Best preschool and staff around! We've had four kids go through there and wish we had more just so we can be apart of the school longer.

I'm relatively new to Bayside and I understand there's been recent changes to the ministry team. I…read morerecently moved to the area and went to several churches in the area which simply did not sit right with me in word or atmosphere. I went to a coffee shop at the Fountains working while I sat outside. My attention was peaked when I overheard two woman nearby speaking about thier faith and I resonated with what they were saying so much that I had to ask them what church they went to as I was currently looking for a new home church. They happily invited me to sit down with them and get to know them briefly as they told me about their church. Then I tried their church at Bayside Adventure. I didn't tell them I was going as I didn't want special expectedness. I went wanting to see the real people involved at Bayside & I was genuinely, tentatively impressed with such a warm, compassionate filled presence. I love that I'm not attending a rock concert in the dark! I love that the pastoral team actively encourages you week to week to follow along in your own Bible, not just expecting you to passively listen to them. I will say, you receive what you put out, if you want to get connected- connections are easily made. If you want to keep to yourself, no intrusion is put upon you. Ive been attending, skipped a couple weeks and each time returning to happy faces that genuinely seem happy to see me and continue to be welcoming. I highly recommend this church, the children's ministry is a huge part of this church too, welcoming families, singles, empty nesters, seniors, men, and women. I would easily say there's something for everyone.

That did not happen: Bayside leaders messed up big time - they did not say a prayer for Charlie Kirk's family or at least have a moment of silence to honor his memory - I left sad and heartbroken... My friends said even Catholic Churches recognized Charlie. Bayside worship leader and pastor did nothing to honor a great Christian who was martyred - I watched the memorial service on YouTube and was so touched... I haven't been to church for awhile, so the visit was truly disappointing- from worship being a performance (overly loud music, lights and video on side screens focused on drummer, etc), this was clearly not about Jesus. Too many inconsistencies in pastor's message, from saying there's true evil in this world and then saying that it's also in all of our hearts: speak for yourself dude... Pastor even joked that he was giving a Ted talk - yeah, it felt like rehearsed speech that he's getting paid for, I didn't trust his words like I believed Charlie Kirk; being a young man trying to find God - I was quite disappointed, didn't feel like this church cares about me.. At one point the pastor said that we're all selfish and our circle of friends are people who like us: does he want us to surround ourselves with people who hate us? Besides few welcoming faces at the entrance- no one came up to chat or cared enough to pray for me. I won't be back and can't recommend this church. I'm sure some churches actually practice what they preach- but not bayside leaders - they are woke liberals, as I'm sure many members are here... From 2005-2020, I served/volunteered and donated a lot of time and $$ to Bayside - no pastor ever recognized my service and donations(even Ray Johnston or Kurt Harlow whom I met) and I came to realize that this liberal mega-church business model is focused on raising $$, not care about people - it's truly a disappointing and heartbreaking experience. Mark Driscoll is right: the Gospel is going everywhere except the church - https://www.instagram.com/share/BAaI7MC-80

I've spoken with other parents in that class and explored the curriculum with the teacher, and can see that the kindergarten is doing such a great job of preparing the kids for elementary school. The whole school truly treats the kids with Christ at the center and the culture is so welcoming and caring. I personally love that they provide lunch and snacks. Parents also bring in snacks for the class about every other/every month. The place is clean, safe, and vibrantly decorated. They send pictures, videos, and updates to parents, maintaining transparency on what's going on each day. They have a big and little kid playground with bikes for the kids to get plenty of outdoor activities as well as a big gym the kids get to play in on rainy days. My kids have learned how to pray before meals, who Christ is, and how we are saved through him. I love that my kids are excited to know Jesus, learn Bible stories, and sing their Bible songs. The teachers have also met with us to discuss the educational and emotional development of our kids. I feel 100% confident that, thanks to the love and support of the teachers at centerpoint, my kids will be educationally, spiritually, and emotionally prepared for wherever we decide to enroll them after they graduate from centerpoint preschool and kindergarten.

