My husband and I considered getting a house cleaning service for a while but we were hesitant to move forward because of our high standards. When I found Home Cleaning Home on Yelp through their very high reviews and Yelp guarantee, I was willing to take a chance! I reached out through Yelp and Vina (the Owner) responded same-day and quite quickly I booked our first cleaning for the following week. The plan was to have an initial cleaning and if all went well, we'd continue to have monthly cleanings. On day of cleaning, Vina arrived right on time and did a walk through to assess the level of cleaning needed for the first time, set expectations, and discuss pricing and scheduling. Vina's very professional and everything discussed sounded reasonable. Vina determined a deep cleaning would be necessary for the 1st time and the additional cleaning of the inside of the stove was quoted as well. Vina left and the two cleaners came in with all their supplies and got to work right away. Around 3 hours later, the cleaners were all done and our 2-story approx 1,800sqft house was immaculate and smelling fresh and clean. I text Vina to arrange payment which we agreed to complete via Zelle. Then, we set up a plan for Vina to text me at the beginning of each month to schedule the month's cleaning. April 1st Vina text me and we scheduled April's cleaning for the following week with a tentative timeframe. Day before, Vina text me to confirm the exact time. Day of cleaning, the same 2 cleaners came a few minutes after the scheduled time and same as before brought their supplies in and got right to work. Two hours later, they were done and the house was just as clean as the 1st time. My husband and I have both been very pleased with Home Cleaning Home service and are so glad we found them! Pricing for our size home (2-story, 3 bed, 3 bath, 1,800sqft) is $250/month and although it's significantly more expensive than a friend pays for her house cleaning, we feel it's worth it and that cleaners deserve to be paid a living wage so we're happy. I'd recommend Home Cleaning Home to anyone in the Sacramento area looking for cleaners for one-time or consistently. read more

The ladies that came to clean were very nice, however we asked them to clean the walls and sweep the floors so we could prep for painting the house. Our floors had just been demo's except for some rooms that had dust from removing popcorn debris. The floors with the popcorn debris were incredibly dusty after the water dried up after the left. It was clear the just moved a mop around but didn't try to actually get the dirt off the floor. We asked them to scrub the walls to get the dirt and grime off and the walls looked like they had zero elbow grease put into them. Again, just like they had barely put some product onto the wall but didn't actually scrub anything off the wall. Would not recommend this service, as they finished a 1700 sq foot house in 2 hours. read more

The cleaning itself looks sufficient for what was asked; however, the pricing process is a bit sketchy. We were quoted a price range according to time. The lowest price for two hours of cleaning and the most four hours of cleaning. The cleaners finished at most two hours. When the service called back, we were told we were getting charged the MOST out of the price range quoted because they sent an extra person, and it would normally take longer without the extra person. That is questionable as our place was virtually empty--the cleaning was before we were going to move in. My review of Home Cleaning Home is essentially a 3.5 starts. Let me tell you why. The day started off well, although late, I did get a phone call from the owner explaining that the crew would be late. No problem. The crew arrived and immediately got to work on cleaning my home. I was not present for the full duration of the cleaning, I left for about 3-4 hours and returned towards the end of the cleaning session. When I returned to my home, there were things very out of place...and broken. The shower doors in my primary bathroom were "forced" in a direction that they do not go, therefore, the doors didn't open and close correctly. I was able to fix that part, no big deal right? Wrong. Next, the rubber piece at the bottom of the doors popped off during cleaning and couldn't be repaired without glue, which I didn't have nor did the girls cleaning. Then, I noticed the knob on the doors was missing! I asked about it and none of the 3 women cleaning knew what happened to the knob. Next, the light switch knob also went missing. Lastly, I noticed that two pieces of my blinds were also missing! And not a single person mentioned anything to me or called me about it. I had to discover these items on my own and inquire. Just not the best business practice. I originally considered hiring this company again but after all my discoveries, I won't be hiring them again. I am generally a big believer in praising in public and giving constructive criticism privately. I also rarely leave negative reviews. In fact, this is only my second negative review in over 20 years of using Yelp (and my other "negative" review was three stars), which makes writing this especially disappointing. I waited exactly one week before posting to make sure I had cooled off and was being fair. My mother passed away six months ago, and I have been spending the last three months cleaning her home so I can move in. Because I have severe dust allergies, my primary request was a thorough deep clean with special attention to visible surfaces and crevices so the home would be truly move-in ready. I received multiple quotes between $400 and $600. This company quoted $500 for a three-person team. When they arrived and realized the home was furnished and I requested the porch, garage, and part of the patio (all primarily for dust and cobweb removal), the total increased to $800. I paid in cash and tipped each cleaner $50, bringing my total close to $950. The team also had me return to the house before they were actually finished, and the overall pace felt rushed. Met at 8am, started around 820am finished at 4pm, less than 8 hours. It was a 3 person team for the first 3 hours and then the owner came to help out so they wouldn't stay all day, but it wasn't even a full 8 hours. Unfortunately, the results did not match the price or the "deep clean" expectation. My goal was simply to have all visible dust and reachable crevices properly cleaned, which I do not believe is an unreasonable expectation for a professional move-in service. During the final walkthrough, the owner focused more on pointing out what was done rather than ensuring the home was actually clean. The overall tone made it feel as