A true barber doesn't just cut hair, he/she honors time, discipline, and respect. Unfortunately, Elite Kutz has fallen short of that standard. Here's the issue: I had an appointment scheduled for 11:00 a.m. I arrived early, ready and respectful of the time. Yet I didn't get in the chair until well after 12:00 p.m. and even once I was finally seated, the barber repeatedly fielded multiple phone calls while servicing me. That dragged the process out so long that I didn't leave the shop until after 1:00 p.m. -- more than two hours of my time taken advantage of. An appointment is a covenant. If it's set for 11:00, the chair should be ready at 11:00. Otherwise, what's the point of scheduling? When a barber is late, the penalty should fall on the barber, not the customer. Making the customer wait an hour past their appointment and then prolonging the service with distractions defeats the entire purpose of booking. And charging full price for half‑respect? That's exploitation. A professional should absorb the loss, not pass it on. Time is currency. When a barber disrespects your time, they're stealing from you. A professional philosophy means valuing the customer's presence as much as their payment. Sadly, Elite Kutz normalized lateness and distraction, and it erodes trust. I'm not generalizing all shops, but I've noticed this theme more prevalent in certain establishments. It's not about race, it's about respect and time value. If you want to be elite, act elite. Honor the appointment, honor the customer, and honor the craft. Don't forget that word of mouth can make or break an establishment. Professionalism is expected. Without it, you don't get paid, period.
