Great service! Who better to drive than someone who knows the area. Driver provided waters throughout the trip from Denver to Winterpark. Stopped once for a bathroom break at a gas station. May need to eventually add in another stop because the trips can get long depending on traffic. Door to door service for some areas so that was great. The tip added to reservation is awesome too-I never carry cash. The driver was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. read more

I am from Washington State and came to Winter Park, CO (through Denver of course) for a work conference on Sunday (3/10/2019). My work had scheduled my co-worker and me on a Home James Shuttle from the airport to our hotel in Winter Park. Our driver Bo was amazing. He was so professional and so efficient. I needed a lift to the Denver airport and I decided to go with Home James. The reservation system was easy enough and gave out all the details and then called to reconfirm. I got the shared van service which was fine. The van was about half full so we all had our own space. They showed up on time right to your door. Very reliable and will get you where you need to go. They stayed on a tight schedule and took everyone to their right terminal at the airport. If i came back to winter park I would use this service again! read more

Hey Home James, It's sad that business isn't up to your expectations this season...but when Mother Nature doesn't produce snow...well, it's just a part of doing business. So when I overlooked your 48 hr cancellation by 7 hrs and requested a voucher to use next year (yes, wasn't even asking for my money back!) and after our party of 40 - 90 people have been using your business for 10 yrs...well, just be aware that we will jump thru hoops to investigate other means of transportation while in Winter Park, it may even be the one issue that pushes us to finally pick another Colorado ski area altogether. read more

Home James was super accommodating to me this past weekend. I originally booked a DIA to Winter Park shuttle. The day of, I emailed them to see if I could change it to a WP to DIA. They said sure no problem. In the midst of all this, I gave them the incorrect pick up location and changed the pick up time. At all times, they were happy to accommodate. First trip to Colorado last year with my son - heading to Winter Park ski resort. Shuttle arrived on time at the Airport - even waited a few extra minutes to make sure a late arriving passenger didn't get left behind. Very courteous - stopped so we could get some drinks and snacks. Great experience outbound. Back to the airport was very similar - no stop needed but no complaints either. Going to use them again in March of this year. read more

United was nice enough to delay our bags for over an hour, so my wife, son, and I were running late for the shuttle. Home James called me, and I told them about the delay. I was told that the the shuttle would only wait for 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time. After running across the baggage claim area to catch the shuttle, and arriving before the 5 minutes were up, they had left us earlier than indicated. I was told on the phone that we'd have to wait 3 hours for the next available shuttle at 10 PM and refunds were not available. I am writing this as we sit in DIA, so it remains to be seen if we'll ever make it, but I can not recommend the shuttle service based on what they just did and I will not use it again. The company stranded us without any effort to be accommodating and then lied repeatedly over the phone and in person when we asked other shuttle drivers coming by the pick up spot. None of that is the sign of a reputable or reliable business. read more

I booked a trip from Denver Airport to and from Winter Park for two people. The person on the phone said it was $156. I asked if that was one way or round trip. They said round trip. They also said to call back to confirm a time when I would be coming back. When I did this a few days later they said I'd have to pay another $156. I explained that this wasn't fair because I was told that it would be half this price. The douchebag on the phone apologized for this, admitting that they made a mistake. Despite his admitting their screw up, he insisted I still had to pay another $156. Had I known the real price, and not been lied to, I would have booked a cheaper option (there are plenty). When the restaurant screws up your order, you typically pay less for the meal in a surviving business. Don't give this greedy, careless about their customers company that doesn't accept responsibility for their actions any of your money. read more

Their shuttle service worked great for me. Easy to book and they picked me up exactly when they said they would even though they have to drive all around town picking people up. Basically I had tried using another shuttle company Big Sky Shuttle, and they left me stranded, but luckily Home James had shuttle services that ran very often (so I was still able to make my flight even after being stranded), it was easy to book, and the customer service was great. I'll use Home James if I ever need a shuttle in Winter Park to DIA and vice versa again. I'm not sure where all they operate. read more

I would NOT recommend Home James Transportation. James is the owner, he's been answering the phone for the last 20 years with his run-down operation he calls a business. He's a complete loser and messed up our entire trip. We had a confirmed booking and I called to confirm - James answered and said "Glad you called, we're overbooked I can't take you" as I was in the hotel leaving and even though I PRE-PAID two weeks ago. WE HAD TO CALL HIM FOR HIM TO TELL US HE CANT PICK US UP an hour before our pick up. We missed our flight and it cost us another ticket and two nights at a hotel. In short, he ruined our whole entire trip. By the way, he said he doesn't care about reviews - when I told him we would leave a negative one because of his unprofessionalism and inability to do the only things he's been doing for the last 20 years - driving and answering the phone - he said "I don't care about reviews, we are the only ones here hahaha" - He is known for hanging up the phone (check other reviews too). Guess what James? You're not the only one in the area. We called "Two Brothers Transportation" and the man was so nice, told us he would be right there, picked us up in an executive SUV and treated us like KINGS. It was also $50 cheaper than Home James Transportation's run down vans. I would recommend calling Two Brothers at (303) 505-5882 and avoiding Home James at all costs. Trust me on this one. I have the entire phone conversation recorded, I'll revise this with a link for everyone to hear what of a bum this supposed "business owner" is, how he treats his customers, curses and hangs up after multiple times of pleading with him for ANY KIND of a solution. There's a reason why the "owner" is still answering his phones after 20 years in business, LOL! Oh, and, if you find someone else - even if it costs more. DO IT. It's not worth a plane ticket, two nights at a hotel and all of the frustration James caused us. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! James - good luck with your seasonal run down shop. I hope you have a good 401K because with this type of service, you'll need it. Oh, by the way, expect a review on RipOffReport and other popular websites. I will make sure that is costs you more money than it would have to at least find SOME KIND of a solution for us instead of laughing at us and hanging up on us after we were so nice to you and pre-paid. Very unprofessional customer service. I got picked up late which caused me to miss my flight. I get that these kind of things happen so I was understandable about it. Jack the owner told me it was my fault for not booking an earlier ride. When I explained to him that if the bus would have been there on time I would have made my flight. He got very irritated and told me to "grow up", then hung up the phone. No customer should be treated like this. Seems like this isn't the first time hes done this reading the other reviews... it's a shame the owners are like this because both of my drivers were nice and I realize it's not their fault they were late, but a refund should be expected. read more

I'm echoing the poor experience a previous reviewer had regarding this company's unwillingness to provide refunds or credits for future rides. Our travel plans changed at the last minute, not atypical in the world of travel, and we called to cancel our ride and to ask for credit toward a future ride. We totally understand why full refunds can't be done; but, thought it reasonable to be able to use the money we paid toward a future ride to Winter Park. I spoke to Jack, he claimed he was the owner, who refused to give a rational explanation of why we couldn't use the paid for ride in the future on a space available basis. When I told him that his repeated stating of his refund policy was not a good rationale and certainly not customer friendly Jack became very unpleasant, raised his voice, then hung up on me. Not the kind of person or company I could recommend supporting and doing business with. Buyer beware! To be fair, our experience is no reflection on the shuttle service itself or the drivers; but at this point, I'm happy that I'll never get the chance to try it out! read more
