I went to this office specifically because of the $299 yearly service plan advertised as including 2 free cleanings and discounts. I am currently uninsured and was very clear about my tight budget and need for affordable preventive care. I paid the $299 upfront and had the exam. During the exam, the doctor informed me I needed a "deep cleaning" for nearly $1,200. I explained I simply could not afford that and asked to just receive the regular "free" cleaning included in the plan I just bought. I was told no, the doctor could not perform a standard cleaning because it was a liability issue, I am out $299 for an exam and a membership card. I received no cleaning at all. The "2 free cleanings a year" benefit is effectively void if the doctor decides you need a deep cleaning which was not explained before paying. Holly is really gruff & scary, it just felt really dishonest with her. She said I needed a root canal & sent me to an oral surgeon. She kept pressuring me to pay out of pocket & telling me to worry about insurance later. My insurance actually approved the root canal the day of my appointment & sent a dated letter providing this. My insurance would cover all my dental care but Holly still kept pushing me to pay the entire thing out of pocket over & over. The dental surgeons they sent me to would not do a root canal as they said I didn't need it. Which is fine, Holly wanted me to get a second opinion. When I called the office to let them know, they got upset I didn't get the root canal & kept mixing up the tooth that needed the work. It was sketch. Dr. Holly Nadji then sent me a weird angry text littered with grammar/typos. First off, she mentions the wrong tooth again (it was a different tooth every time I asked). She then tells me "I called and complained of pain" which I never did, I was never in pain & never called the office. She was weirdly mad I didn't get a root canal. I was literally in the chair ready for the root canal but the surgeon refused to do it, saying I didn't need it. I don't know why that made Holly so mad at ME. I first came to Dr. Holly, because of the positive reviews, when I first moved to Jacksonville earlier this year. After taking X-rays they informed me that I absolutely had to do a root canal on a cavity I had because it had reached the root. Fine. But, of course, their recommended specialist doesn't take insurance and then the crown they provide is $1800. He was a different story- a piece of his metal file broke off inside my tooth and he left it there and sealed it. And before they did the root canal they needed me to get my wisdom teeth removed because it was too close to the back molar I needed to get the root canal on. That was another $1500. I trusted Dr. Holly and did everything she asked. I even got another cavity filled before the crown because she said it would become a root canal issue in a few months if I waited. They also urged me to get a cleaning before the filling. Several thousands of dollars later, the real trouble came when I went in to get fitted for my permanent crown. After waiting 20 minutes in the chair to be seen, Dr. Holly came in. She has a air of condescension about her that I kind of ignore most of the time. I don't know if it's my age (24) or that she simply doesn't like me? She always speaks very slowly and talks down to me like I'm a child. I've been very frustrated throughout this whole process because it just seems to be one expensive thing after another and she keeps saying I have more things awry. So, today, she starts on the permanent crown impression. I was already disappointed at how much of my real tooth she ground down and today she did more. While working on me she says that she needs to grind down one of my bottom molars and that it's "absolutely necessary." I asked her to stop and explain what she meant because I really didn't understand why we needed to touch another tooth. At this, she dramatically removed her gloves and said that I didn't have to be here if I didn't want to be. She said she has 26 years of experience and that I came to her but I could leave if I wanted to. When I began to apologize and explain that I'm just trying to understand the process, she said "I'm going to leave the room and give you a few minutes to calm down." She essentially put me in time-out for 10 minutes while the numbing continued to wear off. When she returned, she lectured me about trusting her and I simply kept my mouth shut (metaphorically) while she worked. She did a bit more and stepped out again and I'm currently waiting for the actual impression to be taken. My appointment was at 10, its currently 11:38am and I'm still waiting for her to come back this time. Again, while the numbing is wearing off. I don't appreciate being treated like a child after spending thousands of dollars here. I don't know why she felt the need to put me in time-out when I'm a patient who simply wanted to understand what was going on in her mouth. After the permanent crown, I'll be searching for a different dental office. Update: I got a second opinion from another dentist and it looks like Holly did an even worse job than I thought. My molar is now rotting and I need an emergency service by another dentist. I would give Dr. Holly Nadji a 0 if possible. I