I adore going to the movies, so when our local theaters re-opened after being closed for covid, I was there to support their reopening. To accommodate "social distancing" they have adjusted their online ticket purchasing so that when you buy "a ticket" you actually get the seat between two empty seats on each side of you. This is a cool system, in theory. So I can't blame the theater for: 1.) When I was moving across the row to my seat a seated client said, "Are we in your seat?" which means they were NOT in their ticketed seats. 2.) Three movie goers came in after the movie started and sat down directly in front of me, which is not possible since seating is for every other row. They obviously were not in their ticketed seats. However the theater appears to be doing a good job with wearing masks and gloves, cleaning the bathrooms and trying to keep their clients at appropriate "social distances", I can't blame them for "non-compliant clients". read more

Movie experience was less than it could be. The theater was warm this is the second time I've run into this at Cinemark. Also during quiet times I could hear the movie next to us. When they Revamp this theater I should just fixing the air conditioning and Omar soundproofing. I will be checking out other venues for movies. read more

This IMAX theater is tremendous. One thing is that it's considerably smaller (in seating) than other IMAX theaters I've seen (but VERY comfortable but not that many seats). In fact, the seats border on luxurious (by movie theater standards). The basics are covered- ample & fresh concessions (although short handed at times), clean facility, friendly staff, etc. Acoustics are also well done. The volume is not too loud or too quiet. The best flick I saw was "The Dark Knight" and all I can say is WOW!! Imagine that film in IMAX. Plenty of parking and close to some decent food should you want to eat after the movie. If you come from the city, no matter what highway you take (I-55 or I-88), get off on I-355 and go to 63rd St. Then go west to Route 53 (about a mile or so or go two lights west, the second light will be Route 53). Take a right at Route 53 and go about 1/2 mile north (you'll see a closed Krispy Kreme but the building is next to impossible to miss). read more

This IMAX theater is 300% nicer than the one at Navy Pier. It seems a little bit smaller, but the seats are cushier and taller (so you can lean your head back). It is waaaaaaaaaaaay cleaner, has more than two registers at the concession stand, restrooms inside the IMAX lobby (not a thousand feet outside the theater entrance), and offers a more intimate IMAX visit (if any IMAX experience can be considered intimate). The theater staff is always friendly, which makes it awkward when you get to the ticket window after waiting for an entire paleolithic period in the ticket lines (translation - ticket lines can be quite slow - buy online and save your patience). The only con --- it's waaaay down southwest on I-55, then Route 57. Ok, not that far, but probably a good 45 minutes away from the loop, up to 75 minutes during rush hour / heavy traffic. read more

My wife has a gluten intolerance. If she consumes anything with gluten, it causes her to throw up and have a debilitating migraine for 24 hours. Additionally, she has other associated symptoms that I'll not discuss in this public forum. My wife and I had occasion to see a movie this morning before breakfast (we both had not eaten anything). As the previews were rolling, her knowing look told me she wanted popcorn. Like the dutiful husband I am, I fetched a large popcorn for both of us to share. Neither one of us thought popcorn wouldn't be "safe" (that is, who puts flour, barley, oats, or wheat in popcorn???), however, my wife is now sick after consuming ONE thing all day: The glutenous popcorn from Cinemark Theater in Woodridge. If there were a legal remedy, we would pursue it. Alas, no such remedy exists. I tried to call the theater to discuss this situation with the manager. Instead, a very rude young-sounding woman would not allow me to speak with the manager before answering unnecessary questions. So, enjoy my 1-Star review, and don't eat the popcorn if you have a natural intolerance to gluten. These guys will make you sick. read more

Real Imax with giant screen and 3d sound. Nice concession stands and great price. $7.75 on a weekend afternoon for Imax is unbeatable.

This is a REAL IMAX, not a lie-max like at AMC in Naperville. Friendly cashiers (quick & respectful), comfy seats, clean showrooms, and clean restrooms. I have always enjoyed my experiences here; especially the TDKR opening night at the 2am show, just a great atmosphere. Also what I love about Cinemark is having Classic Series. read more

My husband & I have been going to this IMAX theater as its the closest IMAX near us. We had been very happy with the recent choice in purchasing assigned seating. However the most popular seats E14 & E15 are showing extreme wear. Today was the worst. The cushioning is non-existent, the chairs now recline too far back and to be honest... it kinda smelled. Coupled with the chilly air conditioning - it really turned us off. Management should take a very serious look into rehabbing the seating. God knows when you're sitting for 2 hours in IMAX, you should get premium comfort - I don't care if its seperated from the regular screens - and with the reserved seats, you know where optimal viewing is. Please. Fix. The. Seats! read more

Spent time with the little ladies in my life today! We always have an awesome time when we come to theater. We came in to see Goosebumps & they loved it! They love being able to go all the way to the top & run down. We also like the way that the arm rest come up so that we can sit even closer together. The concession stands are pricy but all concession stands are. Great time as always read more

