A Florida restaurant right on the water with great views and good food? Yes, please. Crazy About…read moreYou is nicely appointed with a bit of charming quirk woven into the decor. I stopped in for lunch after a work meeting and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. I needed a "steak break," so I opted for the "I Can't Believe It's Not Carbonara"--and I have zero noodle regrets! The zucchini substitute combined with a delicious carbonara sauce meant there was no concern about the lack of traditional pasta. The zucchini more than filled the role, and I certainly appreciated the caloric savings. The chicken was also well-cooked, flavorful, and moist. I especially loved the tableside delivery and the unique touch of being served directly from a colander. The order isn't huge, which I appreciated, it felt the right size for lunch without weighing down your afternoon. Now, there were likely no calorie savings with the Serrano Ham Croquettes, but they are small and easily shareable if you want to spread the love. They are a true step up and a legitimate treat compared to run-of-the-mill mozzarella sticks. The decor kitsch continues right until the end--the check arrived in an old-school lunchbox! The staff were great throughout the meal, making for a seamless and enjoyable lunch.

From the moment we sat down, our waitress was warm and attentive. I wish I'd gotten her name. She made great recommendations that were all delicious. Is a simple but effective menu with starters included with the main dish. Great value for their portions. We had no complaints about the food and the drinks were just as good. The restaurant is very well managed and organized. It's a beautiful location with gorgeous views of golden hour.

First things first: if you want their Spanish tortilla with chorizo, you have to order it ahead of time. Same-day they usually only have the regular tortilla available, so plan ahead -- and trust me, it's worth it. Thick, soft, perfectly layered potatoes and egg with that extra smoky chorizo flavor that takes it to another level. A true comfort dish done right. Their tortilla is one of their staples for a reason. We also ordered a variety of croquetas: jamón serrano, queso manchego, camarones, and bacalao. Honestly, all of them were good (and I mean all), but the bacalao croquetas? Wow. Next level. Super creamy inside, crispy outside, packed with flavor -- easily my favorite of the table. And because it was Mother's Day, dessert was mandatory. Everyone ordered something different: flan with almond ice cream, crema catalana, Basque-style cheesecake, and I went for the Tarta San Marcos. I'm not Spanish, so it was my first time trying it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's made with layers of sponge cake, cream, chocolate truffle -- but somehow it doesn't feel too heavy. It paired perfectly with a cafecito and was the ideal ending to the meal. The place is small, cozy, and very authentic. I hadn't been in a while, and you can tell they've organized the space better -- the wine boxes and market area feel cleaner and more intentional, and there's a little more room to breathe. Service was super nice and welcoming. Overall, La Vasca is one of those hidden gems where the food feels as authentic as it gets. If you're craving real Spanish food in Miami, this place absolutely delivers.

This place has an energy that's hard to manufacture -- warm, lively, and genuinely fun. When Argentina is playing, it's a whole different level. The kind of atmosphere where you look up and realize hours have passed. Fair warning: it does get a little hot in there, but I'd sit there dripping sweat before I'd think about leaving early. That's how good it is. The service matches the energy -- attentive, genuine, and the kind that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It's the full package. Now the food. I don't even know the name of the chicken cheeks dish, but I think about it. Whatever it is, order it. The entraña was cooked perfectly -- if you know Argentine cuts, you know how much that matters, and they nailed it. And then the dulce de leche crepe. I don't throw around the word incredible lightly, but there's no other word for it. Just get it. Don't leave without ordering the sangria either. It rounds out the whole experience exactly the way it should. Fiorito's is the real deal -- the food, the service, the atmosphere. One of those places you just keep coming back to.

The empanadas de choclo (filled with corn and mozzarella) were rich and full of flavor. For the mains, the churrasco was tender and served with cilantro rice, which felt unique and is not something I come across often. The mushroom ravioli was coated in a truffle sauce that I also really enjoyed. Overall, everything was a 10 for me, and I would definitely come back. One thing that stood out was the absence of alfajores on the dessert menu. Given how authentically Argentine the place felt, alfajores would have been my go to choice if they had been available.
