Cookie dough is one of my favorite flavors, and Holy Cow's is some of the best I've ever had! Decided to branch out a little and try the mintsanity and I'm so glad I did! Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong here - so many creative and delicious flavor combinations! Did I mention that the waffle cone was made fresh and was still warm when it was handed to me - just incredible!!!!! Do not go here if you have any allergy. I have been going here for a while with celiac disease and they were always so accommodating getting fresh scoops out of a fresh container to avoid cross-contamination. Not to mention the ice creams they label as gluten free are so good! I went today and was told they changed their policy. They can get new scoops, but they have to serve it out of the opened, already cross contaminated containers. They won't open a new container anymore. If you have any allergy just know that despite labeling all of their ice cream, noting which are gluten free, which have nuts, dairy free, etc., that everything has been crossed contaminated with the scoops they use for every single one with only rinsing them with water in between. I used to brag about how good this place was to everyone we knew and take them there, but that is officially over. I'm going to tell everyone not to bother going here as their new policy is a slap in the face to those with allergies who already struggle with eating out anywhere. read more

I am legit obsessed with this place! I'd already been to the Gloucester location, so when I was in Salem and realized they had another location there, I had to visit. Love the ice cream and sundaes here, but what is it with the attitude? I come here fairly often and rarely have a pleasant ordering experience. Last week I got a sundae and the young person and they put the butterscotch on top of the whip cream. When I asked them to take the whipped off and just resauce and whip it the said "that's the way we do it here". Huh? After about three minutes of back and forth they took the sundae , threw it in the trash and made me a much smaller one with the smallest amount of butterscotch. When I pointed this out they said, " I was being generous with the first one, this is how we are supposed to make them". Crazy mega delicious ice cream! Arrived at the Willows full of fish and chips but we split a two-flavor medium cup of Mintsanity and Nutty Butty anyway, and didn't regret a single amazing bite. They're very generous with the mixed in stuff, like regular and golden Oreos in the Mintsanity, and (somehow still crispy?) nutty cereal bits.