I usually go to the AMC in Hodgkins for IMAX, but decided to go somewhere different this time. Definately a good decision! The screen is HUGE. And while it doesn't have as much seating as the IMAX in Navy Pier, it's cleaner and has better seats. I will be going here from now on for IMAX. read more

No refills on $5 soda. The IMAX is nice and the popcorn does offer refills in 'bucket' form (better then a collapsing bag that the other chain offers). The hand driers in restroom just about require getting on your knees to use if you are a full height adult and are low powered, but they are cleaner restrooms and not dribble water sinks, but actual flow water. read more

This is a good theater to see a show. The place is remarkably well kept and the staff is really friendly for being a suburban theater. They also do an excellent job of crowd control when the place gets really packed. The concession staff need to have a little more sense of urgency though as the line moved ridiculously slow. read more

I saw Dunkirk here a 2 weeks ago. It was fantastic. The picture and sound in Imax is amazing. The snack bar lines were short and the staff was great. The only negative I would say in the Imax theater the rows are very long so if you get a seat in the middle it's very difficult to go to the bathroom stepping over a lot of people to get out of the aisle. I would suggest sitting on the end seats or close by. read more

Be very careful about how you find out show-times. Flixter and similar services might be wrong. They seem to want you to use theirs. They have a REAL IMAX theater, like the one at Great America. If you want to see a show in IMAX, this blows away AMC, Marcus, Regal, etc. Otherwise, it is about the same as any of them. When I want to see a real blockbuster, I travel quite a distance to get here and find it worthwhile. The theater is located in a small, outdoor mall setting, with a variety of restaurants to suit almost any palette. Get there early, lines form for the IMAX shows. read more

This location is tidy enough and the employees are friendly. It seems a little run-down and it's odd that the restroom inside of the Imax portion is only a two-seater. At our last visit to this location, the managers did a nice job of explaining and keeping under control a potentially bad service situation when, after the movie had started, it suddenly stopped. Apparently this location has a film Imax, which is a rarity, and something needed to be restarted. It was less than 5 minutes' delay but the manager came out three times to keep us updated and gave everyone a free ticket as they left the theater. I've never had that happen anywhere before, so that was well-done. In general, an average theater but good customer service. read more

Didn't like the IMAX Theater picture and sound was not as good as others I been too, IMAX Theater was dirty popcorn all over the place, What ever happened to cleaning theater between each show and my wife went to the women's restroom no toilet paper and towels. The theater was a little to warm where my 3D glasses would keep fogging up with sweat. Theater is outdated! I been to this theater years ago and it's gone down. I will never return and don't recommend this theater to anyone. read more

OMG! I finally went 2 c Avatar in 3D and I dont know how other people saw this movie in regular D. It's such an awesome movie! 2 coworkers and i actually took 10 of our students here 2 c this and they loved it as well! The screen is HUGE and seating area is spacious! There were so many people already sitting when we walked in, so we separated from one another. I like the stadium seating and the back cushion seems to go higher than usual movie seats. There are separate bathrooms for the IMAX section, but not enough stalls in them. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed my experience here. A few of my kids and I shared some popcorn and was blown away by this movie! I would definitely come back to this location if i wanna c another movie in 3D! read more

I bought my tickets online and picked them up at the ticket kiosk, super easy and definately recommend. We went Saturday 6/20 for the 7:30 pm showing off Jurassic World. We arrived at 6:45 and headed toward the IMAX theater line, which wasn't too bad. Getting there early is highly recommended for a better selection of seats, but it does suck to wait in a wrapped around line with nothing to do...but it was worth it. Theater employees announced that it was a sold out show and every seat would be filled. Seating began, it was really helpful that they had two entrances into the auditorium, made for quick entry. We had pretty awesome seats, audio was great, picture quality was awesome. Had a great time with the family. read more

sooooo expensive to go to movies these days, ehh? This place is always clean, the crowd isnt too obnoxious, and The sound and video are always sharp and clear. I just cant belive movies cost TWICE what they did when I was in high school... which is probably the main reason I just dont get out to the movies much at all anymore. read more

I bought my tickets online since I was seeing Mockingjay part 2 on opening day. Tickets were very reasonable and easy to purchase, as well as pick up in the theater. I got to the theater about 20 minutes before the movie started and easily found 4 seats together. Concessions were a bit annoying because combo prices are not listed so you have to ask. This was a very night Imax overall and will definitely be returning for future viewings. My biggest complaint would be the volume of the film. I was almost being assaulted by the sound, but I suppose that is in part since we were seated close to the screen and partly because it is Imax. read more

Great place- service is always nice and workers seem generally happy. It is a clean theater and the pricing isn't that bad.... It's a good $50-60 date. They always have movies at 12am on the release date and that's kinda rare this days. read more

Just saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens here. I love that the IMAX is one of the larger true IMAX screens and not the small widescreen cutoff kind you find at the nearby AMC. Very well kept and friendly staff. Overall a great experience! read more