though my expectations were too high, when in reality many areas appeared to have received only very surface-level cleaning. Major concerns: * Significant dust and cobwebs still present throughout the home * Dust buildup remained in floor crevices, under counters, and between drawers * Furniture did not need to be moved, yet there was visible dust and debris on, around, and underneath multiple pieces * Inside cabinets were not cleaned to a move-in standard * Garage refrigerator was left uncleaned * Tabletops and appliance surfaces were still visibly dirty and could have been addressed with a quick wipe * The fireplace area still contained visible loose dust and debris in accessible areas * Ants visible on the wood floor even after the cleaning; I photographed it after I had already cleaned the floors multiple times myself * There were still dead bugs present in areas that should have been addressed during a deep clean * In the areas photographed, the dust and residue came off easily with a simple Lysol wipe, which suggests those surfaces were not thoroughly cleaned * When I wiped the floor with a Lysol wipe after the service, it turned black immediately, which raised concerns that the floors may not have been thoroughly mopped * The bottom drawer of my oven is now missing Important note: the photos I am posting were taken after I had already done additional cleaning myself, and this review is being written exactly seven days after the service. Based on that short timeframe, the level of dust shown in the photos would not reasonably have had time to re-accumulate. I understand this is a large home. However, when charging close to $1,000 for what was represented as a professional deep clean, the job should be completed to a true move-in standard. My expectations were fair, and I paid well above the original quote and tipped generously. After months of personally cleaning eight hours a day, I hired professionals so the house could finally be ready. Instead, I have had to continue deep cleaning myself. If I could give zero stars I would. I assume that with a standard cleaning consists of vacuuming, mopping, wiping down flat surfaces, toilet, shower and sinks. This wasn't the case. I recently hired Home Cleaning Home for a standard clean and I was incredibly disappointed. For $120, I expected a thorough cleaning, but all I received was a quick vacuum and mopping of the floors. The level of detail was lacking, and they didn't address any of the dust or grime in corners or on surfaces. Staff was late and went back and forth with the owner a couple of times on the date and time. I remained flexible and accommodating. Communication was also an issue; the staff only spoke Spanish and the owner should have made sure what was expected. The whole cleaning seemed rushed and didn't take the time to understand my specific concerns. I felt like I was just another appointment on their schedule rather than a valued customer. I addressed my concerns with the staff through Google translate. I could tell that they were hesitant to fix my concerns, so I called my boyfriend who is fluent in Spanish. It became obvious I wasn't getting anywhere so I hung up with my boyfriend. Called the owner Vina and she stated she would come tomorrow to finish the job (which I was fine with). 10 minutes later Vina called me back and argued with me over the price. Stating with a condescending tone the job was worth $200 because it's a deep clean. I told her that was way beyond my budget. Also stated that she pays her girls $60.00 an hour! I don't make that working for the state! After some back and forth (because she cared more about being right than making the situation right) I grew annoyed and hung up. Overall, I do not believe this service was worth the price. If you're looking for a comprehensive cleaning, I would recommend searching elsewhere. Morning of my scheduled deep clean, two wonderful ladies came over and got to work right away. Very respectful of my place and EXTREMELY detailed oriented. I reached out to Home Cleaning Home (HCH) through Yelp. I had HCH crew (3 ladies) to my home on 5.17.25 to do a deep clean of my kitchen/great room/spare bathroom & hallways. Biggest issues were dust bunnies on walls, grease buildup on walls, & cabinets, dusty wood shutters, dirty windows and dusty/dirty fans and filthy baseboards which needed to be cleaned. Didn't need bedrooms/master bathroom done at this time. Spoke to Vina who gave me a quote via Yelp. She later came out to my home and gave me a final quote. We confirmed date/time and the HCH crew showed up on time and worked hard on all the areas required during a few hours. Did a really nice job! I would highly recommend. Just be sure to indicate what your expectations are and Vina will let you know what is possible. Side event during the cleaning: One of the HCH crew was on a ladder cleaning my kitchen fan (which has been in place for 15+ years) and the fan fell out of place with only one wire holding it up to the ceiling! Yikes! :( Luckily, the HCH crew member was not hurt (most important)! I was trying to get an electrician out asap (nearly impossible). Vina called me and said she had a handyman and he could come and fix the issue within an hour. Perfect! Vina offered to take care of the cost, but I paid the handyman since it wasn't the fault of the cleaner the fan fell. Since I usually sit under the fan in my kitchen, it could have happened to me at some point. So I am grateful no one was hurt! The fan is working fine now. Will definately use HCH services again! Don't bother. She's "booked for this time" if you're asking for general info and state that you're flexible when filling out the survey info which only has specific dates/times and "flexible". Dunno if she's booked out for a decade or what but I don't really see the purpose of accepting service requests on Yelp if you literally have zero availability. UPDATE in response to business response: My point is that my request for information did not specify a date and was simply a request for information to which you responded "booked for this time". You don't know when I want the service so you can't be booked unless it's for an incredibly long time and if that's the case, you shouldn't be accepting service requests on Yelp. I understand a short and slightly unprofessional response like that if I had asked for a service on a specific date, but I did not. I think this is noteworthy to people who are looking for a cleaning service. Maybe you're right though, maybe 3 stars is more appropriate, know that it was frustrating to spend the time to fill out the forms only to be met with a response stating you're booked despite not having specified a time.
