When we moved out the property manager Chelsea gave us a free chilled bottle of water (which was much appreciated we'd been moving heavy boxes in the heat) and was very friendly and personable as she closed our account. No high pressure sales tactics, no hidden fees, very attentive staff. We will definitely be coming back if we need storage in the future.

The only negative I've had so far is they are not open 24 hrs and close each night at 7pm. I wish it was open until 9 especially when it's hot so we could go after the sun is down. And it's a pain to need to use the code to get both in and out. I wish it was only going in. The units are clean and Sharon is happy to bring you a cold water if she sees you out there! Absolutely unacceptable. I've been renting this unit for months and still don't have a working…read morelight. Despite multiple requests, management's response has basically been that I "don't need one" and should just move my things in and out in the dark until I move out. I was even told that not being able to see inside the unit isn't a safety issue. This isn't an open garage--my unit is enclosed, with almost no natural or hallway light reaching inside. It's functionally unusable once the door is closed. I've had to rely on flashlights just to see, and have even dragged my belongings out into the hallway under the dim overhead light just to open boxes and find what I need. That's not reasonable for a paid storage unit. I've made repeated attempts to resolve this and have been ignored or dismissed every time. Meanwhile, they're trying to increase my rent by a third--without fixing a basic, essential issue. Charging more while providing less is bad business. I'm already looking elsewhere and would strongly recommend others do the same.

The facility itself is falling apart and on two occasions the gate would not open wide enough to drive through. But the most frustrating thing is the lack of carts! They are impossible to find, there isn't a designated area for people to return them and it forced me to carry all of my contents in my 5x10 unit by hand. My final complaint is about the irresponsible manner in which renters park their vehicles, making it almost impossible to get by. I've even had to back up my truck in reverse just to get out because someone was being inconsiderate. Just a terrible experience all around.

What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Had to file a police report, insurance claims. ect. following month they pulled another payment!!! ENOUGHT is enough!! In don't know why we are not refunded for all of the months that we stored it here, as the purpose was for you to keep my shizzz safe.. that was not done. The $2000 extra insurance to cover the $1000 deductible and what was in it doesn't even come close to covering what was in it. You still keep your money while i've lost it all!!! My husband may be nice and easy to walk all over; I'M FREAKING TIRED OF GETTING SCREWED!!! DON'T STORE YOUR STUFF HERE. THEY MAY HAVE HADE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. Win win in their end.....
