We picked up the watering can and a shopping basket, picked up a few bags of liquorice, as we walked around a small area much like a dollar shop, there was a rack with sunglasses with a sign staying they were all $5 a pair. I asked a young guy who worked there if that was the price as they had stickers stating various prices. He said yes, they are all $5, only then did we feel a woman in a home hardware uniform following inches behind us, I asked if we were in her way, she said no she wanted to make sire we knew the price! yet she was standing right there when had asked. Then everything we looked at i.e., ($1.25' or $1.50, items etc, ) there she was. she even followed us when we went to pay 'another cashier' so I said "Are you the manager"? she said "oh no I'm a cashier". people, Home Hardware is no Holt Renfrew, plus section we were in was like a dollar shop. We would never ever go to this location again, we'll stick to Home Hardware on Wellington Street in Aurora from now on. Upsetting behaviour, if she's titled herself as SECURITY then at least take off the bright red uniform, pathetic individual.

The business I work for is located in Toronto, but since I live north of the city, I happened upon their website while looking for somewhere to get keys cut. After seeing they sold a lot of stuff I use at work on their website, I decided to drop in and ask a few questions to see if I could get many of the things I need on an ongoing basis. Turns out they do, and I've been frequenting the place ever since. Not only is ordering items easy: You can order online, email in an order, or call one in - and can either have your items shipped, or go and pick them up from the store (right away if they're a stock item, or a couple of days later if they're not), but the customer service here is second to none. Peter goes out of his way to try and be helpful, and to ensure you get exactly what you want. I've also benefited from Peter's diagnostic skills more than once. Whether I've brought in a broken piece of hardware, showed him pics of something on my phone, or emailed a video in, he always helps out where he can, and gives help and advice that have more than once proved both correct and valuable. Well stocked and everything clearly labelled and price - is this a dream I've walked into? Prices are pretty reasonable and they have lots of items on sale or clearance at the end of the season. During the warmer months they have their garden centre open with staff there to help you get your green thumb on. Extremely large parking lot helps as you maneuver your big boxes across the lot.