We love the environment and the staff so much, we wanted to keep him here for TK and Kindergarten. Not to mention, the teacher to student ration is phenomenal. There is nowhere else he would be receiving such tailored instruction and social-emotional support. It has been amazing to witness my son's growth, both academically and socially, since he first started attending Centerpoint. Moreover, we have been so thoroughly impressed with the staff. They are truly some of the kindest and most loving human beings that I know. As a parent, I am going to miss interacting with all of them, as they really have been a home away from home for our family. I would highly recommend this school to any parent. If you have a child who is entering kindergarten in the fall, and you are apprehensive about large class sizes, this is the place for you!

At first, I thought this place was about genuine faith and community, but over time, I saw behind the curtain. Pastor Ray Johnston is constantly bragging about his massive home in Granite Bay. It became clear that donations weren't supporting the community or Christ-centered outreach, they were going toward funding this man's lavish lifestyle. It felt less like a church and more like a business funneling money to a celebrity pastor. Beyond that, Bayside has always leaned political, especially when it comes to pushing conservative ideologies, including stances against women's rights and the LGBTQ+ community. They preach culture war talking points more than the Gospel. And let's talk about the services, they're basically rock concerts with lights, smoke machines, and polished performances. It's a production, not a place of worship. It became clear to me that this was a mega-church more focused on image, money, and influence than on Jesus. If you're looking for authentic, Christ-like community and teachings rooted in humility, look elsewhere. I haven't stepped foot in Bayside in years, and I never will again.

The school gives my…read moreson everything he needs to be set up for success going forward and is continually upgrading their curriculum to meet the needs of the children and go beyond that. I personally appreciate that they focus on my child's social and emotional development as well as his academic needs with the ultimate goal of having a child who can enter high school not only as a strong academically, but as a confident individual who can be an independent learner, think for himself and know how to collaborate with others. Aside from the academics and personal growth, the school offers enrichment courses including Spanish, computers, music, drama, PE and art that are included in the curriculum. Because this is part of the regular curriculum, your child really has the opportunity to build on these extra activities since it is included in their program all the way through 8th grade. Another advantage of choosing a school like St. Albans is it is a small school, everyone gets to know your child very well (both students and faculty), which makes it a very comforting environment for your child to grown up in. You can be assured that no student will "fall through the cracks" at St. Albans and you will find that they truly want what is best for your child and will help them reach their full potential. The head of school always puts the needs of the children first. The school is very lucky to have her. She is intelligent, knowledgeable, hard working and very involved in all that goes on with the school. Mrs. Bernauer sets the bar high for both the students and the school, which is what makes St. Albans continually grow and meet the highest of educational standards. Our family feels that we have made the best choice in choosing St. Albans for our children's education. We have no doubt that this school is setting our children up to be the best, well-rounded individuals they can be.

A damaging experience I would never repeat…read more I am deeply sorry to hear that children are still having experiences similar to what my son endured at St. Albans more than twenty years ago. Our family's experience with the school could not have been worse. What we were told during the enrollment process did not match the reality we encountered. In addition to tuition, families were expected to make substantial financial contributions and fulfill significant volunteer-hour requirements. As a single parent, I was unable to meet all of those demands. As a result, I felt my son was singled out and ostracized--not by the other students or their parents, but by the school administration itself. My son was labeled "too active." In his class, I felt that boys were often judged more harshly for displaying normal childhood energy, while children who could immediately sit quietly and conform were treated as the ideal. Although my son was not expelled, I ultimately and willingly removed him because I believed the environment had become toxic and damaging to his confidence. In my experience, school officials were unwilling to work constructively with children who did not fit their narrow definition of the "perfect student." The culture felt arrogant, inflexible, and dismissive of individual differences. The academic expectations were also unreasonable. No fourth grader should routinely be assigned three to four hours of homework each night. I was also extremely unhappy with the poor-quality, unhealthy food served during after-school care. My strongest advice to parents is to find a school that leads with kindness, patience, compassion, and a genuine willingness to support each child as an individual. Based on our family's experience, St. Albans was unequivocally not that place.
