Best markets ever! Sorry they closed their smaller one nearer to me on Maple rd! Did shop the other two and loved them.!

I have been shopping at this Hollywood Market for 13 years now. The prices have become ridiculous. I like to buy organic veggies and today I couldn't even buy a head of organic cauliflower because they were trying to char$8.99!!! The average price in Michigan for organic Cauliflower is under $5. Hollywood is going broke right now and trying to keep a float by over charging their customers. I used to go there because of convenience and the prices weren't that bad. Now I can't even run there if I forget cheese because it's so overpriced. It's very upsetting that this company is taking advantage of their customers. read more

Meat is really good quality and cuts. Best part of this store for sure. I've had good, fresh produce, but several items are pre-packaged and my preference is to select each item myself--can't do that here. The only awful item were seasonal chestnuts. At $10/pound you'd expect they're good. None were good. Some food items I'm pleasantly surprised with. Like other raters, they have one rude longer-term young man cashier. I try to avoid him. Overall a pretty good small grocery with mostly good items. I go there with modest expectations. read more

Love the quality of meats at this supermarket!! I drive 30 mins to come here for the great selection and awesome customer service. You just can't beat it. The deli, seafood and meat counter is old school where they will cut and package it the way you want. LOVE IT! read more

2 stars is for the NOT so friendly employees at checkout. Most of them are downright mean spirited. I don't expect the brightest people at grocery stores but management should put in training in basic human etiquette. read more

This place has been here for years, and my mom got me going here after I moved home. It's a combo of good and bad here, so I gave it three stars to be fair. For starters, the store isn't half bad. The staff is friendly and helpful, I never have to wait in line for very long, and they do have one awesome meat and deli counter. I find that I come here mostly for random items, but if I want meat this is the place. The guys at the counter are hilarious and have personality, which makes it all that much more fun to get stuff from them. I like that. Sometimes stores get so wrapped up in professionalism, that the personality of the staff gets buried in corporate regulations. They also have daily specials, a great selection of produce, fresh deserts, and breads, which is nice. I find some cool stuff here, and that's what keeps me coming back. On the down side? NO pharmacy! I don't need the pharmacist per say, but I was there this morning to find claritin and I don't think they have a drug isle. Bummer. Also, with all the big box stores having been upgraded, I feel like shopping here is a step back in time. Is the store clean? YES. Does it feel like 1982 in here? YES. Hard to explain, but it feels dated. Clean, but dated. Also, sometimes you get a weird crowd in here if you go late at night. like zip your purse weird. Anyways, the store overall is a okay. I walked into this place a little worried. I'm used to the super-megas like Meijer and Kroger, but this place is right up there. It's pretty usual grocery fare. Nothing too weird though, but if you need to pick up a few things for a BBQ, this place is great. They have a nice meat counter and the prices are good. The staff sets this place apart, they're happy to get into a conversation with you and act more like your friends than people who just take your money (like your friends do). read more

Hollywood Supermarket - a car parked in front of the store - Grocery Near Me - Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Hollywood Market is one that I don't shop at too often, mainly because I have my habitual favorites for certain items, but I do watch their ads and stop in for sale items occasionally. I have always found their produce to be good quality. They are conveniently located near the post office where I check our PO Boxes 2-3 times per week. The staff there has always been friendly and helpful whenever I have questions or can't find something. To me Hollywood Market is a good quality reasonably priced market. read more

We used to make fun of this grocery store when we first moved to Michigan. I'm not really sure why. We rarely set foot in it. Opting for Krogers, Papa Joes, some other bougie market, or Costco. As I've come back to Michigan in my adulthood I've come to realize this is a fantastic freaking market. Or at least it grew into one. I don't know what my little snot ass was thinking but they have one of the best craft beer selections I have ever seen in my entire life and at phenomenal prices. You can also do a create your own 6-pack but note that it is only for certain bottles and you can't pull apart pre-made packs. I have tried this once and I don't even live here anymore but note that I got scolded. They also sell a plethora of wines. I think that's generally mostly what I have come in here for and odds and ends. Bakery selection for breads isn't too shabby. Frozen stuff and canned goods, looks like a decent selection of produce. Haven't a clue on their meats/poultry/seafood but that's always a fun gamble. read more

Okay, so Hollywood as a store isn't horrible. Sure their produce isn't the greatest but it's not that bad. I am mainly rating based on the insanely rude cashier that openly made fun of me to my face. He wasn't even my cashier but the cashier in the lane next to mine. Pudgy 18 year old scruffy kid. Sure you can be a teenager and make fun of people but don't do it in front of their face. Like literally in front of their face. I was a cashier for about six years and I know you do not behave like that. He basically called me fat to my face in a way of saying that all of the food I was purchasing was unhealthy and then he rolled his hand around his stomach. Then he went on to make fun of my signature in front of me and while I was leaving I heard him start to talk to my cashier and her bagger about it. I have horrible social anxiety and this just made it worse. I called the manager to complain but I'm not 100% sure if he's going to do anything about it so I just wanted to make sure other people knew that if you want to be insulted by a teenager this is where you need to go. read more

