Never once have I seen anyone be 'rude' or 'cold' in all the times I've been there. ----------------------------- I have been a patient since March 2017. Not once have I seen anything of the activities mentioned in these one-star "non-reviews" (just self-centered, angry patients who I would imagine went home and wrote one) - Anything such as policies that are in place that people either don't like or can't navigate is not a basis for a one star review - this also goes for business like Spirit Airlines which get routinely savaged on review sites by people who either expect what the business does not deliver, or does not understand the business model. Not only has my care at KP been top-notch since day one, the front office staff has been friendly and helpful. And I say this as someone who has experienced the worst in medical office staff, going so far as to leave a medical practice over the ineptitude of their staff (example, forgetting to send a specialist referral for my child to insurance which was their responsibility at the time, then we arrived at the specialist and they would not see my child). THIS is a reason to be upset with a medical provider, not for policies you don't agree with. KP has provided compassionate and knowledgeable care from the 'talking' and the medical standpoints. I always receive both emails and texts in advance of upcoming appointments, and can often take advantage of their appointment cancellation list for my therapist for high-demand days. Some of their policies might seem a little draconian, but they have to have guidelines, this is serious business. To those complaining about the no-show fee, put the new appointment in your phone's calendar while you're standing at the desk. If they offer you a card, accept one. It's on you to get there, not them. I've barely talked about my own therapist, and don't even feel I need to since these reviews tend to slam the office itself, but she is fantastic and has really helped me make progress. To anyone considering KP, look past the aggregate number, it is not in any way a true rep of how this office performs. Consider the content and source of the 'non-reviews' versus those of the higher-rated ones to get a better understanding. Go with an open mind and a willingness to follow simple protocol, and KP will fill your needs just fine.

Over the phone, the NP reached out to the psychiatrist to consult on how to move forward. After about 3 minutes, the NP returned to our video call and recommended (hesitantly) the extreme solution of checking myself into their affiliate hospital for monitoring. This psychiatrist had never spoken with me and no one in the office had ever seen me in person. I immediately went to my GP who confirmed that if I were to try to check myself into a hospital, I would not be admitted because he couldn't fathom a medically justifiable reason to do so. As an attorney myself, based on the circumstances, the commentary that accompanied the conversation, and a few other data points, I believe this psychiatrist must have been burned by a previous patient and it has affected his approach to patient care. Refusing to treat me unless I checked myself into a hospital is wild...especially considering the man never bothered to even speak with me.

She never gives up on me, researching new meds and combinations of meds. She always responds quickly to my messages, or the NP does if it's an emergency. She is a very caring and upbeat, positive care giver. I have not personally had issues with the office staff as others have stated on here. I do know that some staff were let go after a negative experience with clients. Anyone who has had a negative experience should speak with Dr. Evans personally. She will address it as her clients come first. Having said all this, if you are seeking help for mental health, you must do your part and be proactive. You must do your part in your treatment plan. If you are reading this, do not ignore the negative reviews, but take with a grain of salt. (As with any review from a stranger). The whole story is not known on why the clients did not receive what was requested. I don't think that TBH can respond on this platform AND abide by HIPPA laws. So a lack of response from TBH is not an indication of guilt by silence. Just remember that.

They show zero concern for how long any of that takes, and because they never answer the phone, you're forced to stay if you need to schedule anything. The worst part is their complete inability to answer calls. In the months I've been a patient, they've answered maybe twice. My medication is hard to find, so adjustments are often needed based on pharmacy availability, but you can't get anyone on the phone to help. The doctor even told me to call if I had trouble getting my prescription filled, but that doesn't help when no one picks up. To make things worse, I needed to reschedule an appointment but they would not answer and then charged me a no show even though I told them I tried calling multiple times. This office is not managed well, and patients end up being treated like we're the problem.

I am constantly calling the office phone (which they rarely answer), showing up in person, and sending messages on the patient portal any time I need a prescription refill or something similar. They never reply to my messages, and when I show up in person they always brush me off. 9/10 times when I call them, no matter what time, they don't pick up the phone. And I always leave my name and number, but have not once received a call back. It took me 10 months from my doctor putting in the request for my Spravato treatment, to me actually getting the first one. Meanwhile, I know other people who have gotten in in a week. My doctor will tell me that they will call in enough refills to last me until our next appointment, but I enevitably run out before then every time, and often go weeks without meds because of this. I also have been waiting since WEDNESDAY MARCH 4TH for my doctor to fill out the work accomodations form I sent them. I have been calling at least three times per week, leaving messages, and going down there at least once per week to ask about this. I went down there again last week to ask, and was told that they JUST put in a note to my doctor to have them fill it out. I asked to speak to the office manager, who told me that no notes had been taken for any of my calls, even though I had been told by the people taking my calls that there had been. The office manager tried to excuse this, by saying that they had new staff members. But this kind of thing has been going on here for as long as I've been a patient with them (since 2022). It's now Friday May 22nd. And I still don't have the form. And I haven't been able to get my anxiety and depression meds from them for weeks. The ONLY reason I still come is because I can't afford another psychiatrist in my area that provides Spravato treatments. I'm poor and physically disabled. I can't just go to another psychiatrist office, no matter how much I want to. I am only writing this review to vent, and to warn other people considering coming here. If you have another option, PLEASE take it. I don't want other people to go through this. Thank you for reading, I know this was a long post.
