I guess no one in the salon is aware of the app, Translate! The ladies are constantly complaining and degrading of their customers. I've been 5 times. My first time was absolutely amazing. I often bring someone with me to treat them and enjoy a few hours of conversation. Tanya is perhaps the worst nail tech I've ever encountered. I've been a licensed nail tech until I left to care for my folks. I see what they do to the customers who pay their bills. If you so much LOOK less than what they believe to be worthy you will be touched roughly.... The pedicure water temperature is too cold or too hot, the too hot towels placed on the legs, no care on how short the nails when cutting them , nipping the toes, not applying the necessary amount of glue, lacking proper hygiene, not preparing the nail plate, weak nail tips, rough sanding, and not under the heat lamp long enough between coats. The list could include some other items to consider. What they charge is another issue! Return for repairs is for you to pay. They have been at that location a while and many have worked for years at that location. It was when I wore boots and a miniskirt they reacted to me. Yet, Tanya, was wearing a miniskirt. Said I was too old. I will never return. I'm sure they have their regulars to get by. Its seems a business would appreciate their customers and what positive reviews. I've been getting my nails done here for at least 10 years; I no longer live in Tulsa but usually go when I'm here for the holidays. Hollywood is a bit of controlled chaos- Wan (the owner) somehow knows everyone's names and what they're there for but doesn't write anything down- it's truly incredible. Several years ago I left a coat there and called a few days later to say, "did someone leave a navy jacket a few days ago?" And Wan quickly said, "oh Sara I was waiting for you to call! We have your coat!" I realize that this has been a review of Wan, but I will also say that I have ALWAYS been happy with my nails from here and that I will often forgo getting my nails done in my current city so that I can go to Hollywood instead. read more

Every time I invest in getting my nails done I decide I should do it more often. Having this convenient location may assist in that decision! Yesterday I went in for a mani/ pedi. I usually take in my own polish to places in fear of scarce or way off-brand polishes at most salons. You won't see me doing that here -great array colors in OPI and Essie. $15 for a mani/ $25 for a pedi is super reasonable in this clean space. The staff was cheerful and so kind, too. I saw they offer other services such as shellac and waxing -again, all for a reasonable price. Here's to keeping my cuticles groomed! read more

This is one of my favorite places to get a shellac manicure in Tulsa. My manicure always last at least a week and a half. I have short nails and every time they make them look great. Some of the employees are sassy, but overall very nice and helpful. It is in a great location, near downtown. This makes it convenient to go on my lunch break or after work. Never go on Fridays if you are in a hurry...you will always wait in Friday afternoons! Newly remodeled. read more

Went to this nail salon for my birthday because it's a mile from my house and my mother in law wanted to surprise me and my daughter with mani and pedis before my birthday dinner. The nail techs that did my daughter and mother in law were nice and perfect! But the tech I had was rude and rough. My mother in law asked if they had refreshments, she ignored her so I asked for her and she looked at my MIL and with an attitude pointed at the mini refrigerator. Then within the start of my pedicure she is super rough with me, my nails were bleeding from how she was cutting my cuticles, I have never had that happen before. Then get to my nails she, with an attitude, asked me if I wanted my nails done too? And seemed like it was a big deal too her. Didn't ask how I wanted them, tried to hide the fact that I'm literally bleeding while she's doing my nails. Horrible experience for me, my mother in law and my daughter was taken care of just fine and I wish I could give them more stars but the person I got and how she handled me deserves a 0/5. Was wanting to find a salon that was close to my house but I will continue to drive the extra miles to Luxe. read more

Horrible Horrible powder nails!. My nails were bad! The pink was completely see through and you could see the white of my real nail underneath. There were bubbles in the pink color. My nails aren't even the same shape! One of them has a dip in the middle and some don't even go straight but instead turn to the left. One of my nails actually bent downwards and wasn't the same thickness as all of the other ones. They all don't have the same square shape and some are more rounded than others. I went in at the same time as somebody else, and got sat down before them. After about 15 minutes the other person started getting their powder nails and still ended up done 20 minutes before me. Just watch out before you get your nails done here, I talked to the other person, and their's was see through and had bubbles too! read more

