Let me tell you about Tanco Creations Jewelry, and trust me, it's a story worth hearing!…read moreSo, my jewelry was looking pretty neglected , because it had been Naturally, I did what any self-respecting human does: I hit up the good ol' Google machine for "jewelry shop in Weatherford." Tanco popped right up, and little did I know, my accessories were about to get a serious glow-up. First contact: The phone call. I braced myself for the usual stiff customer service voice and probably a hidden fee for breathing near their establishment. Instead, a voice as sweet as a glass of iced tea on a hot day answered. I asked "Do y'all clean jewelry?" Im half-expecting to hear about a gold-plated cleaning fee. Her reply? "Oh, we don't usually charge for that!" Hold the phone! That's awesome. "But... I have a ton of jewelry," I confessed, picturing my entire collection of sad, dull rings and bracelets. "Just bring it in!" she said. Folks, that's what we call a genuine "come on down!" moment. Walking into the store, I was fully prepared for the aggressive sales pitch, I'm from Dallas, the homeless man at door is trying to sell you something. Instead, I was met with a warm, "Welcome! How are you?" Not a single soul tried to push a sale, suggest an upgrade, or even hint that my current jewelry situation was a dire emergency. It was just pure, unadulterated, friendly hospitality. Then came the moment of truth: I proceeded to unload what felt like a small mountain of jewelry onto their counter. I mean, enough sparkle (if it were clean) to make a disco ball feel insecure. I fully expected them to look at me like I'd just handed them a bag of rusty nails and then present a bill that required a second mortgage. But nope! They calmly took everything, meticulously cataloged each piece, gave me a timeframe, and sent me on my merry way, told me it would be around 20 bucks since it was so much but shouldn't be more then 50. There was a bracelet that needed a touch up... she then gave me two pieces of Hershey's chocolate (yes I believe it's better then the French stuff) and told me she'd call me in a couple days. Just as I was about to skip out the door, a thought popped into my head. "Hey," I mumbled, feeling a little sheepish, "could you maybe... size all of this for me? I'm actually planning on selling most of it." Now, this is where most places would probably give you the side-eye and then quote you and remind you they don't work for free, we will need an "expert appraisal service." But not here at Tanco! With a smile so bright it could outshine any diamond in their display case, she said, "Well, of course!" Zero hesitation. Zero judgment. Just pure, helpful awesomeness. I did take a few minutes to browse around, and seriously, their jewelry is absolutely stunning. When I'm finally in the mood to buy something new instead of just cleaning and offloading my old stuff, you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be heading straight back to Tanco Jewlery. They've earned a customer for life, not just because their pieces are gorgeous, but because their service is genuinely kind, incredibly helpful, and just plain wonderful. Do yourself a favor and go check them out. Your jewelry (and your stress levels) will thank you.

Not to mention very friendly ladies who make you feel welcome in the store, and treat you pretty much like family. Nowadays, it is very hard to find a store with employees as nice as these ladies were... And at the same time a store that delivers superb quality and value. A special thank you to the ladies in the store today!

They lied when I confronted them. They're the only ones that had their hands on those diamond earrings and all I wanted was them to change the post to a screw on post and when I picked them up, they were two different sizes two different colors, and of course, at that point, I couldn't prove it, but they know, and I know the truth and the fact that other people have complained if you have a complaint, you should file with the police department so other people aren't taking advantage of! I just wanna express how disappointed I am in this Weatherford, TX location. When I arrived, I was…read moreNOT acknowledged or even greeted. I walked up to the Pick Up counter. And then two white girls walked in shortly after me, and Janessa (I believe that's how you spell her name) said hello and welcomed them. Not once did either of the older (white) ladies at the counter tell me they'd be right with me; they just acted like I wasn't there. Then this younger (white) girl named Cydney came out from the back who also saw me and looked past and greeted the girls and immediately went to help them. Cydney then came around near the area I was, and I told her, "Can you help me? I was actually here before those girls," and she was going to ignore me, so then I said, "Ma'am, hello? I've been waiting a while now for someone to help me long before the girls you're helping" and then she said, "I'll be right with you" and proceeded to walk back to the other side, but I guess she processed what I said and came back to help me. Then she asked me what I wanted, and I told her I was just picking up. I told her it's sad that I walked in here and no one greeted me, and then those other two white girls walked in and they DID get greeted. Then you come out and ignore me too and go straight to helping them. And she was like, " I'm sorry, we're just understaffed today." And I told her "No that's not why; I see exactly what's happening here! I'm being treated poorly because I'm not white, and that's wrong!" And she didn't know what to say so she ignored me and went to get my bracelet. I then asked her for her name and the other two women, but she only gave me hers and Janessa's. She asked if I wanted to wear my bracelet out (and I did). Then she finished the experience with "hope you have a better day," which was even pettier and unapologetic. I am beyond disappointed and degraded. I really hope James Avery works on the people they are hiring. Because this is a place that I've always held to high standard, not just because the founder was prior military but because they claim to a Christian store who (doesn't discriminate) treats all of their customers like family. If that were true they wouldn't have belittled me for being a Hispanic. This issue needs to be addressed immediately because I would hate for anyone else who is not white to feel the way I did that day. No one should be treated any less because of their skin tone, at the end of the day we are PAYING costumers. Date was February 5th, around 3:30 p.m./4 p.m. at the Weatherford, TX located 116 E I-20 Ste 140.

Ever since then, every visit to TX we get together and get a new charm. It's been a new fun tradition. This last shopping trip I got a bracelet for my granddaughter through their promo.
