Five years ago I had a special type of rubber roofing, put on my business roof, which is mostly a flat roof with a very slight incline. I had bought the building and renovated it to a salon from a restaurant. most of the leaks were in the back part of the building so asking a recommendation from this business I was told by one of their representatives it would be OK to do a "half of a roof with a special rubber roofing for almost $13,000! So from the very beginning it continued to leak now 5 years later, I'm told there are two large cracks on each end of the building (at the half) and the only way to fix it and stop the continued leaks are now to put a $18,500 on the remaining roof! I did have the option from the beginning to put a full roof on with a 10 year warranty for $12,000. However, I was guided the direction that I ended up going with the half a roof and now they are claiming that I was given bad advice, even though this person no longer represents the company, not knowing anything about roofing myself, I went with their recommendation and now I'm at a loss with continued leakage, going through my building and down to the bottom floor, which is an apartment causing lot of damage which my insurance will not cover because they will not cover a remainder of a roof to be put on! I still have 15 years left on my warranty as for my contract and like I said they're telling me there is no other way to fix it other than putting the remainder of the roof for almost an additional $20,000! I would never recommend this company! this person that was fired from their company was still representing them at the time, and the building leaked from day one when they put the new roof on, but they're saying it's leaking from the old roofing, where I did not approve. read more
