The bus bays always seem too small, and I hold my breath as the driver takes the turn wide to slide in between the low curbs. People waiting seem too close, but somehow they dont get hit by the nose of the bus as it pulls through. Only here for a moment, get on! Get off! But then if someone is running from the MAX, or the other bays, the driver always waits. Sometimes I hop off and visit Trader Joe's across the street, then jump on another 77 to finish my journey. Everyone rides the bus. The guy in the suit, the woman in the wheelchair, the sane and the slightly insane, the stoned and the sober, the happy and sad. Which one am I?

My first experience with this transit center was met with homeless sitting on the stairs asking for change as well as a significantly late max train. My second experience was met with many more homeless in the area, sleeping on the street corners and preparing signs for the day. You have to take stairs up and down, which is frustrating when taking multiple bags to and from the airport. This station has nothing on Beaverton Transit Center. It is in a convenient location, but I'll only be using it when absolutely necessary.

My partner and I…read morehave been taking an aprox 3-4 hr round trip bus ride to work and back together, across Portland, on the amazing long fx2 bus and the 15 bus, for the past several months. My partner used other busses as well for day to day errands. We've seen everything on our bus commutes, from screaming mental health cases to drug addicts yelling while pounding their fists on their own skulls, to nonstop to outright bloody fistfight brawls right in the front area of the bus. Most of the passengers are perfectly well behaved but there was at least one troubling situation, if not 2 or 3, daily on these bus rides. Every politician who's running for office should endure a few months taking the bus back and forth across town if they are ever sincerely interested in what's going on in the cities that they want to help. They'd be happy to close the borders promptly and take care of the people who are already here needing help. Seniors, veterans and a gigantic mentally heath and drug addiction crisis. The bus drivers all deserve awards for the service and courage it takes to drive a city bus. Day or night. I mainly can vouch for a soft spoken but assertive older lady w short dark or silver hair, who drives the 15 bus in the morning commute hours, she is a superhero, even stopping the bus one time to ask me if I was okay as it was an extreme bad air, wild fire smoke day and I must've looked extra alarming walking along w my walking stick, she let me know she could call for help if I needed it. I assured her I was totally okay but I was dumbstruck by the kindness and mental strength of her as well as many, many of the other busdrivers I've encountered off and on through the years in Portland, especially tho these last few months. We are soooo gratefull for the Trimet busses! Keep up the good work!

I use a ride share app myself but for my client's first ride alone I opted to call Radio Cab because it is what the concierge at her community uses. The Radio Cab dispatcher was laughably rude. He angrily refused to give a driver ETA "I have no way of knowing! I don't want to lie to you." I explained that my client was a sight impaired senior citizen and told the dispatcher that she was anxious. He responded with another impatient retort. After waiting with her and her dog for one hour I gave up and installed Lyft on her phone. Nine minutes later a kind driver appeared in a beautiful, spotless, well air conditioned (it was 90 degrees outside) car. My client's Radio Cab arrived 45 minutes later, almost 2 hours after I called. Two weeks ago I received a frantic call from a resident at the same facility who was stranded at her bank after waiting over an hour for her Radio Cab. I was with another client so she had to be rescued my the community's medical transport car. How is Radio Cab still in business? Starting tomorrow, I will be helping residents install the Lyft app and giving one on one instructions to help them become comfortable with this far superior option.

We bought the tickets and boarded the car from upper level, entrance right next to OHSU Hospital. Ticket prices were $9 for round trip. The tram was really popular for locals, especially for the employees working at the hospital. The upper terminal had multiple lookout spots to see the city skyline and also up close watching the tram heading to the lower terminal. As we started heading down the hill, we saw stunning view of the city's greenery, houses, buildings and Willamette river. In the horizon, we could also see the snowy Mount Hood. The ride was about 5 minutes. At lower level, everyone had to exit the lower level terminal. Then we used our round trip ticket to enter the terminal again and board the same car. At the lower terminal, there was a huge parking stand for bicycles. Trip from lower to upper terminal was little longer, took about 8-9 minutes. Being a sunny bright day, we absolutely loved the short round trip for such a decent price.

The older I get the less I want to drive especially after dark during these cold, wet months. I grew up in Boston where using public transportation is the norm. Trimet used to be absolutely terrible and in many ways they are still not all that great. Two snowflakes sends the entire system into chaos. It's common to be on a bus and get kicked off to another bus for no apparent reason. And the bus you are waiting for will show up and immediately change signs for some other route. In most cities, this NEVER happens. You stand at an intersection easy walking distance from your home and in ten minutes or less a bus comes along. The bus takes you to a subway stop or a bus terminal where you can transfer to your final destination. Routes are laid out in a logical order and you don't have to study a map to figure out what bus to take to get where you're going. Trimet routes appear to be laid out by lunatics who were way too free with drug use. Getting back to WES and the Tigard TC. Nice terminal. It's open air so not that pleasant if it's really cold out. But at least it's a shelter. The WES train is pretty noisy but comfortable and FAST! Under 15 minutes to get to my destination. Would have taken over an hour going by bus. WES runs fairly frequently. I wish it didn't stop running to Beaverton so early but it is what it is. Ridership isn't that great so that route is probably a money loser. I'm happy that Trimet is finally upping their game. There's still the obligatory mentally ill rider on every bus and train so they have more work to do there. And there was some aggressive antifa type swinging around numchuks in a threatening manner at the Sunset TC so your personal safety is still a serious concern. But I'm seeing more security and fare inspectors so at least Trimet is trying.

I called the cab company and the dispatcher that I spoke with sounded like he was half asleep. I told him about the experience I had and all he could do was make excuses ( and if the dispatcher happens to read this, yes; I know you heard what I said about your excuses; THAT WAS THE POINT!!! ) He proceeded to tell me that the driver didn't smoke. I am a non smoker and know what they smell like. He told me that someone had puked in the van and that they had shampooed it twice. It's apparent that they did nothing. If they would have, it would not smell like it does. The floor mats in the back were filthy. I asked the dispatcher to have his boss call me. He said that he would transfer the message and that the owner would call me if he felt like it. This is by far the worst cab that I have ever ridden in. It was beyond disgusting and so was his nasty attitude
