Service good, billing accuracy poor. For 3 visits I was assured the estimate would be accurate and usually within $10 of insurance; After the work I was billed nearly $250. When I offered to cover half, they said no. Don't rely on their estimates, call your insurance yourself. read more

Going on ten years with this dental office--everyone from the capable, friendly receptionist to the hygienists to the dentists to the scheduler / accounts payable is skilled at their jobs. I have come a long way in caring for my teeth in the time I began with this office. My cleaning appointments no longer terrify me (or hurt), now that I know how to properly brush and floss. I am a retired dentist and my wife and I just moved to Oregon. On the recommendation of many, I went to Holly Street Dental b/c I had a crown that had come off. They took care of my emergency right away even though they had a busy schedule already. I then scheduled for a check up and saw Dr. Langford and the staff again. I have had a busy practice myself and have been an instructor to dentists for years. This office staff is outstanding. They are concerned about and take care of all the precautions we are currently facing with COVID 19 protocol. They are friendly, personable and are experts at what they do. There is an atmosphere of camaraderie and professionalism that you don't see in most businesses these days. Dr. Langford took the time he needed to gently and thoroughly review my necessary xrays and examined my situation. What a treat to be evaluated by someone who is not in a hurry to get to the next patient!... Same with all the staff. I was not over-diagnosed with 'work' that didn't need to be done. I know this attitude of caring for your clients is old school and it comes from the top down. I also found out that many of his staff have been with him for 20 or more years. This also doesn't happen often. I know all of this happens because of one thing...Integrity. If you are looking for the right dental office, this is it. A little over a year ago I switched from my old dentist to Holly Street dental since I had moved and it was closer. A few months ago I had a crown break and went to see them. I was told that because the crown was only 3 years old that my insurance would not cover a new one and I would have to pay out of pocket. I assumed that 3 years was too long to be able to go back to the old dentist to ask him to honor his guarantee so I gave the go ahead to start the work. Meanwhile I wrote a letter to my previous dentist to let him know I was not pleased with a crown that only lasted 3 years. Dr Langford had already started the prep and ordered the crown when I got a phone call from my previous dentist saying they would replace it at no cost to me. I contacted Holly Street dental and they were able to stop the process since the crown had not been made yet. I asked them how much I owed them for the work they had already done and was told that I didn't owe anything, that the price was for completed work and since it hadn't been completed there was nothing for me to pay. I was stunned since Dr Langford had already done a considerable amount of work to prep the tooth but they insisted I didn't owe anything. They have earned my loyalty, not only for this incident but also for the work they do and friendly and professional manner in which they conduct their business. I had Dr Hagler as my primary dentist for 22 years. I was there as a patient from age 11 under my parents insurance and began bringing my own family here as an adult. I actually attended the area schools with his children. My parents still use him and my children had him as their first dentist at a very young age. Even now, although we are no longer in the area we gladly make the commute, (even though its 45 minutes,) for our biannual dental care. Not only is he gentle, but this office is honest and so is his staff. A true gem in this day and age, in the area of medicine and business. I have no problem recommending this office for all levels of dental care for any age. read more

Although I was not a current patient (Dr. Hagler had been my dentist decades ago), I was welcomed in, last minute, to address an infection that had erupted in the bone beneath a tooth, which was causing excruciating pain. Despite it was merely days before Christmas, & there were probably a million things each of them had to do, Dr. Ballas, her assistant, Tracy, even her receptionist, Gina, remained more than an hour after posted closing time (& likely even longer than that). Yet, never, for one second, did I feel I was being rushed, that I was an inconvenience, or that I was getting anything but the very highest caliber of care. Dr. Ballas was exceedingly detailed, patient & thorough in her communications with me & her approach to my care, & comfort going forward. I received the same gracious, caring & conscientious treatment from each member of staff, throughout, from greeting to discharge. The receptionist, Gina, even called me the following morning to ensure I was still doing well, & generously offered their availability should any complication or discomfort arise. Dr. Ballas & her staff were genuine & committed, & treated me as an individual. I cannot express my gratitude for this kind of care, when I know well the other end of the spectrum from those, in all areas of medicine or business, who happily charge high prices for much less than high quality in return. read more

Certainly well intended staff but Dr. Langford was one of my worst experiences in 15 yrs. Not the best with numbing shots (always needed more to relieve pain) and his communication skills with patients was below average - I ended up paying well beyond the estimate due to the office not conducting a valid pre-authorization. At the end of the day, OK place for minor fixes but would recommend trying elsewhere for more than routine dental work/repairs. read more

I have been going to this dental office for 17 years now. It is the best dental office I have ever been to in my entire life! The office staff is fantastic! They are friendly and caring. The hygienists are gentle and friendly. Collette, one of the many great hygienists on staff, is fantastic! Dr. Langford is my dentist and he is pleasant, gentle, kind and very thorough. Have been using them for at least 30 years. Had started with Dr. Hagler and when Dr. Langford started with him. He always gives me my options and it isn't just the most expensive. Pat has been my hygienist for many years and is super, never painful I always look forward to having them cleaned! Everyone is so personable and friendly.They all really listen and care and take that extra time to answer our questions and explain things. We have 4 kiddos ages 5-13. We have no kiddo anxiety when going to Holly Street Dental for cleanings or procedures. Our kiddos actually look forward to their visits. This has not been the case for other dental offices we have been to in the past so we consider ourselves very lucky to have been referred to Holly Street Dental. Dr. Hagler seems to be a great guy. His inspection was good. My fiance raves about him. I made an appointment for a cleaning. Instead, they gave me an inspection. It would have been cheaper to stay with my dentist but I didn't realize the price this office quoted me for the cleaning was only for the inspection. Then there is the cleaning and the cleaning fee after the inspection. Another trip, another fee, .... me thinks not. Take your time and communicate in detail and you probably won't have this kind of surprise. read more
