FYI - Front area with two spots for parking should be avoided. Drive past the brewery and park in the back. Place is next to a rail yard so expect to hear loud rail yard sounds. Once you walk in it's a huge open area with plenty of seating and a large bar area. Service was quick and attentive. Food is either the dry mix of snacks for $10 or the pizza place next door. Beers on tap are listed on the wall or the sheet of paper. Tap, bottles, and cans available. Overall the beer was solid. read more

This is a great place to bring the family and a bag of takeout from Grillbird, and most of the beer has been great. I'm starting to think that we're not really Holy Mountain's target audience, though, for a few reasons: 1) no chance to taste the beer before you buy, which is half the fun 2) the place has been nearly empty inside whenever we go 3) the music is terrible, this last one's subjective, I know. And I've heard some good stuff (I think even Sky Cries Mary once, which impressed me), but I almost always hate what's playing when we go because it's so heavy and not great background for conversation. read more

Came here for a night cap after date night. Super excited to try it out the Phinney location especially since we love the Interbay brewery. The tap room was pretty empty especially for a Saturday night. We were not greeted as we walked up to the empty counter and had to ask for service. We ordered our two drinks, a glass of wine (4 oz pour?) and a beer and it came out to $46 with a 20% tip. A lot more than we expected to pay. Pretty disappointed with the service and overall ambiance. Very different than the Interbay location :/ read more

I have loved Holy Mountain for years and was elated when I found out they were opening a second location. Phinney Ridge is a great neighborhood and a bit more accessible for someone who lives outside of Seattle. The decorations and vibe is more modern and done up than the Interbay location without losing the great music and staff that you expect. I'm case it isn't already apparent, I love their beer. The styles are less typical and executed with finesse and always have a great unique contribution. read more

I do love Holy Mountain. Always have. Unfortunately my first visit to the Greenwood location was not what I expected. The beer-tender was cold and unfriendly. I said hello and was met with a blank stare. Once I realized she wasn't interested in exchanging pleasantries, I simply ordered the beer and that was it. I love hanging out at breweries. I love to drink pints, play cards, and chill. Unfortunately with the insufferable music selection, I cannot imagine many people want to hang out here for extended periods of time. While I'm sure there are people that enjoy loud, screaming, death metal, I'm fairly certain the majority does NOT. During the 40 minutes I was there, I observed that tables turned pretty quickly. Families with kids, older adults, and couples are NOT hanging around for much more than a round. The music is loud, and off putting. I'm not the first person to mention this. I am no expert, but I am fairly certain if the music was a little more diverse (or a few decibels lower) people would likely hang out longer. Beer is great, and love the size options; 6oz for $4 and 16oz for $8. If it weren't for the loud atrocious music we would've hung out much longer and had more beer. The atmosphere is cool & hip. It was just too loud & not my genre of music. We bounced and went down the street to RidgeWood, where the beer options were great and the beertenders a lot more friendly. read more

Very similar in experience to the Interbay location in terms of beers, inside vibes, etc, but the location is decidedly more suburban. Lots more families, dogs, etc, and it can get a little louder just because of the shape of the space. There's some uncovered sidewalk seating in addition to the indoor area. I like the beer here because they generally have a few interesting seasons and farmhaus style beers, but I think most people who like beer would be able to find something they enjoy here read more

I have always been a huge fan of Holy Mountain for over a decade now and recently noticed they opened up a new taproom. For a Monday night, this place was pretty packed and they had about 15 beers on tap and about 5 or 6 different beers to go. Service was pretty good and the place was super clean. It is next to a couple of other wine bars. Although they do not serve food, you can bring your own. They also sell clothing, lighters, etc. This new location is about 5 minute driving distance from Chuck's Hop Shop. read more