I've always had long nails and I know how to treat them and have never had any break before. This was my first time getting them done at Hollywood. At first thought my nails looked nice and I actually really loved them, even though the lady who did them acted put out the whole time, huffing and puffing and making little annoyed noises all the while talking about me to the owner. I asked her 2 times before starting if she was sure she could do what I wanted, she said she could.. I was still nice to her, trying to make conversation so my whole experience would at least be decent. The pedicure was the worst pedicure I've ever had.. she got up in the middle and ate lunch, leaving the hot towels on my legs to get ice cold I didn't get a massage and she barely touched me at all and paid for a $50 pedi and $75 for my nails. She also got nail glue all over my phone screen and said she couldn't do anything about it. My nails started cracking below the quick SIX hours after getting them done and I spent 2 hours in the chair. I left for California the next morning to go spread my grandmother's ashes, so I could not go to get them fixed the next day so I called up there to let them know what had happened. The owner, Ouan gave me a number and told me to text her photos and my venmo because I asked for a refund.. So I did, I also told her I was out of town for a week, so she knew that(this will come in to play in a sec). I continued to send pictures throughout my trip as they continued to Crack and break, with no response from her whatsoever. Iafter really looking at them, I noticed how extremely thin they were and the very poor quality and workmanship. There were big dips where they should be the strongest, where the cracks were. I then asked for a refund again. I got home from my trip 7 days later and called up there the next morning. She told me she never got any pictures from me at all and bc it had been a week she wasn't going to refund my money and at this point I have FIVE broken nails. Some ripping my natural nail back below the quick. Fing ouch. It hurts. So I go up there to prove to her that I have been sending texts and pictures the whole time I was gone, she proceeds to argue with me and tells me I will not be getting a refund. The lady who actually did my nails comes over and starts arguing with me saying I said I liked them(which I did at the time until they all started breaking SIX HOURS AFTER I GOT THEM DONE) At this point I am pretty angry. Then the owner proceeded to tell me I was texting the shop number and not her cell number. She never gave me her cell number, I typed in the text message with the number as she was giving it to me on the phone while I was out of town. She deliberately gave me the wrong number so she could say I never text her. I tell them I am not leaving without a refund and actually was going to start coming up there everyday until they make it right. It was wrong how I was treated and the owner was talking bad about me to her client in her chair RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE. I ended up getting my refund of $75 after literally having to cause a scene to be heard. Very long story short, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! read more

I have used this place many times and I'm usually happy. Today I took my elderly mother in to get her nails done. She moves slowly and has a hard time getting around. When it was taking her awhile to explain what she wanted, the woman (who I believe is the owner) rolled her eyes and looked away. She wouldn't give us the time of day. I have been going to Hollywood Nails since I moved to Tulsa in 2015! It's the absolute BEST nail salon I've ever been too. Everyone of the staff is awesome & has so much attention to detail to make your nails & experience perfect. They offer a Deluxe Pedicure too which is out of this world. This is a must! I love the owner because she does whatever it takes to make her clients happy! She is also extremely patient... I usually pick several colors and want a special shape. She spends 2 hours on me if needed! The customer is their top priority. If you haven't been to Hollywood nails, you must asap! You'll be so happy you did!! read more

They've done a beautiful job with my nails and really give a spa experience. I appreciate the attention to health codes and infection control as an RN who works on one of the local COVID units. I'm glad that they insist on masks and/or face shields for their customers. I'm staying at home now to protect others in case I get a work exposure, and anyone who medically cannot comply with a face shield or social distancing needs to protect others as well, even if they don't understand to protect themselves. Today I went in with an appointment and the woman that sits up front who owns the shop completely ignored me and spoke to another woman that walked in behind me . I did not like the treatment I received she continued to ignore me I eventually said hello and she act like she didn't see me a young lady from across the room came and told me the young lady that was to do my nails was not in today. I said thank you and left. I don't recommend this place based on the fact the customer service is horrible and the fact that I made an appointment that was not accommodated. read more

I'd grown tired of my usual salon and their increasingly sloppy and sometimes painful work. On a whim I tried Hollywood and was not disappointed! Yes, there was a short wait as the salon was fairly busy for a Monday evening but It was worth the wait. I was treated to a wonderful and thorough (and painless) mani-pedi and at a cheaper price than my former salon, the staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. I love Hollywood Nails! I have been going there since 2011. They are really nice people, the place is clean & comfortable, the prices are low, & they do a great job. They recently redid their salon and expanded, and they have 2 large flat screen TVs. (I once watched an OSU football game there while I got a pedicure & a shellac mani.) I always just walk in, & my wait has never been too long. They have many services, but I mainly go there for UV cured shellac/gel manicures. I'm not at all delicate with my nails, & I would have to retouch "regular" nail polish every single day. Shellac lasts me 2 & a half to 3 weeks. They have well over 50 colors of shellac/gel polish from different brands including OPI, Harmony Gelish, CND, LeChat, etc. A shellac manicure on natural nails is $25 + tip. Once, the day after I got a shellac mani, I shut my finger in the dishwasher door (ouch) & it chipped one of my nails. I went back, & they just fixed it for me for free. Awesome! [About shellac/gel: A special base coat is put on the nails, then 2 color coats, then a special top coat. After each layer, the hand is placed under a little UV lamp to cure the polish while the other hand is painted. After the top coat is cured (1-2 minutes), the nails are sprayed with rubbing alcohol and rubbed with a paper towel. The nails are then completely dry. You don't have to sit and wait at all! You can go back and pay to have the shellac removed with special professional wraps. Or you can remove it yourself by soaking them in acetone remover & peeling the paint off. One of the worst pedicures I've had. I live in Dallas and am in town for a wedding. I used to come here often when I lived in Tulsa so a friend and I met up to get pedis together. Maybe it was because it was 6:00 (they close at 7), but we both left very unsatisfied. Our heels ended up very rough (I don't normally have rough heels), I was bleeding at one point from clipping too close, the massage was poor and the girl kept walking off in the middle of mine to answer the phone or talk to someone at the door. It was not a relaxing or pleasant experience like a pedicure should be. They have expanded since I lived in Tulsa but it looks like they need to expand their staff as well. Everyone seemed rushed and preoccupied with the amount of people coming/going. I don't get pedicures often but next time I'm in town I won't be back. read more

