I'm not normally a person to leave bad reviews. But this is the worst psychiatrist office I've ever been to. I am constantly calling the office phone (which they rarely answer), showing up in person, and sending messages on the patient portal any time I need a prescription refill or something similar. They never reply to my messages, and when I show up in person they always brush me off. 9/10 times when I call them, no matter what time, they don't pick up the phone. And I always leave my name and number, but have not once received a call back. It took me 10 months from my doctor putting in the request for my Spravato treatment, to me actually getting the first one. Meanwhile, I know other people who have gotten in in a week. My doctor will tell me that they will call in enough refills to last me until our next appointment, but I enevitably run out before then every time, and often go weeks without meds because of this. I also have been waiting since WEDNESDAY MARCH 4TH for my doctor to fill out the work accomodations form I sent them. I have been calling at least three times per week, leaving messages, and going down there at least once per week to ask about this. I went down there again last week to ask, and was told that they JUST put in a note to my doctor to have them fill it out. I asked to speak to the office manager, who told me that no notes had been taken for any of my calls, even though I had been told by the people taking my calls that there had been. The office manager tried to excuse this, by saying that they had new staff members. But this kind of thing has been going on here for as long as I've been a patient with them (since 2022). It's now Friday May 22nd. And I still don't have the form. And I haven't been able to get my anxiety and depression meds from them for weeks. The ONLY reason I still come is because I can't afford another psychiatrist in my area that provides Spravato treatments. I'm poor and physically disabled. I can't just go to another psychiatrist office, no matter how much I want to. I am only writing this review to vent, and to warn other people considering coming here. If you have another option, PLEASE take it. I don't want other people to go through this. Thank you for reading, I know this was a long post. read more

I saw nurse practitioner, Beth I could never get in touch with him. He never returned any of my calls. I called their all three of their phone numbers that they've given me to contact Back and no return call. I'm still waiting today on a return. Call that I called two weeks ago The front desk staff Supervisor you can't get in touch with them. They don't answer the they have a answering service where a lady that's not located at the clinic answers the phone, but she also cannot contact them. They don't return any phone calls. I called about my medication informed them that it was making me sick. I never got a call back I had to speak to the doctor in reference to it on my next visit. He was not aware that it made me sick. Horrible, Horrible Service . They double billed me for a visit that I didn't show. They took money out of my spending account on my car that I didn't approve of. They were also suppose to do my FMLA papers to extended time. They never did that when they did do it they overcharge me they told me it was $80 and then they charged me $96 . It's been a horrible nightmare when I brought it to the Dr attention was then able to speak with the supervisor. They have caused me most stress than the reason that I was going out for. read more

I first started going to their office in Kingwood, everything was ok ample parking, easy and fast check in-g and check out. Making appointments in person or by phone is easy and the operators are very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Now I see my therapist by videocall. i have received the promised link for 1 of the 4-5 zoom meeting i have scheduled with this practice. and I have been bounced around between multiple diffeent doctors. no one can give me a phone number that will take me directly to the office. I live an hour away so it's very difficult to get physically into the office during business hours. I was referred here and was very disappointed with the complete lack of communication and total disregard for the appointments I scheduled. I do not recommend this practice if you need actual mental health treatment. read more

This office saved my life. I feel heard, I feel respected, I feel taken care of. Other offices have made me feel like just another number, where here I am a full PERSON. A. Gelman is the BEST and I would follow her to the ends of the earth. Cannot recommend her care enough. I was referred here by a behavioral hospital to treat my schizophrenia/bipolar/ptsd/ocd. This place has the most ridiculous ADHD assessment I've ever heard of. You have to pay $100 to play a video game. My partner was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and definitely has it, but couldn't be put on a certain medicine until they did the video game diagnosis. Afterward, was asked "are you good at video games?" they said yes, and was told that's probably why they scored low. They scored low on ADHD because they're good at video games. read more

As a long-time patient of Holistic Psychiatry, I trusted their staff. However, that all changed last month. I was scheduled for a regular Spravato treatment, and had received two reminders/confirmations from the office prior to my appointment. When I arrived at the office, I was told loudly and publicly by the Spravato administrator that my medication had not been delivered so my appointment was cancelled. There was also some confusion regarding my insurance since I had switched to COBRA. The next communication I received from them was that Dr. Raj had "terminated" me from the practice! I was shocked and saddened. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Raj, and was told that there was a note on my account not to make any further appointments with him. I had no recourse. Later, I received a letter stating that I was terminated but that I was still a patient through 30-days after the date of the letter. I called and explained and was eventually granted a virtual visit with Dr. Raj. He stated I had been terminated due to 2 missed appointments--the dates my medication was not there. I have never received such rude, abrupt, unprofessional treatment--especially as someone battling depression and anxiety. Please don't get involved with this practice for your own sake. read more

Nobody seems to know what they are doing. Medications have been sent incorrectly, refills not on time causing me to run out of meds that I'm not supposed to miss. He is constantly trying to get patients to go to Kingwood Pines Hospital because he is the director there and he gets paid $$ big bucks $$ that way! Billed my insurance company $400 for each visit... even when he talked to me for 3 minutes and handed me a refill. He is all about the money and throwing a million different meds at you. Needed or not! Its such a joke. They never return phone calls...you practically have to go up there to get ANYTHING done. I'm so done with that entire place! The only thing I Iiked were the girls up front. They were very cool and very helpful. read more

