What a fun place! It had all of the ingredients I needed to have a wonderful experience. I learned a lot. I shared plenty of cool moments with my team. I appreciated the guidance from Gustavo and Vania, the chef and the kitchen assistant. He was a great coach. The chef gave us just enough help, when we needed it. We had a "Chopped" tv show style competition where we had to create a meal together for each other (7 of us) and one plated dish for competition judgement from chef Gustavo. We had one hour to make a chicken meal, plate it, and clean up our stations. I totally recommend this for your teams, small parties. Ask for Gustavo and Vania. They made it super special!

This place was amazing. This was my first time doing this and it was not what I expected. The chef was great and was helpful the entire time. She not only showed how to cook but how to hold the knife and properly handle the food and prep. She also gave great recommendations on where to get ingredients. They also do large groups for corporate team building too. The experience was fun, educational and the recipes were really simple to do at home. Definitely coming back here for another class.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we booked our class at Homechef. It exceeded any expectations and our group made wonderful dishes and learned a lot along the way. I'd definitely recommend to others and also plan on doing another class. Chef Lionel was fantastic!

My first awesome baking class and I'm so glad I attended it at Home Chef because I learned a lot! Thanks to Chef Chris and Maureen

Just simply awesome! Direct to the point basic baking class. Chef Chris is an amazing instructor and Maureen just added spice to it! It feels just like home. It was a memorable class for me and my daughter.

I booked a Tuesday evening class during winter break. You get a confirmation email and that's it. I was worried about prep but they prepare everything for you and thought up everything as well. Small parking lot. They had us wash our hands when we arrived and then each kiddo had a color sheet with crayons. Nice touch but defeats the purpose of washing our hands first. The two of us shared a table with another mom with their toddler. Each toddler had their own set up to make 6 cookies. Everything was pre measured and it wasn't too messy. We were able to bake 6 cookies and use whatever toppings - she got to choose between chocolate chips, m&ms, white chocolate chips and these dried fruits. They read a book to the kids and then made milk shakes as a group. Each kid got a small cup and to place chocolate chips/m&Ms in. The cookies were really delicious and my child loved the milk shake. One thing is that you can't stop other kiddos from touching your items/food. Would return.

Great experience for people watching/interacting, and cooking without having to prep or clean!…read more Booked a shared table for 2 (4 people at a table) for an adult cooking class on a Saturday night. Pros: The shared table experience was great for meeting new people and having extra sets of brains for multitasking. Cons: Seating is random and the experience is shared; ie: one burner for 4, and the end products are shared. Our dish ended up being over-salted, and our experience was halved in interactive-ness due to the luck of the draw of seating. Never have I had a spoon or spatula taken away from my hands so fast before. And most certainly never have I had someone critique the knives and actively give the duller knife to us. This shared table experience was essentially a fight for all (for us). BUT this is just dependent on the attendees and who you're seated with. The other shared tables didn't seem to have such issues. For a more interactive learning experience, I recommend the private table to avoid the risk of randomization. On the bright side, we got to see how other couples interact, whether it was actively taking items from their partner's hands because they were doing the task wrong (ie: mixing eggs wrong??) or the couple next to us taking cute photos of each other and sharing drinks while enjoying their time together. The structure of the class was decent, organized, and well-paced. All ingredients were measured and prepared. Baking, cleaning, and chilling items were taken care of by staff. Prepping the dish (ie: battering items, mixing ingredients) and active cooking were the only things needed to be done. The instructor would explain the ingredients provided and the instructions during the instruction period for the dish at hand. Following the instructions, prep/cooking occurs while the instructor supervises and provides aid or guidance as needed. All in all, I had a great experience. The staff was nice, especially the instructor, and I felt taken care of during my cooking class experience. Would return for pasta night-- most definitely for the private table experience.

Daniel and I started talking about and planning our wedding late February 2022. And we were recommended to reach out to Lana and her company Rainbow Chefs for the catering. Daniel and I were originally planning for a cocktail wedding, as opposed to a traditional sit down dinner. We were madly sending out inquiries to different food catering companies, food trucks, restaurants, etc., with no hope in regards to the insanely expensive prices for the amount of people we were expecting, about 200+. Finally, Daniel's manager suggested that we reach out to Lana. We scheduled a zoom meeting with her, and had an unforgettable first impression of her and her plan for our last minute wedding. She broke down every detail we needed to be aware of and prepared for, including prices, and even discussed different options her company could offer to us. It was not easy to plan a wedding with 200+ guest invitations, in 4-5 months, but thankfully we were lucky enough that Lana and her crew were available for our wedding date and were able to help us throughout the process. During the entire planning time, Lana diligently checked in on both Daniel and I, sometimes individually, making sure tasks were being done and loose ends were being tied in time for our big day. Not only was Lana on top of us daily/weekly regarding our wedding planning, but she was also conscientious toward our mental health and instilled lots of important advice. About a week before our wedding day, Lana, Kate and Viana came to the venue, along with our other vendors, to have an overall tour of the venue, to make sure they knew where to maneuver the food tables, the kitchen staff, the bar situation, etc. On the day of the wedding, Lana was exceptional! Her and the Rainbow Chefs crew made sure our guests were well taken care of. I got compliments from our family and friends about how great the staff was, so that definitely meant alot. Throughout the night, along with our wedding planner, Lana was making sure that Daniel and I ate, that we were aware of things she and her crew were doing, etc. They definitely helped ease some of our planning and event stresses. The communication, diligence and honesty that Lana and Rainbow Chefs presented to us throughout the entire planning and event process was one that we absolutely recommend to anyone who is planning a wedding or large event/party!!

Very questionable communication from the Rainbow Chefs Update- After three painful weeks, I have finally received the e-recipes that were promised to us in August, 2021. During the past three weeks, Lana from Rainbow chefs kept on promising that she will send the recipes to me without providing a date. I had to follow up with her multiples time to get an update. Along the way Lana kept on saying that Rainbow chefs went above and beyond to create the recipes for our camp and the recipes are supposed to be an "extra effort" for our camp, however, this was actually advertised to us before we signed the contract. I felt really annoyed that one dared to describe something that's 11 months late as "extra effort". In addition, the first version I received was full of typos/formatting errors and missing TWO dishes. Lana told me those were missing because she lost the recipe files--but according to her that everything was custom made for our camp so she had to write the recipes from scratch? If she had the "files" all this time why not just send to me? To conclude, lots of inconsistent information from Rainbow chefs. I would advise everyone to think twice before choosing to work with Rainbow chefs

She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, organized, and fun! Everyone had something to do, and everyone had a great time! I asked her to come on short notice, and she was very accomodating. She crafted a menu that included a vietnamese summer roll appetizer, two protein main dishes, two vegetable side dishes, and a salad. We all agreed that we never had such great summer rolls before, and the rest of the food was equally delicious. The flavor profiles of the dishes were complex, but not hard to make. She gave us all the know-how to prepare, cook and season the food properly. It was so fun to take a class, then enjoy the fruits of our labor. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night with family! Clean up was also a breeze. For a family of seven, including all the cookware, I only had to do one load of dishes in the dishwasher. I only washed the serveware and one non-stick baking dish by hand (my normal practice). I didn't even realize as we were cooking that Jess had been so efficient in her use of the cookware and bakeware.