have never been treated so disrespectfully or so frighten. Do yourself a favor and see another dentist. She said I needed a root canal on a crown that came off. When I went back to get the crown, she said it did not fit. She then said I needed a crown lengthening, which involves cutting the bone around the tooth. When I left her office, I was not coming back. I went to another dentist who replaced my crown for much less, without any problems. I did not need a root canal or a crown lengthening. Although, I paid for another crown, I could not go back to her again. Not to mention she keep me waiting for hours on each visit and spoke to me very harshly. Unreservedly the first and only time I've felt less than terrified and something other than dread at a dentist's office. From the staff, who are all wonderfully considerate and kind to Dr. Nadji herself it is a five star plus plus experience. Going to the dentist isn't fun (duh), but if you have to go, choose wisely and head in here. You probably got the point I had some terrible experiences as a kid and young adult in "the chair." I'm a needle chicken and my body is incredibly efficient at processing any substances (Novocain/Marcain etc). Dr. Nadji patiently listened and numbed me before the sneaky shots (she might have been a slight of hand artist in another life). She recommended Nitrous which helped with the anxiety. Nine hours later with a deep cleaning (scaling & planing ), two root canals and three crowns down I was done and the pain afterwards was minimal. They dd it all in one day because I tend to disappear between visits. They say they didn't but I'm pretty sure they had a betting pool on whether I would show. They truly are gentle, kind, and incredibly considerate . So if you're a big dental coward like myself, it is worth checking out. My next visit is for some whitening! read more

We were with this dentist for 4 years. Root canals and deep cleaning are solution to everything. We figured something was not right so I consulted two other dentists and one ortho. (These dentist did not know what this lady was recommending) Both of the second opinions were like really when I told them. They take their time to explain the current condition of your teeth and their recommended game plan for correction with all the reasoning to back it and then let you call the shots from there. I found Dr. Holly and i should have done my research better on her practice. I am giving two stars because her front desk employee allie and most of her techs do genuinely care and try their best to comfort you. Dr.Holly has a condescending attitude and a fake niceness to her. When I attempted to question her about my root canal, she got very defensive at one point and told me I needed to trust her and not question her. Her nice tech found concrete all over my root canal tooth still and had to pry it off because dr. holly did not seem to double check her work. Concrete can cause the symptoms i was feeling but because dr. Holly is so prideful she did not want to help me out and made me feel guilty. Each visit here i felt more and more stuck with going only to them because they refused to let me continue my root canal treatment elsewhere, they would make me book with them right away and told me they could not send my x-rays out or go anywhere else. They also will not be too upfront with you about your insurance so be very careful when booking with them. My permanent crown that dr holly put on is so messed up after I got feedback from another dentist I will need another procedure. She also ground down my back tooth when i didn't need it and she did not give me a choice in the matter. Please go to another dentist that makes you feel heard and comfortable, don't waste your time or money with dr.holly. Their technology is pretty outdated and they dont have everything that other higher tech dentists do to analyze your mouth and teeth structure. The way she puts those novacane shots into your mouth is terrible as well since she rushes it with no regard to your comfort level. It is pretty dangerous to rush the shot like that as it can damage your muscles. read more

I have major dentist anxiety. Before today I hadn't had a cleaning in 23 years although I am a faithful brusher and flosser I was in obvious need of a deep cleaning with severe gingivitis and extreme plaque buildup. They were so wonderful setting my mind at ease and making me feel comfortable and relaxed during my visit and the cleaning was very gentle. I didn't want to look at my pictures after the cleaning being embarrassed of my dental condition but she assured me I should look. I can not believe the condition of my teeth and what she accomplished in an hour. I am proud to smile again. My entire family comes here and my wife and two thirteen year old daughters have had wonderful experiences as well. So much so that we are moving 2 hours away but I will continue to make the trip to come to see Dr Holly and her amazing staff. I really can't say enough wonderful things. If you have any dental anxiety give her a chance. I am so glad I did! Also, I paid far less for the same procedure I was quoted from other dentists. