My experience at Holy family has been a blessing. Prior to coming to Holy Family I attended a coed school. It was difficult to attend a school with both boys and girls. Anytime I raised my hand to answer questions people would make fun of me. This is not the case with holy family. The students are friendly and the teachers encourage student participation. All the teachers are extremely nice and only want the best for you. All the teachers also take an hour out of their day for office hours to help you with any questions you might have. Holy family is also a very small school which means that you are not just a number, all the teachers know you by name and are able to tell when you may need extra help. My favorite part of Holy Family is that all clubs, extracurricular activities, and sports are all included in tuition! For our sports teams there is a no cut policy which means you can join a team even if you've never played that sport before, and if you're not interested in sports you can be a manager for a sport. This has allowed me to feel comfortable joining volleyball, asb, campus ministry, and ambassadors club. I also plan on joining basketball and softball during winter and spring. read more

Holy Family has been a tremendous blessing for my sister. I wanted her to go to my school, another all girls catholic school in the area, but she decided that Holy Family was a better fit. I believe that my sister made the right choice. She currently has all 4.0 and is involved in many after school activities. My sister was extremely shy in elementary school and seems to be coming out of her shell in high school, growing more confident every day. Recently, I had a chance to go to one of her volleyball practices. I was very jealous. I knew their coach was good because I have played against him for the past three years, but I did not know how good. He might be the best coach I have ever seen, besides Coach Angel. My sister is so lucky to have him as a coach. Volleyball is not her best sport and she probably would not have played at most schools. The no cut policy gave her the opportunity to be a part of the volleyball team. Now she is receiving great coaching and will improve her skills as a volleyball player. My daughter started her freshmen year at Holy Family during this pandemic. I was concerned about how she will cope up with online learning in a new environment with new classmates and teachers. To my surprise, she has adapted and excelled. I was impressed with Holy Family's organized plans of how to do online learning. I loved the schedule they put out including the Holy mass they have every Wednesday.. My daughter loves her classes and teacher's at Holy Family. I have never seen her this motivated or this excited to learn. The daily schedule she follows helps her organize her school work and helps her keep up with her homework. She is more focused and motivated to learn. She speaks highly of her teachers and tells me how much she has learned so far. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating. During the admission process, I saw first hand how kind and welcoming the staff can be. I love the family atmosphere and the values that Holy Family embodies. We chose Holy Family High School initially for its catholic faith-based environment. We were looking for a campus that demonstrated goodness, stability, respect, and recognition of the value of being human. We did not need to compromise on academics, sports, creativity or college as a goal. The instructors do not coddle, they challenge. The academics are solid. It is a small, serene, comfortable school. My granddaughters have changed in this school. They are more confident. They have dear friends. They find the administration and faculty approachable, supportive, and kind. They are able to be themselves. An unexpected pleasure was the sports program. Learning to be part of a team. Striving to become better through sports. Finding out how to accept defeat and victory with grace. This year the business entrepreneurial class has filled them with excitement and joy for the future. Holy family high school is safe place for your daughters to feel free to express there voice and discover there voice. There are many ways for your daughter to participate in school. At holy family there are many clubs that your daughter can join and each will help them get close with the rest of their school sisters, and they will go out and discover other people from other schools. What I like about holy families sports is that you never get excluded they will always give you a chance to continue to be part of that team. At holy family asb is a way for your daughter to show her voice and show her leader ship skills. Not only does holy family have excellent faculty and staff but they will also take the time to help you if you are struggling and they will try their best to help you reach your needs. Holy Family High School is a small catholic school that parents needs to consider for their daughters. We had our eldest daughter study here and with the development we saw in her, we decided to have our 2 other daughters study here too. The school is small but the academics are very good. They also have clubs where our daughters had interests in. They joined clubs like fashion club where they have an annual fashion show, ASB, & Key club. Through the years I've seen the improvements in their sports program although I wish they would have a better facility for volleyball practice. The school facilities are very clean. I do hope that the school gets larger in order to provide more facilities for the students. The teachers and faculty have always been very nice and very supportive. The school's focus on the character, faith, and education is really commendable. We believe what our daughters learned here have helped them get into very good schools in college. read more

Holy Family has been a perfect fit for our daughter. The small size and the caring staff and faculty has allowed our daughter to flourish in high school. She is involved in campus ministry, ASB, ambassadors, and multiple clubs. Her teachers are all really caring and are passionate about their jobs. One policy that my daughter loves is their sports no cut policy. This will allow her to play sports all year long and participate in sports that she would not be able to play at other schools. Our daughter has been able to take a computer programming class at Glendale Community College, which is the JC close to Holy Family, and will take more classes this spring at GCC. Yes, Holy Family High is closing. I went to high school here; and it was an outstanding education. I ALWAYS felt that I was given the skills to enhance my education. I was right because I graduated with honors from college, grad school, and from my doctoral program. I learned to study, developed critical thinking skills, and communication skills at Holy Family. It became the first choice high school for nieces in my family. It was always among Glendale's top schools; and its reputation grew over the years. The high school was in the process of expanding, so I wonder what the Archdiocese of LA has up its sleeve by closing the school when it has a thriving enrollment and money in the bank??? I attended HFHS and it was such an amazing experience. The friends I had in High School are still my good friends after 26 years. We still get together and remember the good times we had in school. I love the fact that I went to a small school because you knew everyone and all the teachers made such an impact my life. Honored to be a fellow Gaels. Currently both my Goddaughter's are attending Holy Family and I see how much they have grown. They have become more confident and want to make a difference not just for themselves but for everyone. HFHS is really helping the girls become strong independent woman. I would not be surprise if in the future we hear the President or Vice President graduated from Holy Family. We are blessed for the opportunity my daughter has attending HFHS. We considered several options, what most called my attention was their emphasis on getting students ready for college. She's is half way now. I am proud of the young girl she has become. I see, she has been inspired to pursue her college education, somewhere in cinematography, maybe. Great all girls High School! teacher to student ratio is better than public schools as class sizes Are smaller to focus more on the students. Staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Our daughter feel a sense of belonging to this school. No boys to distract her so she is more focused in her studies. First Year has been awesome and just re-enrolled her for the 2022-2023 upcoming school year. For those on tight budget, the school offer alternative options to get discounted rates. Holy Family has became a great school for girls to express themselves in so many ways. The many clubs at the school helps the girls find their way to express their creativity in a way they love. This school is well built around community and faith. It shows gaels independence in daily life problems and handling them with grace. I feel that I get to interact with my teachers on a one on one basis, something I could NOT receive in a public school because of the overwhelming amount of students.