I am going to be that reviewer that wishes there were more stars! Dr Raj is second to none a doctor that really studies the needs of his patients very closely. His style is methodical, compassionate and caring. He is the doctor that is pursuant of finding solutions to your needs in an expeditious manner. He has combined the art of medication management and psychotherapies in a thoughtful, precise way. I think this doctor is a problem-solver and results seeker on your behalf. He offers tele-medicine which is a game-changer during this epidemic. Judging by their website, this seems like it would be a good place to go to for someone struggling to overcome ADHD, anxiety, etc. and lead a successful life. But how could I know when I've been turned away at the door with no chance to come back? I had to cancel my first appointment the morning of thanks to a serious migraine headache I woke up with - something else I suffer from occasionally, especially when taking medication that adversely affects my sleep. I tried to explain this to the receptionist the next time I called to reschedule the appointment, but she told me that there was nothing she could do and I would just have to find another provider. I understand that providers lose money for missed appointments, but this wasn't a case of flippant irresponsibility on my part. It was an emergency I had little control over. And now I've been denied a chance to even see if this clinic is the right one for me thanks to whatever no-tolerance policy they're following here. read more

This office has a horrible way of confirming apts . I have two children that started going here. They send a text for only one to confirm apt and I replied but the other one they canceled because I didn't call the office to confirm. They said with two patients using the same number you only get one text and the other you have to call two days prior or they cancel! THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO KNOW AHEAD OF TIME!! read more

This place is a sorry excuse of a mental help office. The front office staff has messed up my appointments numerous of times. They never inform me of the office going through some kind of change. They act like a small inconvenience, like messing up my appointment, won't affect me, but going through a mental breakdown because I wasn't able to receive my meds BECAUSE they messed up my appointment. ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE FOR A MENTAL HEALTH OFFICE. It is virtually impossible to speak to anyone in the office by phone. You get a voicemail no matter which option you chose from the menu when you call, and good luck getting anyone to call you back. After leaving numerous detailed messages and a detailed email, someone finally called me back (3 days after when I first started leaving messages). When she finally seemed to understand what I needed, she agreed to follow up on it. I asked her to call me back to confirm once my request was being handled. It turns out that it was finally done but no one ever called me back to confirm as they had promised. So don't ever expect anyone in this office if you have an emergency...obviously they don't do emergencies. Choose another provider!!!!! read more

I saw Dr. Reena Kumar last week and had a wonderful experience. I have recently been experiencing anxiety and panic attacks and came there not knowing what to expect dealing with this for the first time in my life. I thought my issues were initially something I could fix on my own, but realized that is not the case. She was patient and kind and really took the time needed to listen to me and figure out the best course of action to take. I could not have asked for a better experience. The ladies at the front desk were nothing but polite and professional, as well. I am so glad that I went to Holistic Psychiatry and met with Dr. Kumar. This place does not have your best interest at heart. Every time I went there was a new policy enacted, which usually cost me more money. They added on a "therapy" fee to everyone. I asked why I was being charged this fee and was told everyone was-so I never got a reasonable answer. The last and final visit, I was told I was supposed to be getting drug tested every appt. After a year on that medication, it was news to me. Then I was told something to the effect of "it's only $100, it's not a big deal." Maybe not to them but to me it's a VERY big deal. if I could rate 0, I would. I had a huge issue with one of the doctors. I set up a new appointment about 3 weeks ago with Maya Puri, and was faced with the worst case scenario: my appointment was pushed back without a 48 hour notice, it was actually pushed back by phone call under 24 hours yesterday while I was in the middle of work, the appointment from 1 to now 12. I showed up at 11:30, early enough to fill out the necessary paperwork, only to be waiting until 12:30 to be told that my appointment was rescheduled yet again. 30 minutes after my appointment was due to start. They told me to come back at 2, and I showed up at 1:30, only to be faced with the same issue, my appointment was pushed yet again from 2 to 2:30, in which I was so frustrated with the unprofessionalism that I requested a refund and walked out. I would not recommend this place at all if you're looking for someone who will be on time. While I was waiting, I heard other people having the same issue, their appointment being pushed back due to the unprofessionalism and late doctor. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm still mad about my experience. I don't know where to start. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've never experienced a "doctors" office like this before. After reading reviews it doesn't seem like writing a review will make a difference, but I'm hoping to warn people. My advice to you is read every word of what you sign and call your insurance before you pay anything to them. They are covered under my insurance and I had no out of pockets to pay or copays because I had met them for the year. They tried to charge me every single time I came in and then they did charge me for a test they claimed wasn't covered under insurance. They will say your insurance doesn't cover something, but come to find out they don't even call you're insurance to check on certain things to see if it is covered. My insurance denied them a lot of claims they submitted and saved me from paying them after they reviewed the claims. It will be a nightmare to try to get reimbursed when you do overpay and no one picks up in billing when you call. Pointless to leave a message and ask for a call back you won't get that either. To get reimbursed what they overcharged me they didn't tell me they were going to charge my card again for the right amount that was supposed to be charged and then credit my account for what they overcharged in the first place. I've never heard of anyone doing that. Luckily I am poor and they didn't seem to care that they screwed me and it took what felt like a month to get my money back after they charged my card again. They had no problem taking the money they were never supposed to have in the first place out of my account, but I then never received the reimbursement until I called everyday to keep asking about it. It's fine I didn't need the money or anything. And to be honest my problem never seemed to be with the dr's themselves it was the management and billing. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a facility like this. And the cherry on top is having an appointment and being one of two people in waiting room and waiting forever for your appointment and overhearing them talk about a patient that just got up and left because they also had an issue the front desk people wouldn't help her with. Not professional at all and that poor girl was there for a reason, to get help and you probably screwed her over too. read more
