Plenty of grass for the fur babies to roll and roam, or you can keep it legal and follow the paved trail on a leash. Great park!

18 hole course in a busy family recreation park. The first…read more9 are very straight forward with not a lot of drama. We went on the first sunny day in spring. There is a decent variance of types of holes , long, short, 4 wooded, a few small hills, and some water obstacles from a stream that runs the park. There were far more unintentional water obstacles on our day as it had just rained heavily the day before! Basket 18 was in a large 10 foot puddle. Generally speaking though, this course is easy and you won't lose your discs. It would be good to play with kids. The course is well marked and maintained with good signage but the layout doesn't always make the most sense and you WILL need the map. Also after basket 11 (the sledding hill) we didn't realize we needed to head into the woods. Of course it would be nice to have better pads, but I can understand with mowing and such them not wanting to put permanent pads. On basket 4 you can see planes land at GR FORD directly perpendicular to the course as you play the basket, might make a cool photo op. The freeway and the airport do make the park noisy though.

I recently visited Johnson Park for disc golf - well, Nate and our friend disc golfed, I just…read more"hiked" the course with them. It was a super sunny and hot spring day, so the park was pretty busy with a lot of people looking to enjoy the sunshine. The parking lot got full after we arrived - not sure if there is overflow parking available. I can't really speak to the difficulty of the course for playing, but it is super hilly and made for a sweaty hike around for a couple of hours for me. There's not a ton of shade as many of the holes are out in a massive field. The areas in the woods are shadier but seems like it would be pretty easy to lose a disc in there. It's not very accessible - some of the holes in the woods are accessed by stairs with no ramping available. The park itself is huge and sprawling, with the majority of people playing disc golf. The course signage was good for 2/3 of the course - a few of the later holes didn't have the "next hole" sign directing you where to go. There are apps you can use that help with this. There is another park of Johnson Park that includes picnic areas, an open shelter, the historic shelter for events, ball diamonds, restrooms, playgrounds, and a winter sledding hill. There are trails to walk in this area as well.

The course design was okay, mostly just flat straight shots with some holes and most of the hole in ones you can get area from hitting it directly at the hole and not taking the fun route. I think this is good if you want to eat your captain sundae while playing, but there are better mini golf places in the area if you're going for mini golf.

This ice arena is home to several college and HS hockey teams and also hosts figure skating, youth hockey and open skates. Their snack bar is great, it even serves beer as well as food like hot dogs and snacks. Its a little chilly inside the rink but there are viewing areas up top which are heated. What a rude and unprofessional place this is. A family member was going to this center for a…read moreschool ice skating field trip and we wanted to know if there would be a charge to use walkers in this arena because the skater who would be there is a tiny girl who doesn't have much experience on ice and we didn't want her hurt by bigger, faster and more experienced skaters. This was also a very reasonable concern because other places have charged an extra $10 for the rentals of these items! I called after 9:00 a.m. on a Wednesday which was during their business hours but could never get ANYBODY to answer the phone or even have the BASIC professional courtesy to return my voicemails! It was also so annoying that the voicemail didn't list departments like NORMAL voicemails do (Human Resources, front desk, etc) but gave employee names at different extensions. I have no clue who these people are or what their job capacity is so how would I know who to request? I left a voicemail with 3 of the staff and it is late in the afternoon the same day and not ONE of them had the decency or common courtesy to return my call. I would NEVER recommend this place that treats people so poorly and rudely.
