The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. The choice was an Uber, which would not have worked for our situation, or a luxury car service. Hewar was wonderful from when I first called him to arrange our trip. He was attentive and patient, even when I called him multiple times with questions. The manager, Rasheem, met us at baggage claim. Our driver, Zhieco, was professional and friendly. He helped us get our (very heavy) luggage into the hotel. On the other hand, the company I called first did not give me a chance to explain why we needed help at baggage claim. As soon as he heard that, he immediately said he couldn't help me. He threatened to post my phone number online when I wrote him a one-star review. I was shocked. I would've taken it down, regardless, because I don't post bad reviews. So, I was especially glad to talk with Hewar on my second phone call. I highly recommend Elite. If I ever need a service like this again, I will for sure call Hewar.

Called again, and a week later, I finally got a call back, yet no message was left for me. When I called back, a younger man answered the call, appeared very rushed, stated he had been out of town, and that he would get me a contract as soon as possible, that was 3 weeks ago, and still no contract as of today. I'm not quite sure what to think. Maybe, $700 is pocket change to them, and they don't want to waste the time and energy on us. I will take it as a sign, I guess my money will be spent better elsewhere. If I could rate them as a "0," I would.

Each station has a ticket machine, which were all down for some reason the weekend we were there, but you can always tap to pay with your phone when you get on. It's an honor system. We tried our best to abide by the rules, but as with most of these kind of public transit, a lot of people don't unfortunately. According to their system map, they have three different lines. Two lines cross the river to the East side of Portland while the other goes from North to South of Portland. The ride was like $2 valid for 2.5 hours.

Yes, it will cost you more than an Uber/Lyft basic or maybe premium but well worth it for these reasons. Vehicle- We had a very nice, clean and newer Suburban/Escalade. Additionally, traveling with a family of 5, with luggage, has often left us with cancelled (by driver) Uber/Lyft, XL and Black options, depending on the size of the vehicle we randomly got assigned. Portland Black asked and therefore ensured the right vehicle was assigned to accommodate. Driver/Service - Leland, our driver arrived early (both at home and airport - used our flight number to track early arrival to PDX) - loaded up our luggage and handled each with care (unlike the do it yourself with most Uber/Lyft options). You could tell this guy was a pro so safety and comfort couldn't be better. Cost - You pay for what you get (not that Uber/Lyft are bad) but if reliability, comfort and safety are important, I highly recommend Portland Black Car.

They've installed these new seatbelts, so a big metal piece sticks out of the middle of the two seats, making it super uncomfortable. Seats are worn out. You can't even stretch out sideways if no one is sitting next to you, because of that seatbelt metal piece. Air conditioner was on at night, so the bus was freezing; bring a blanket if you are traveling at night. And barely any leg room; it made coach in airplanes look spacious. These buses need a renovation, because they are super worn out looking on the inside. We got there on time and safe, that's all I can say.
