The training we received from you was instrumental in helping us in keeping our two boys safe. Your training was not for them, but for us. Capone and Pawlie appear much happier now, much more responsive, and Jodi and I are much more confident in our abilities. When our boys started becoming aggressive with each other, it broke our hearts. We had so much happening in our lives, we had forgotten that we project on to our kids. Instead of having one step forward , three steps back, we are now four steps forward and one step back. We just know, now, that we have to be more diligent with them and remember they too are our children. Your guidance, and teaching, has helped us regain our lives, and feel that our kids are safe, and they have been playing together. We, as Mom and Dad, still stress and want to make sure they are always safe, but our lives are much calmer because of you and your teaching. I look forward to actually getting to the group classes, and seeing you soon! Thanks again! Shane Brough

It's been a month since our…read more4-year-old rescue, Angus, completed his 3-week board and train--and we can confidently say we have a completely transformed dog. When we adopted Angus, an American Bulldog, he was extremely reactive, had zero impulse control, and was tough to manage. Walks were stressful--he would bark, lunge, and completely lose it around other dogs. Recall was non-existent, and previous trainers had little success with him. After his time at CharlieBar, everything changed. Angus now walks calmly on a leash, his reactivity has decreased by at least 90%, and he thrives during his daily training sessions at home. The most remarkable part of Ricardo's approach is that it goes beyond basic commands--he teaches dogs how to think, make decisions, and self-correct. It's not just about punishment or praise; it's about helping dogs understand their choices. With a simple "uh uh," Angus now stops, thinks, and chooses better behavior--without fear or confusion. We're beyond grateful for the results and highly recommend CharlieBar to anyone looking to make a lasting difference in their dog's behavior.

I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

Before training, Maggie was almost impossible to walk, constant leash pulling, barking, and reactivity that made it embarrassing to take her anywhere. Since our very first lesson, she has completely transformed. She's calmer, more responsive, and so much easier to handle. Now I can take her with me to Lowe's or PetSmart and she walks right next to me, relaxed and focused. I even get compliments from people about how calm she is. Bob explains everything clearly and gives you tools that actually work. If you're looking for a trainer who truly knows what he's doing, this is the place.

We elected to go with the 3-week train & board, and I am extremely thankful we did. We created a poor environment for our 8-month old Dachshund mix puppy, Kona. We did everything wrong, including baby talk, no boundaries, very little rules, sleeping in the bed from time to time, jumping on the coach, etc, etc, etc. About the only thing we did right is crate train our puppy fairly well. Today is post-training, Day 6 and I am completely blown away and EXTREMELY HAPPY! I recognize, we have a long ways to go, but our pup is a rebuilt dog. After 3-weeks of training from Dave and 100% execution of his "post board & train" plan for the first 6 days, we have a happy dog and happy owners. We now have a dog that understands the rules & boundaries. She walks right next to us with a loose leash. She doesn't pull, sniff or get distracted. If she does, a small correction is made and she's back on track. She comes, every single time we say "Kona Come". She stays "In Place" for several hours at a time and is 100% housebroken. What I appreciate about Dave the most is his no-nonsense and straight forward style. If you don't like e-collar training then Dave is not for you; however, my guess is you don't understand e-collar training. Dave took his time with us, educated us (combined with my own research) and demonstrated for us the benefits of e-collar. Dave called every few days to check in and keep us updated, which was great. We now enjoy Kona and the freedom she has is much different. Last night, we were hanging out in the garage with the garage door open for a few hours and Kona was right, just hanging out with us. She never strayed far off, didn't run and if she got a little close the boundary, "Kona Come" did the trick to correct her. Truly thankful that we went with Empowered K9 Training!

Can you imagine your two dogs laying calmly and quietly in their beds while the Cox Cable technician traipses in and out of your house leaving the front door open and going from room to room? Well that's exactly what happened at my house last month thanks to Dave's help and training. It is an absolute joy to walk my dogs now. Dave's training techniques made a difference in our walks after just one session! I walk them twice a day now and I'm lazy! Dave is a wonderful trainer with a wonderful program. Who doesn't love being able to text and call your dogs' trainer long after the sessions have ended for help and advice? And he actually texts back and calls back! Love this guy! Do yourself and your dog a favor and give Dave a call.

Update: I don't always remember to check in when I come here…read morebecause with my two pups it's a whole palaver getting them out/in, but my reviews are consistently five stars! The wonderful Andrea and Toni at reception are such great ambassadors for 4 Paws: always smiling, helpful, and give the true vibe of a well-run and fun place for the dogs. Their bi-weekly "pawties" are such a great day with food and photos, socializing with other dogs while playing, and coming back home all happy and exhausted :) When I go away for more than a couple days I like to call in and ask how my two are doing, because even knowing they're happy and safe my dog mom heart misses them so much. Andrea and Toni will call me if there's anything not routine, for example Mimzy is a little stress bucket so often won't eat the first day: they will assess, add a bit of wet food and everything is all good. On the rare occasion when one of them (Mim usually but Tuck too) may have a loose stool they will call to make sure it's ok to add the wet food or see if there's other options I use at home. The grooming station is visible from the reception so you can watch how the dogs or cats are well taken care of. They have a good selection of toys for sale, doggie biscuits, and some fun cards for all occasions as you come in. 4 Paws is friendly, very well run by the Andrea and Toni team, and the other staff I don't always see as they're 'behind the scene' but I know they too care and love the four-legged guests The ambiance as you enter is either very quiet or as other pups are being dropped off / picked up their furballs and it's a place where laughter and good vibes are plentiful. Thank you 4 Paws !