The past few times I've gone to Hollywood nails the staff has been abrupt in manner, borderline rude which makes it not a very pleasant experience. Of course I always wonder if somehow I did something wrong but I try to be extra kind to brighten their day but I don't believe it's well received. Could be just bad days that I came in, we all have those. I have been going to Hollywood Nails for years. I try to always be kind and provide a nice tip. After my last visit; I found it necessary to find a new salon. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. The technician had removed my shellac polish from my fingernails during the pedicure and when I got ready to move to the table for my manicure she told me that I was going to have to wait almost an hour for the manicure. They had taken several clients AFTER my arrival and they were being worked on. I ended up leaving with no manicure and unfinished fingernails. I've been here three times now and I have to say all three experiences were not good. I was met at the door by the lady sitting at a table doing someone's nails and barely looked up to greet me. I was waved to an area on the other side of the room and then really wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit in a chair for a pedicure or not. I waited over 20 minutes sitting in the chair while other technicians walked around and talked. I almost got up and left the last time. I would not recommend. read more

The newly remodeled space is clean and the new massage chairs are the icing on the cake. They all work very well. I recently had a female pedicurist that I've never had before and she did not use cuticle oil before cutting cuticles and massage was halfway done but I've heard good things and had good experiences with both Tony 1 and Tony 2! read more

This place SUCKS. I made an appointment a day in advance for 2 pm knowing I had a very busy schedule. It is now 2:40 pm on the day of and no one has helped my friend at all. And I was directed to a pedicure chair where my feet were blistered into hot, scolding, lava. My feet are now SOGGY and pruny as a MF'er. They are very understaffed. My other friend just texted me that her nails are circles. She wanted a full set and she is not happy with the outcome. I hate this place so much. I'm in misery. Went to Hollywood nails for a pedi yesterday. Two thumbs up! i had to wait about 10 minutes to get in the chair but there was a good, up to date magazine selection. The chair was comfy and the water was warm. They have a very nice seaweed scrub that they use and the guy I had was very thorough. My feet are looking good! And it's only $25! I learned on the way out that a mani/pedi is only $35 - usually I think a mani is a waste of money cause it never lasts but for $10 I might get one next time. Definitely will go back! read more

Still searching for the right spot to get my nails done in Tulsa. This spot is on the top of the list so far. They did a pretty good job, the space was clean and everyone was really friendly. They don't have a huge selection of Essie color but it's better than any spot I've found here so far. The prices were ok - $15 for a mani or $35 for a mani/pedi combo. My only qualm is that they mentioned the wait would be really short but I still waited almost 30 minutes for a mani. I guess it's good that they are busy though! read more

I stopped in here for a quick brow wax. I had heard good things about the nail services but didn't try any out. I thought the place was kind of shabby compared to a lot of other nail salons around (cough:: Posh Nails ::cough). My brow wax was done in a little side room with me sitting in an office chair and the lady kind of leaning over me awkwardly from the side. I think the wax itself was fine. Nothing good or bad to say. The weird thing came when I went to check out. My wax was $10, and I offered the lady my credit card. She asked if I had cash, and I told her I didn't. She asked again if I had cash, telling me they had a "credit card minimum." Then she said since I didn't know about it, she would run my card. I apologized and asked her how much the minimum was so that I would know next time. She told me not to worry about it, but I felt like she was being shady and asked again. She still wouldn't tell me what this supposed minimum was. I looked around and saw no signs about a credit card minimum. She never would tell me what it was. In my experience, credit card minimums are around $3-5. A $10 charge (plus my $2 tip) really isn't something a nail salon should be balking at. I think the lady was just trying to get cash out of me, either as tax-free income or to avoid whatever Mastercard charges. They do a decent job and have good prices, spa pedicure is only $25. I love he salt seaweed scrub and my feet always feel better coming out.