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Dr. Holly Nadji uses your pain and vulnerability as a reason to justify doing unnecessary procedures, over charging, and charging you for procedures she has no intention of doing unless you do XYZ first which cost an exorbitant amount of money. She does this so that she capitalizes her gains at your expense. If you like being extorted, throwing away your money, lied to and manipulated-She's the one to see. Listen, I WAS A DENTAL ASSISTANT. I am not entirely ignorant of dental procedures and costs. Short version, I needed a root canal. Unfortunately, the endodontist was booked for that day so I would have to wait a week. I paid upfront for the root canal, post, core and crown. At the end of that first appt Dr. Nadji made it clear that now she wouldn't do the crown unless I had tooth lengthening done.... not for just one tooth, but two teeth at $1699 EACH. That is $3398 on top of the $2898 I had already paid. I should have demanded a refund right then and there. I knew something was off but I still wanted to see what the endodontist had to say about it. The next week, during the root canal Dr. Nadji refused to do the post and core when asked by the endodontist if she was ready for me. (A post and core is common practice especially on a molar. Hence why he was asking......) When I asked the tech why, she turned her back to me and I was told it was for "healing" but that I could come back the next day at 8am. I was being sent home with a hollowed-out tooth with a thin temporary crown covering it that could fall off or break at any time. Destroying what is left of my tooth in the process. I knew this was wrong and not common practice. I asked for a refund immediately for what was not done but already paid for. I have received excuse after excuse as to why I can't be refunded. I had an appointment for 4pm, and am not the easiest dental patient due to a strong gag reflex. Despite warning the staff of this, I was pushed to the point of vomiting while they were trying to get x-rays. The dentist was condescending, arrogant and clearly eager to end her day. The rest of the staff was apologetic and kind in their interactions with me. I left this office feeling embarrassed, exhausted, and most importantly, untreated. I visited her in the past. Didn't make a difference to me if she gives you a written quote of not, she changed the quote mid stream and I left her. Remember it's all about her. I'll never return and suggest others to look closely at her business practices and prices. She still owes me a refund. There are many options in our area. Interview the dentist first and if they appear to be too busy to take time to talk with you and hand you off to one of their employees there is something wrong. I contacted Dr. Holly Nadji's office for a free consultation since she was in my Delta Dental network and I need to have a tooth extracted along with 2 dental implants put in. I visited 2 other dentists that week within my network as well, overall Dr Nadji was twice as much as the other 2 Dentists and she would not match my in-network pricing as the other dentists offered. What really gets me is this visit was presented as a "free consultation" so I was surprised when they billed my insurance for hundreds of dollars on x-rays which I already had. When I called and spoke to Dr Nadji she told me by law she had to bill my insurance company when I came into her office, which is not true per Delta Dental. She also offered to pay me the money "since it seemed to mean so much to me", when I agreed she became very rude and hung up on me. I tried to call her back and her office manager said she was busy and would not be returning my call. Needless to say I already filed a grievance with Delta Dental since this is insurance fraud so she can deal with them on who is right or wrong. read more

I am very afraid of the dentists. Had terrible experiences before. I relayed this info up front. I was greeted by the wonderful receptionist and she assured me I was in good hands. That day I was in severe pain. I had exrays and an exam. Then taken into the Doctors treatment/payment office. I was informed that my teeth and gums were in bad shape and shown photos that really scared me. We then discussed treatment plans. I was to have a deep cleaning that day and with my insurance paying quite a bit I still had a 440$ co-pay which included sedation. I got to the back and the assistant really didn't seem to know how to set the room up. I started to feel uneasy and like they were short staffed which the dental hygienist told me she was supposed to have an assistant. The sedation machine was not fitting properly and the device for suction kept gagging me. Again the hygienist said she should have had an assistant. I was not relaxed at all and continued to experience pain. When I left I was told I would be given a call the next day any given enough medication for the pain until my next visit for an extration. Neither happened. I feel I was taken advantage of and feared into this procedure that was not like any deep cleaning I've had before. I am disputing this with my bank because I feel I was taken advantage of and not given the service or care as promised. I'm on disability and can't afford to not get what I was told I would. The pressure and fee that's given is not fair. read more
