A great dunkel and black beer
    Jonathan O.

I have loved Holy Mountain for years and was elated when I found out they were opening a second location. Phinney Ridge is a great neighborhood and a bit more accessible for someone who lives outside of Seattle. The decorations and vibe is more modern and done up than the Interbay location without losing the great music and staff that you expect. I'm case it isn't already apparent, I love their beer. The styles are less typical and executed with finesse and always have a great unique contribution.

Sweet spot in Phinney. Super modern and clean inside and good music vibes - not too loud, but not too quiet. Staff is knowledgable and not pushy. I'm not sure of food options but I usually just go to have a pint or two.

I have always been a huge fan of Holy Mountain for over a decade now and recently noticed they opened up a new taproom. For a Monday night, this place was pretty packed and they had about 15 beers on tap and about 5 or 6 different beers to go. Service was pretty good and the place was super clean. It is next to a couple of other wine bars. Although they do not serve food, you can bring your own. They also sell clothing, lighters, etc. This new location is about 5 minute driving distance from Chuck's Hop Shop.

    The fantastic La Vienna Especial!

Holy Mountain Brewing continues to be amazing and their Phinney Ridge taproom continues with the great quality of their beer. I have always loved their brewery merch t shirts and continously purchase them because they are so cool but also anticipate any issues with online orders to be a struggle and a slog to get it resolved as previous experience has generated. They don't call back with phone calls or emails so good luck with anything with that and hope that you live close in case you have to physically go to one of the locations to resolve your online order issues. The beer as good as ever! I had the La Vienna Especial which was a Mexican Lager at this taproom and simply loved it! The malty, caramel and dry flavor features are mastered to perfection like Holy Mountain does with anything they do. I love this particular beer and almost all of their beers which gives them five stars but expect a considerable effort to resolve online orders with merxh if there are any issues. Call, email, send messages on Facebook or Instagram or if need be physically arrive to make sure your online order is fulfilled if they are indeed in error!

Heard the new location opened up recently and being back in town just for the night I had to make a stop. Beers are amazing as usual and really like the layout of the spot. I liked that the seating options aligned for sizes from a single person (bar seating or high tops) small group tables, and longer tables for medium sized groups. Beer tenders were very friendly and with each person deciding what they wanted. Can't wait to get back and visit again

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Fish tacos were okay, nothing stand out, but doesnt really go with the drinks. Fried onion rings were crispy and good, and korean chicken bites were a bit too sweet but goes well with a milkshake LOL Good for large groups, but it's hard to get a table when the sun is out bc it gets that busy. Very social ambiance. Service was quick and efficient- you order and get the drinks, but they bring the food out to you. Very small lot next to the brewery but otherwise, it is mainly street parking alongside the way to gas works park.

A little too buttery though. The venue was large and delivered the view of the lake on a platter (but that is Seattle). The vibe was lively -- loud blasting music and a ton of people. But...not worth the excessive 45 minute wait after being in line for 15 min. We ordered right after our friends and while I sampled 2 tastes of beer, that took all of 2 min Our almost identical order to theirs came out 20-30 min after theirs. We went up 3 times to check where it was, because the first time (at least 20 min after our friends got their order) the guy told us it was 2 tickets away. More like 20 tickets since we watched order after order being delivered elsewhere... not ours. My husband went up for the second time and never got an answer. And so I went up a third time and was livid as another half dozen+++ orders went by. The frustrating thing is we paid up front and left a 20% tip on the worst food service ever. We have learned our lesson and won't do that again. Recognize it's not just the server it's the entire service...from what happened to our ticket, our food prep and delivery to our table? I doubt I'll make the effort to go back. Because I can pay the same $59 (2 single patty burgers, 2 beers, 1 fries, 1 onion rings) for similar or better food, fantastic views with much better service. Also, they knew but did nothing to make our experience better.
