After meeting with the owner Daniel, his confidence and knowledge were undeniable. Contract signed, began working with Devin that week, lots of patience and advice getting us to an executable CAD drawing. Not pushy, really felt valued, Devin listened to our concerns / preferences and got us to a simple and geometric design we loved. The build went wonderfully, from excavation to pool fill - the program management and critical path was on point. In additional to the pool, we included two cement pours outside the coping to support a future grill and lounge area - fantastic workmanship. This review is about 10 months late, I share that because we recently had a minor issue - and without question, 1st choice returned and made it right without hesitation. Finally, a tip of the hat and the biggest thank you I can render to Estrella. Estrella was the front office interface, she was always 100% positive and professional. Her email / phone call response time was seconds not minutes and that is not an exaggeration. Responding to my questions on schedule, material inquiries, adjustments - Estrella was the liaison that brought it all together. They are also a small business. For our design, we wanted a simple rectangle with a Baja step and umbrella holder, and later adjusted to add a waterfall. They were so helpful every step of the way. I was nervous about the pavers and turf in my yard getting ruined, but they did a wonderful job protecting it all as best as they could. Their timeline was also very realistic, they showed up when they said they would, and all of their contractors were friendly. I really have to credit Tim, the project manager, he set the expectation and explained what the yard would look like in the interim, the timeline, and how everything goes. I'm noticing some of the reviews are mentioning a mess or trash but it's a construction zone, so expectations are really everything here. When all was said and done, my yard was clean and put back. The office manager, Estrella, is wonderful. She was so responsive and helpful whenever I had questions. They also walked me through financing, which I had never done before, they provided information and helped to point me in the direction of who they've found to be the easiest to work with. Overall, they did an outstanding job and I am so beyond happy with our pool and the job they did, it's perfect!

BE AWARE THAT…read moreE-KONOMY POOLS HAS PURCHASED OTHER POOL COMPANIES IN THE TUCSON AREA! -Be sure when establishing service with a new pool company that it's NOT owned by OR associated with the owners of E-KONOMY!!! -Let's begin with my 80 YEAR OLD DISABLED widowed mother who used E-KONOMY Pools and was taken advantage of. -Charged for chemicals not used -Paid to have pool drained, power washed, tiles cleaned and PROMISED that this special tile chemical they charged her extra monthly for would prevent the calcium build up from coming back! Well you guessed it! It came back to which E-KONOMY Pools response was that they "didn't guarantee it wouldn't come back" and stated that the pool tiles weren't being maintained! WHAT? She paid E-KONOMY Pools for weekly service including brushing the tiles and pool, chemicals and services which were ALL part of the job and maintenance she was promised! -E-KONOMY Pools stated they would be happy to come give her a quote to have her tile cleaned...again...WHAT? Yet E-KONOMY POOLS has NEVER missed a monthly withdrawal from her account! Not to mention she hasn't been able to get into her pool for years-but just wants to keep it beautiful and maintained. -Ring Camera recorded Technician entering her backyard and leaving 10 minutes later. Once again not brushing pool nor checking chemical levels. Pool left with algae growing on sides when inspected. SHAME ON YOU E-KONOMY POOLS and your ridiculous excuses! What other Elderly and Disabled persons are being taken advantage of by this company? Unbelievable and absolutely not ok! Then there's our pool: -EVERY SUMMER...EVERY SUMMER- Pool Technicians falsifying documentation related to services rendered (and verified as falsified by Supervisors following up that Technician had lied). -Being told when lodging a complaint with E-KONOMY that GPS showed Technician at our address for 30 to 40 minutes. That is until our cameras showed Technician parked out front of our home for 20 minutes on their phones then coming into backyard for 10 to 15 minutes of service which showed them NOT brushing the sides, nor testing the chemical levels, nor backwashing which are the services we pay for on top of chemicals. -Now don't get me wrong-Fall, Winter, and Spring there's really nothing to do except check the balance...during those months we haven't expected nor asked the Technician to backwash except maybe once a month if needed but yet we pay the same amount all year. Not a problem-BUT do the job when we really need it during the SUMMER! -Camera recordings of Technician lowering pool water level then taking a picture and sending it to the company stating "water level in pool too low to backwash" so he didn't have to do it. -Been charged TWICE in one month for services and over charged for chemicals. -Continuous company turnover -Asked NUMEROUS times for quote on sand replacement for filter and NEVER received a response. These are just a few of the FRUSTRATING events without writing a book! We all work hard for our money and expect to get services agreed upon-not with this company where you're having to beg for good and fair service! I guarantee you that the owners of E-KONOMY Pools wouldn't put up with the service their customers receive.

Let that sink in: I was considering paying this company $80,000, and this is how I was treated. It was arrogant, cruel, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be chastised or made to feel "less than," especially while dealing with a life-altering medical crisis.
