a few questions. It was the best chance encounter our son could have had. That employee, Logan Erickson, was well-versed in vehicle knowledge, a great listener, and low pressure. He handed our son his card and encouraged us to return the next day to test drive vehicles. The next day, Logan patiently worked to make certain our son found a vehicle just right for his needs and pocket book. Even though they knew I was moving out of state, and would likely not be a customer anymore, they expedited the service I needed and gave me a new CX-5 to drive for the day while they worked on mine. I shopped around the nation for a good deal on a good car, and talked with and visited several dealerships before I found exactly the car that I was looking for at Holiday Mazda. Since I live in Kansas, I had to fly into Milwaukee to test drive and buy the car. Holiday Mazda understood my situation, and was willing to negotiate an attractive price for me before I booked a flight, and there was none of the usual runaround that I got from other dealerships. They even sent someone to the airport to pick me up and drive the hour up to Fond Du Lac. I had some tough questions about the car, and they were happy to answer those. Once I decided to buy, they made the process quick and easy. I had come in with an excellent financing offer from a local credit union, but Holiday Mazda was able to match it and simplify the buying process. We did have an innocent mixup with some of the paperwork and the spare key, but we got it all straightened out through through the mail afterwards. I am so glad I chose Holiday Automotive for my first car purchase in almost a decade! I initially chose to go to Holiday Mazda because I saw the car I was looking for, in my price range, online. I was a little hesitant to make the trip to Fond du Lac since we have plenty of dealerships here in the Milwaukee area but the great reviews I read won me over. Just the thought of car shopping gives me anxiety but I can honestly say that our Product Specialist, Julien Bitterwolf, and the Finance Manager, Ruth, were SO nice and easy to work with. Julien is very polite, low-pressure and really seemed to care that my husband and I left happy customers. The price of the vehicle we purchased had just been lowered the day before so we were not able to negotiate the price any more, but said price was already significantly lower than other dealers for the same vehicle. We were however able to negotiate some cosmetic concerns we had. Julien was able to get all of the cosmetic issues we addressed taken care of, which I am extremely pleased with. Holiday Automotive even gave me a very nice loaner vehicle, free of charge, while the issues were being fixed (since I had already sold my previous vehicle). I came to Holiday Automotive with a pre-approval offer and Ruth, the Finance Manager, was able to beat the rate I was pre-approved at, what a pleasant surprise! Ruth took the time to go through all the additional options and warranties we could add to our vehicle but was in no way pushy about the additions. We chose to only add gap coverage and did not feel pressured into anything else. We arrived at the dealership around 9:30am on a Saturday and were out of there by around 1pm...in and out within about 3 1/2 hours - WOW! They even provided us with lunch! A+ Service here!
