Loved the atmosphere. Expect to put down at least $30 which was worth it. Fried Chesapeake Oysters with the dent corn hominy was excellent. I wish I did not have to share this appetizer. The Block Island Scallops over the Narragansett succotash was perfect. The scallops nicely seared, and the succotash was excellent and did well with the scallops. The Eastern Shore Crab Cake was large and perfect. Nicely prepared. The zucchini that came with it was also done well and not overly seasoned. The potato salad was a surprise. Not expecting much, it was one of my favorites, and I wish I could have a plate full of it to chow down. Make it a day and visit this establishment and enjoy the day. When I am Baltimore again, I'll consider stopping by for a nice meal.

I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

One of the best meals we had in Baltimore…read more We ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, the Maryland Crab Soup, and the Seafood Hot Combo. The crab cake absolutely lived up to its reputation--packed with large, sweet pieces of crab meat and very little filler. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light. I finally understood why Maryland is so proud of its crab cakes. The Maryland Crab Soup was hearty and comforting, with plenty of vegetables and crab flavor. The Seafood Combo was generous and perfect for sharing after a long day of exploring the city. The restaurant was busy but well organized, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere felt lively without being overwhelming. After lunch, we took a short walk to Fells Point and spent the afternoon exploring the neighborhood, which made it a perfect Baltimore experience. If you're visiting Baltimore for the first time and want to try an authentic Maryland crab cake, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Solid place to have a nice dinner!…read more Came for a celebration and we left very satisfied. Must have: the seafood (obviously) was very good. Shrimp, crab, lobster, mussels, all was fresh! The calamari was amazing (especially with the chipotle sauce). Skip: the chicken fingers were mostly bread, not much chicken. We got it for my child, but he didn't eat it. Pros: rustic ambiance, great service, food came out pretty quickly Cons: furniture could use an update (we had a broken chair and almost fell), lunch portion seafood could use a bit more seafood. Overall, great experience and would definitely return.

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were the star of the meal--packed with large pieces of sweet crab meat, lightly seasoned, and cooked to perfection with very little filler. The Haddock was fresh, flaky, and perfectly fried with a light, crispy coating. We also ordered the Pot Boil with crabs, shrimp, and snow crab legs, and it did not disappoint. The seafood was fresh, generously portioned, and seasoned just right, making it a fun and satisfying meal to share. What made the experience even better was the outstanding staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and taking the time to answer our questions with a smile. Their excellent service truly elevated the entire dining experience. If you're visiting Baltimore and love fresh seafood, Faidley's at the new Lexington Market is a must-visit.

I spontaneously tried this place for lunch…read more Of course, as everyone else in Baltimore, I have tried their crab cake before. It was in 2012. That's a long time. It was pretty good. Worth the hype. On my last visit last month, I went and got a Catfish Filet and Medium Tea. The Catfish is what took this review from a 5 Star to 4. I was very unsatisfied and disappointed in the Catfish. The breading was icky. Too much, not tasty, and funny looking. The tea was ok. I will skip that as well on my next visit. I will try the Shrimp Platter upon my next visit. I would like to end this review on a better note. Customer Service was very pleasant and the atmosphere, seats, and the tabletops were clean. Ok, that's it.

I absolutely loved it, from the prompt service to the ambience to the local, delicious food, we had such a lovely dinner. I came for oysters and I got them. First we had a dozen raw oysters from the True Chesapeake farm, which were so fresh and flavorful. My favorite hands down was the Chunky Dunker oyster, gigantic and meaty. Then we had broiled oysters, you know, for some variety! They were fantastic. Dinner was fabulous, I had the scallops and my husband had the fish. We ate every single bite, and all but licked the plates clean. To finish, we had dessert cocktails - the Grasshopper tastes like an Andes mint - and we happily headed home with full bellies. I can't wait to come back and try more of the local seafood on offer!

Great meal at great restaurant and I look forward to coming back soon to try some other food here…read more A couple reasons for this not being a five-star review, first of all somewhere along the way our server left and another server took her place and we're not sure why but once the other server took over which luckily was right before dessert things slowed down to a snail's pace. It took forever for us to get our desserts and then the same to get our check. Not really sure why our server disappeared halfway through the meal, but she did. Secondly, I ordered a catfish sandwich which was delicious but I ordered it with no tartar sauce and our server said that that's the way she put it down but the kitchen didn't prepare it that way they prepared it with tartar sauce slathered all over the sandwich which I promptly sent back. Not being a big oyster fan, I did get a couple of raw oysters and actually really enjoyed them and will be back to have more in the future. My mom had the snakehead which was very delicious but also a very small portion for the amount that we paid. The website indicated that for those who are gluten-free, like my mom, the menu had stars on them but the menu that we had did not nor was there a menu with stars indicating what is or could be made gluten free. The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. We chose to eat outside because it wasn't too hot and we could sit under cover and enjoy the beautiful June weather. It was nice inside but it didn't look to be a very large area inside and could have been very noisy with the high ceilings. Not sure willl try in the future and report at that time. There are many things on the menu that I want to try so I will definitely be back. If you love oysters come here and they won't disappoint. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. Aside from the two issues that I experienced, they were minor in the scheme of things and I will definitely be back.

Food was excellent and everything I was expecting. Seafood tasted fresh and well seasoned. We tried a variety of the menu and it kept getting better. Drinks were bold which I love. Food we tried: - Moules Frites - Hot Honey Old Bay Wings - Lamb Chops - Volcano Charbroiled Oysters The food was great but my favorite part of the visit were the people. We sat at the bar on a Friday night and the service was excellent. Servers were attentive, asked and answered questions about the menu, gave recommendations of things to do in the city. I tried the volcano and teriyaki oysters, and they were so good. The truffle fries also held their own, and I am very particular about my fries, so that says a lot. I also ordered the happy hour tacos (oyster and catfish). They were okay, nothing to run home about. Since the restaurant clearly has some elevated sauces, I would love to see those same sauces incorporated into the tacos to make them stand out more. Otherwise, they feel pretty standard. Also, try the deviled eggs topped with a fried oyster. Very tasty and worth ordering. I would absolutely come back to try dinner, but the happy hour menu definitely gives you great value for your money and excellent service.