Almost the same as the Elliott Ave location with lots of Holy Mountain branding and piped in music vibe. Seating for all size groups, accordion glass doors open to the west side of 7011 Greenwood Ave with lots of afternoon shade on these summer days. You have to rely on street parking and hope for parking karma Gods to smile on you. Start looking for parking as you go North and pass Red Mill Burgers as just another couple of blocks on the left. The location holds as many patrons as the original location, has a wall of taps, loads of merchandise and the chill atmosphere of Phinney Ridge. There's a few of my favorites places for food just 2-3 blocks either North or South. The beer has a cross section of many genres from Saison, sours, ales, stouts and of course some PNW IPAs. The Saison stands out as my favorite. read more

The whole shared roof community is great, and Holy Mountain is no exception. I will be the rare reviewer who will say that I didn't come here that often when they first opened because, I'm not a huge fan of their beers. I know. Sacrilege. I also felt the music was a little too loud and the whole place felt a little sterile and cold (concrete floors and a somewhat industrial vibe). But, I have to admit that it's grown on me over time. Now, this is a top pick for us when we want to work on a project, read, play a board game, or what have you. There is no food here most of the time although they do a past a pop-up now and again and on Wednesdays & some Fridays you can get pizza or burgers from the bakery next door. Once again, I'll be an outlier and say we avoid those nights. Sometimes we'll bring take-out from one of the plethora of restaurants in the area (red mill, el chupacabra, chicken supply, thai, etc) but more often we just walk up here before/after dinner for a spot to relax. read more

Holy Mountain Brewing continues to be amazing and their Phinney Ridge taproom continues with the great quality of their beer. I have always loved their brewery merch t shirts and continously purchase them because they are so cool but also anticipate any issues with online orders to be a struggle and a slog to get it resolved as previous experience has generated. They don't call back with phone calls or emails so good luck with anything with that and hope that you live close in case you have to physically go to one of the locations to resolve your online order issues. The beer as good as ever! I had the La Vienna Especial which was a Mexican Lager at this taproom and simply loved it! The malty, caramel and dry flavor features are mastered to perfection like Holy Mountain does with anything they do. I love this particular beer and almost all of their beers which gives them five stars but expect a considerable effort to resolve online orders with merxh if there are any issues. Heard the new location opened up recently and being back in town just for the night I had to make a stop. Beers are amazing as usual and really like the layout of the spot. I liked that the seating options aligned for sizes from a single person (bar seating or high tops) small group tables, and longer tables for medium sized groups. Finally got to go to Holy Mountain's new location. First off the beer, I went with the pale and the wit both were fantastic beers, what you'd expect. The location is still putting the finishing touches but I think the space will be a staple on Phinney. read more

Holy Mountain has been my favorite brewery in Seattle for years. I stopped in today and, as I'm finishing up my last pour, I felt compelled to post a review before I left. The beer, as always, is phenomenal. However, the service today was lacking. The lady working behind the bar was quite cold and seemed more interested in chatting with the colleague who just started their shift than attending to the customers. This is quite disappointing because I've been a regular at their main location for years. When you're paying $8 plus tip for a pint, a smile goes a long way. I've never understood why working at a popular brewery seems to give some staff a sense of superiority. I'm tired of the pompous attitude. I'll be taking my business to Ridgewood, where they at least greet you with a friendly hello. read more

Beer was good but beer tenders made it very clear they were unhappy to be serving people. Crowd was great but so many restrictions - limits on pour sizes, angry diatribes about kids and dogs. Music super loud and angry making it very difficult to have a conversation on a busy Friday night. I guess each brewery creates their own vibe and that's their choice but the vibe created at Holy Mountain makes it clear they do not appreciate the neighborhood they've joined. read more

I love this space to hang, do work, visit with friends, etc. I also think the beer selection is great (things other than IPAs) and all the bartender who work here are really awesome. I also appreciate the snack selection including hot pretzels(!!) My only other comment is that there was a 1-yr old kid's birthday party happening while we were there on a Saturday so the place was swamped with kids running around and strollers and that kind of made for a chaotic environment.
