I purchased an Armitron watch and l love it so much, however it was a bit loose and needed a link removed. I tried removing it myself but was unsuccessful and called around and found this hidden, family jewelry shop. They completed the link removal in under 15 minutes and didn't even charge me! Ok so while I was shopping for a necklace I didn't know anything about it but all i knew was the style i want it. I have been to several different jewelry places and they were just trying to sell me what they thought it was good for me. But at Grissom's they listened to what i wanted.. i wanted something that wasn't too flashy but i wanted a heavy weighted gold chain. They recommend a 14k which i didn't know what that meant but they explained how gold is soft etc, they gave me several options to choose from. Ultimately i found the one i really liked and ordered it from them. I had to wait few days. They gave me a call when the necklace arrived and I was surprised how detail it was and how heavy the necklace was. At the end of the day they were the one who wanted to listen to me and recommended me certain style that I was looking for. While others just wanted to sell me whatever they thought it was right for them. I will be back here as i want to purchase a bracelet for myself and it was because mainly of their customer service and willing to listen to whati want it. read more

Hands down the worst jewelry experience I've ever had. I went to have a pendant made, and they told me they'd have it done in a week, just before my birthday. A week goes by... nothing. So I called. They told me they were running behind and to give them another week, fine, so be it. Another week goes by... still nothing. So I called once again. Just like last time, they were running behind so they needed another week. 2 months go by... nothing. So I tried to call three separate times to just cancel. They never answered the phone. So I went to Troy Vinson's, who actually made the pendant in less than a week. Finally, I get a call from Grissom's saying my pendant was done. I told them the situation, and their response was "ok," and they hung up the phone. I suggest to everyone, GO TO TROY VINSON'S!!!!!!!!!! read more

This place looks like a Pawn shop and a cheap motel decided to have a jewelry baby. It's dirty and dusty and their stuff all looks like it's from a 1999 clearance sale from JC Penny's. There were few if any watches and I was told Patrick could get some. Ugh ok? I buy a lot of jewelry and I can't believe anyone would go in here. Very nice people, but with how much mark up there is on jewelry how about doing some remodeling or at least wash the grubby glass and vacuum? The people were very nice tho. Like most pawn shops are. Maybe they are closing and if that the case do it quickly, you're embarrassing your family name. read more

Patrick and Michelle are amazing about listening to what you want and carefully explaining the entire process. They can design and build anything you can dream up AND also have complete respect for your budget. Called ahead of time to see if they could fix loose settings, was assured they did. Dropped by to identify problem, was greeted rudely by the lady at the front, then told to wait "in there", but clearly was interrupting their business. Same woman gruffly took my ring and walked into a back room---without explaining the process to me, and took my ring out of my sight for a time that made me uncomfortable. I expected the jeweler to come to the counter, and was surprised by this situation. When she returned with the ring, I said I was nervous about leaving my ring, mostly because of the abysmal customer service I had received, and because when one drops off a ring whose value is high, these are normal questions for a new customer. If you are nervous, she told me, I don't want your business. Go back to where you bought it, and it's filthy. She proceeded to tell me she had millions of dollars worth of inventory, and why would she steal my ring? I had never accused her of theft, but asked instead the store policies, looking to be reassured, not insulted. I am a college administrator, and acted professionally during the entire exchange, I can't say the same for the store. read more

We wanted something stylish and different for a wedding ring and heard about Grissom's Jewelry on hwy 580 in far west Ft. Worth. The store is in an older building but easy to find, it's next to a vintage record shop. For me the inside was different, not like most chain jewelry stores I had visited where the selection is very repetitive. At Grissom's the displays were smaller but the rings all looked to be one of a kind and had a distinct style. We told the manager our budget ( low ), that we wanted something a little different, and we wanted gold with small diamond. He quickly helped us narrow the selection to two sets, both very nice. We picked a three piece set; the center ring is pierced gold in an x's pattern of small flower leaves with small diamonds in the leaves. On each side of the main band is a narrow band made of white gold with very small diamonds. All for less than $2000 !!! - we were very happy!! The service was great, ask for Patrick. read more
