The owner turned away a woman with her SERVICE dog and refused to serve her until she took the dog outside!! He was rude and showed no compassion. The poor woman was clearly humiliated and near tears. I will NEVER recommend this cafe. SHAME on the owner!! The dog was cleaner than he was and very well groomed and behaved. Please do not support this business unless he changes his business practice. On a different note...the coffee and food is better at the little drive in coffee shop on the highway north of Okotoks next to the SAVE Emergency Animal clinic and at TRiBAL Coffee shop across the street from this pathetic business owner. read more

I have been here many times and I absolutely love this place because it is local and fresh and in such a cute place and location- an old house in Old Towne Okotoks turned into a restaurant with a very nice patio. It is the best. One of their best features that they are famous for is their tuna melt- it is delicious. When I came here last I got their cheese and spinach scone which is also amazing! For a summer drink they make all their iced tea flavours homemade and they are delicious as well. They have regular iced tea or green tea! I got the green tea :) read more

A little girl ordered something and she thought it was something different, you could see how sad she was when she got her treat and it was a bun thing and not a cookie, the worker asked, ohhh, did you want something else, maybe I misunderstood? - and her face lit up when he gave her the cookie. read more

Sam and his staff always make you feel welcome. Beyond a doubt the best place for coffee and quality baking in OKOTOKS.

Food here is awesome, but the drinks are overpriced. I've seen a gentleman come in and treat other staff poorly in front of customers. This is awkward and uncomfortable. Also- why isn't a coffee shop open for the morning rush during the week? read more

Delicious sandwiches, soups, wraps, scones, and coffee. Home Ground is the way a cafe is meant to be. A nice welcoming atmosphere is always present at Home Ground as the friendly staff greet you with a smile. I always get a sandwich/wrap with one of the daily soups. I would recommend the wrap with the Brie, it is delicious. Prices are moderate but the quality is worth the price. Home Ground is a great place for lunch or a coffee/tea with friends or alone! read more

Other than Starbucks, okotoks doesn't have a lot of cafe type restaurants. Home Ground has a lot to offer. Comfy seating, cozy setting and some great treats. I do wish they had longer hours. 4pm is a little early to close especially on a Saturday. Food selection is good especially the soup! Great place to catch up with friends read more

Wonderful place to go for lunch. This is lovely place to go and have a casual lunch. They make wonderful soups and sandwiches. Also their baking is to die for. My sister loves there coffee because it's strong. I just wish that they offered a non dairy milk ( have soy but I'm allergic to it as well) I stick to tea drink which is great read more
