I had taken my 2006 Dodge Ram in for Heating and Air-conditioning issues from 2026-2018. Finally after 18 months and $2000 the AC worked. I had my truck in probably a dozen times. The heater never worked for very long, I was constantly reassured they would make it right. I got so fed up, I took it to another shop and they replaced the heater core (again), this time with the right part. I took Homans to small claims court, just to get paid back for the heater core and labor. These people will nickel and dime you. Very disappointing. read more

They have done alright work in the past with helping me fix my El Camino. Most recently though they said they had fixed my car, and it was running and ready to go. About 4 min into my ride my car starts misfiring, and the idle speed was lowered some how. All they were suppose to do is put in the new starter I brought to them, and get me a new gasket cover. I called and they said that I could come get it fixed, and pay again. When the issue wasn't my doing. Also my car was stalling so how would I get it back? Pay for another $100 dollar tow?? No thanks, I will have to take my business elsewhere now. read more

When I arrived to drop off my car, I was greeted by Clint and he was very nice. I waited close to half an hour for his wife to return from lunch as they advertise on their site that they will drive you home - she was SUPER nice! I felt great about using a local service. When I dropped my car off, I explicitly told Clint the owner to not use any chemicals on the tinted windows.... While I can't say how they are for their actual mechanical work, I can tell you for sure that the detailing work they do is beyond abysmal. In fact, they did damage to three of the four windows tint job. The outside looked decent, except for water-spots but the tires were dressed well. When I got in to drive away, the first thing I noticed was how wet my seat was. The second was over-spray ALL over the windshield and side windows, which lead me to discover the multiple scratches and what can best be described as punctures to the tinting. The drivers side was the worst with seven spots of damage (one is a scratch that's two inches long), the passenger side has a couple as well as one of the windows in the back seat. It looks to me like these were caused by the guys jeans while he was vacuuming/steam cleaning. There was a LOT more that I could detail, and I took pictures later. My rear view mirror wasn't even touched. Clint was playing with his two kids and I had to stand there for a few minutes before he looked up and noticed I hadn't left. He walked over and I pointed out the scratches and punctures on the windows, along with the spray. He didn't say anything but walked away and soon a younger guy with reddish hair came out and was immediately defensive and swearing up and down "on my dead brother's grave" that there was no way he did this damage. He asked how long the windows have been tinted and I said almost 3 years. He then told me that I had done the damage with my fingernails! UMMMMM NOPE!!! When I pointed out the overs-pray on the windows, he angrily said, "That's just over-spray!" and didn't make any effort to clean it up, instead he stormed off. Mind you, there were two small children asking questions as I stood there in disbelief that somehow I was to blame for the condition my car was in. The little girl asked, don't you think your car is clean?" I answered back and said, "some of it is, but it looks worse now than when I brought it in". This is when Clint returned. He didn't know what to say, but he absolutely didn't apologize. Again, I pointed out the over-spray on the windshield so he left and came back with a rag and cleaned it up and then stood there, telling his kids to leave us alone, stop asking questions... I didn't know what to say but did tell him I was extremely disappointed. Later, I called back, wanting to know the name of the guy who did the detailing. Clint refused to give me that info and said that the guy to Clint that I was cursing at him. This is absolutely false. I probably would have had there not been two young children very interested in watching this situation. Once again, he didn't apologize or offer any sort of concession. read more

I've never given a negative review about any service provider but my lousy detail job at Homan Auto in Bellevue, NE deserves a gigantic bashing for the crappy job they did on my 2008 Mazda3 on Dec. 5, 2014. Let me start off with a positive: the outside looked really good...except for the water spots on the side view mirrors and windows and the smears around the edges of the windshield. If those were the only issues I would still give them a positive review. But let's talk about the interior... 1. Silicone spray EVERYWHERE! I have a matte black plastic dash, console and side panels. Everyone knows you are NOT supposed to use a silicone based shine spray on these surfaces. It leaves an oil slick that takes weeks to get rid of. Regardless, they used it to the point where the steering wheel was so slippery I could barely hang onto to. There was overspray everywhere - the cup holders in the doors were full of it. And when I wiped it up I got a lot of lint, hair and dust. Hmmm...guess they forgot to wipe those out. 2. Maybe #1 wouldn't have been so bad if they'd actually wiped everything down - but they didn't. The center console was half-assed wiped off and you could clearly see the smear marks on the dash and side panels where they missed entire sections. The dash still had dust on it! 3. Seats and floor mats were left soaking wet - the carpet mats were so wet that they were squishy. Three days later and I'm still airing them out in our garage. Also they put my rubber all-weather mats on top of the wet carpet instead of sticking them in the trunk until my carpet was dry. 4. Oh, and that trunk? They didn't even bother to vacuum it out. And I had emptied it of everything before our appointment except for the carpet mats to make this easy for them. 5. They didn't clean up dirt that was there...and left new dirt for me to clean up. One of the dirtiest parts of any car is the driver and passenger arm rests and door handles, right? They didn't even touch those! I went home and took a washcloth and wiped the dirt right off, so it wasn't like it was a hard job. My back seat - which is pristine and clean because I have no kids or animals - ended up with big black scuff marks all up and down one side. Obviously from the vacuum or steam cleaner hose being drug across it. Grrrr..... After this crap-tastic detail job that I paid for, I had to go home and spend 30 minutes cleaning the inside of my car to clean up their messes and fix all the stuff they didn't do. And I had to leave my car windows open and not drive it for two days until everything dried out. Can you say "FURIOUS"?!? Should I call them to get my money back? No - the outside of the car was fairly well done so I don't think I'm due a refund. Should I give them a chance to make it good? NO WAY! I don't want these people touching my car again. I have a feeling that because my car wasn't fancy (like the Acura they were also working on) or a newer model, that they just thought I wouldn't give a crap. My car doesn't look like it's 8 years old because I take excellent care of it! Not only won't I give them a second chance to keep my business, I want to make sure that people are aware of the lousy service so they don't give them a FIRST chance. read more

Very disappointed. Once the work was completed, I inspected the job. A bolt was missing from the new transmission cooler mount. A mounting bracket was missing from the cooler lines, two bolts were missing from my door latch. And the door cover was not even installed back. Clips were broke off my door cover l. One of the transmission cooler lines connection wasn't righted so I lost about two quarts of transmission fluid. When I called the first time Stephanie informed me I would be called back. Didn't receive a call back the rest of the day. Then they were closed for the weekend. So I called again Monday. The mechanic said he would call me back after his lunch to let me know about the bolts. Never received a call back. I went and bought my own bolts and own clips and own fluid. Very disappointed. Paid $1500 for them to rush the job. Not worth the 4.5 stars everyone is giving them. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I'm not sure how Homan's has a one star rating. That is absurd. They have been extremely nice and empathetic to my situation. I bought a terrible car from a terrible auto dealer (ELITE AUTO CENTER in Bellevue) and had to immediately turn around and do a ton of work on it. Stephanie in the front office is great. She worked with me on the payments because of the amount I had to pay to fix it, she made sure to do everything in her power to get the crappy warranty I was forced to buy through Elite to pay for most of the charges. They have given me a car to drive around on the weekend while mine was in their shop. Most recently, they made sure that I got my brakes changed even though I couldn't afford to do it right away, AND they drove me home since my fiancé was at work. The service I have received is beyond standard. They are a bright ray in this dark situation. I could not be more thankful for them. read more

I purchased an interior detail through Groupon that had unfortunately been expired for 4 months by the time I got it scheduled. Homan's was wonderful to work with and allowed me to use the Groupon without an extra charge. I will definitely go back the next time I need any type of work done to my car. read more