What a nightmare. Way too overpriced for the poor quality produce and mediocre items. Their produce is to the point where it should be tossed, it's completely rotten.The employees are rude and unprofessional. Every cashier I've had has given me weird vibes. There's one cashier who won't double bag your items, even if you offer to pay for the extra bags...so of course when I get home, my bag rips because they couldn't simply double bag my heavier items. Stay far away from this place and go the extra 2 miles to Kroger. read more

Their lemon pepper rotisserie chicken is out of this world delicious. The prices of some groceries do seem a bit higher than Kroger, Meijer and Walmart but overall it is clean and the food is as fresh as one can expect. read more

There is no denying the quality of the meats at the meat counter and the great service that the staff provides there and the produce is great too. But there are some cashiers at the front of the store who are completely unprofessional. This is just an example of poor management. I get that being a manager is tough because you can't change a person's attitude, but if your cashiers are going to openly talk smack about customers in front of other customers then it's time to write some of them up or fire them. I understand that they don't make much money, which is probably something that they think justifies their poor behavior. If someone doesn't like his or her job, then they need to find something else to do. Here are three examples of times when I witnessed some of the cashiers being unprofessional. My dad and I were at the checkout with a young man, maybe 18 or 19 years old, who was the cashier and he was ringing up my dad's purchases when another customer walked by. I noticed he was staring this man down and the customer was looking right back at him when the cashier exclaimed, "Man, I'll beat yo' muh f***in' a** if you want to act like that! Don't be coming in here looking at me like you're gonna do something." This is a direct quote from the cashier's mouth-I remember it vividly because it was so incredibly shocking. Granted this was a few years ago, but I can't over look it when I have had more recent terrible experiences with some of the other cashiers. A year ago I went to Hollywood to pick up a few items for my parents and there were two young ladies working at the cash register-one as the cashier and one bagging groceries. Everything was going great until a man walked by and as soon as he was out of earshot of the two employees, the cashier said, "Who's he think he is-walking around like he owns the place?" The girl bagging groceries said, "Thinks he's the king of everything." Then six months ago I went back to Hollywood, to my displeasure, to pick up a few bags of ice for my parents. The cashier this time was a sage old woman who was talking to everyone around her except for the customers that she was ringing up. She was forcing advice on the teenage boy who was bagging groceries and giving her opinions openly to everyone who could hear about how the cash register doesn't work properly and how the customers should have done this or that. The boy bagging groceries said hi to some of his friends who walked by and the sage old woman laid this gem on him: "Are those friends of yours? They don't work? Something's wrong with them. If they're old enough to work-they should be working. We can get them a job here and teach them a thing or two." The boy didn't know what to say and quite frankly I wanted to leave and not purchase the bags of ice because it was an uncomfortable situation. This woman genuinely believed that she knew everything and everyone should listen to her advice. It felt like I had come into contact with a real-life female version of Saruman from The Lord of the Rings. These interactions cause me to avoid this location at all costs. read more

The main reason to shop here is the excellent meat department. The quality of the meats is much better than you find in most of the big grocery stores, and most of the employees there are very helpful. In addition, several are very knowledgeable about their meats. The store also stocks a decent selection of produce and other products. read more

Fantastic staff. Usually not too crowded and easy to shop. The meat and deli section is one of my favorites. I feel they could be a bit pricey and odd how they package the produce, but in all a great neighborhood market. read more

Good service and a very impressive assortment of baked goods, salads, and unique deli options. Not close to me, but I will go out of my way to shop there again. Feels more specialized than Kroger but at a lower price point than plum. read more

Excellent neighborhood grocer. Kroger's is OK. I'm not against them. But I'm not a big fan of buying groceries from the big box stores -- Target, Walmart, Meijer. Everyone here is nice and helpful. You can actually talk to the butcher about what you need. Prices are reasonable (though I know the prices are better at Walmart). If your living township large, you won't let the big boxes drive out the mom and pops. read more

Was so happy to discover this store. I found it because the Skinnypop website said they had the product. I called to be sure and when I arrived the manager had pulled exactly what I needed (30+ mini bags) from the shelves and had it waiting for me. He was incredibly helpful as was everyone that I encountered in the store: the meat counter person, the man stocking the shelves and the lady who checked out my groceries. I found very good produce and fantastic meat. I loved being able to find everything I needed without spending so much extra time "zombying" through a huge store. read more

Returned some moldy butter this afternoon, and didn't get a warm reception, didn't even get a "I'm sorry sir for the inconvenience. Sorry you had to drive back to the store with an unacceptable product." The manager (or assistant mgr.) just looked baffled by the whole thing. Hollywood, I don't need you. I can go to Meijer, Busch's, WF, Kroger, Fresh Thyme, etc. You need me. I like your milk and meat selection, but your produce and general grocery section are mediocre and over-priced. One more incident like this and I'm done. And if you're wondering, I opened the butter the day after I bought it. The mold didn't come from my fridge. read more
