She gave us a lead time for the pipe install. That day came and went, but no one called to say they would be late by over two months. We had to call them. Then we were told the stove & piping would come together and be installed together...again the pipe guy came out without the stove. He installed the pipe and it was over twice the cost we were told it might be ($2900 more), but he did do a great job. When we called about when the stove will arrive they didn't know and said they would call us back. Days came and went... Finally our sales lady called us back and said it might be in a few months. When we complained that no one let us know and why no one told us? she said other people are much more understanding and we were basically bad and not nice customers! Then she laughed at our house situation.. so the pipe guy must have told talked to her behind our backs! She cared little that we really needed the stove for heat and we are now at the end of December...SO If you don't care about Honesty, Integrity, or when your stove will arrive or how much it will really cost- then this place it for you. But if your interested in a sales team that really cares about you then I would go elsewhere. It's not about the break in the supply chain...it's about a break in the sales team that should be communicating with their customers. When your spending over 10K for a product then the sales team needs to really up their game and get proper sales training.. not snub & belittle their customers.

Joe answered the phone and we discussed the work I needed done (chimney sweep and inspection). He gave me a quote over the phone and set up an appointment to come do the work. The price was very fair. When Joe arrived, he went straight to work and cleaned out my chimney. He took the time to caution me about a loose damper and explain how to safely manipulate it. When he was done cleaning it, there was no sign that he had cleaned it - the surrounding floor was spotless. This is where some businesses would take advantage of people: Joe inspected the chimney and advised me that it was in good shape. Other companies might try to drum up business here. Since he was honest, affordable, and professional, I look forward to hiring him for any chimney needs in the future.

Instead of sending me the correct unit, they instead sent me a conversion kit which I then had to pay the installer extra to install. Tri-State initially agreed to reimburse me for the labor, instead here I am 2 months late arguing with a new customer service rep who says I "should be happy the conversion kit is free"! A kit I only needed to fix the their problem in the first place. They have now reneged on any agreement to reimburse me and are instead gaslighting me telling me there is no propane version of this unit, which is demonstrably false, and that no mistakes on their part were made.

Two men showed…read moreup, took one quick look in the fireplace and decided that there was not way they could clean it, the liner needed to be replace, the insert needed to be cleaned and may not even work after that. Lectured us on how to dry wood for 5 minutes, that they would work up an estimate and that we also needed repointing on the chimney. They charged us $150.00 and left after about 15 minutes. After several days we received an estimate for a total of $22,300.00 to replace the liner, clean the insert and rebuild the fire place, with no credit for the $150.00 that we paid for zero work! Proceeded to have two other companies give estimate and both stated that the liner and insert could be cleaned for under $500.00. Hired one of them and cleaned the insert, the liner and now fireplace works great, like it is new. Not a good experience at all and would not recommend or ever use this company.
