The whole staff is extremely pleasant to deal with. They are very accompanying for my 100pd baby who hates the vet's office!

The front desk is always cheerful and happy and most importantly, answer the phone almost immediately. They don't make you wait long to get into a room for your appointment and the waiting room is tended to and clean. Both doctors we saw for our dog were very nice and you can tell they genuinely care. Just an overall great place. I'm happy we found a nice new spot for our aging doggo. Only bad thing was the cost of dental work (we got an estimate) but that's going to be a hit no matter where you go I guess.

At the visit I asked if he would be making an incision to remove the plug/material causing the Bumblefoot and the Vet said that it does not always work so they prescribed an Antibiotic Clavamox for 10 days. I called the vet office a week later because I was concerned after a week of the Antibiotic it wasn't getting better (In fact it was getting more swollen, turning color, and hot to the touch). The receptionist told me they would have the vet call me. I called again days later and was put on hold for several minutes, when the receptionist returned, she told me the vet wasn't in and said, "For it to be only 3 days, that's pretty good". I did not keep a future follow-up appointment and located another Vet because I didn't want to wait more days until the appointment and since Trumbull wasn't getting back to me. Besides the lack of caring and returning my call, other issues concerned me about the initial visit 1) I had my Hen's foot wrapped, and they never rewrapped it where the open wound was. 2) They told me we could not eat her eggs while on the Antibiotic, but it was okay to feed to the other hens. Which makes no sense since they would be getting traces of Antibiotics. 3) I also got different answers on the withdraw period before we could eat the eggs. The Vet said 4 weeks, yet the nurse later told me 60 days. The other Vet I found said I was right to be concerned because her Foot was at an elevated level 3 stage and the low dosage of Clavamox was not going to help her because of the stage she was at. The other Vet performed an incision to remove the infection and prescribed a stronger prescription and followed up with me (at no cost) asking for pictures and her overall condition. Trumbull animal hospital still hasn't returned my calls and through emails I sent they only defend their approach. Never asking how my Hen's foot looked now and was more concerned about me not keeping the future appointment. I strongly feel Trumbull Vet doesn't provide the care/medicine/follow up care one would demand of their pet, it shouldn't matter if it's a Hen, Dog or Cat. All should get high-quality care.

After many conversations with our vet and friends and family , it was decided it was best for our puppers as his quality of life had gone down hill. My vet recommended Lap of Love. A mobile pet hospice and euthanasia service. From the minute I made that heart wrenching phone call and attempted to speak with Katja, through sobs and tears, I was provided with the most comforting voice and supportive words. She worked with me to get the 3 minute question and answers completed and set me up with an appointment for the next day. It was a rough night and Ari was spoiled rotten. Dr. Lindsey arrived on time with a phone call before coming in. Dr. Lindsay walked in with an air of peace and worked with us on our time. She explained the whole process and asked if we were ready for each step. She made Arigons crossing over so peaceful for all of us. She stayed with us to talk abit and made us a paw print and some tuffs of his fur for keepsakes. As sad as this situation was, Dr. Lindsey and her team made it comfortable and beautiful.

I would surmise that she was having a panic attack along with her false pregnancy which the vet also stated. Fine. They got the false pregnancy part right. My problem is this: The dog is itchy. Before they advise my mom to switch the dog food or try something less processed, or even change her shampoo and the soap used for her bedding etc, they inject her a bunch of times and prescribed her medication to eat with her food. --forever?! The dog is 4. They didn't investigate the cause of her itching at all. I feel like especially when you have elderly dog owners, there's some level of trust that you put in a veterinarian especially when dealing with dogs who are pre-disposed to certain things like allergies and weight gain. I took this dog to my home, to give her a little more attention and figure out why she was acting so sick, and within a week I stopped all her "anti allergy" medication, changed her food to a bland diet, found these giant tufts of fur missing, brought her to MY vet in New Haven, and found out she had a crazy infection from her scratching and biting at an old bug bite. I have antibiotics for 10 days, Antiseptic spray to clean up the area, a cone so she leaves the infected area alone, sample bland diets, flea and tick meds that I'll be giving her after this infection clears up, healthier treat samples, her nails are clipped and they squeezed out her abdomen which had gathered some liquid and was making her uncomfy. I have to bring her in to a follow up on 7 days so the vet can make sure That I am doing what I'm supposed to be doing to ensure she heals properly. In one visit. All of this in one visit. 250 bucks later. My mom has spent over 200 dollars each visit to this shitty ass vet office and I am APPALLED at their lack of attention to detail. If this was the result of a tick bite, or some other deadly insect my moms dog would have DIED and my mom would still be out over 600 Dollars for them to laugh and say, yea beagles get itchy. I don't think there is ANY excuse for a vet to miss this. Especially if I noticed within a week of observing her while working and doing a million other things. Chunks of fur gone, and NO ONE noticed ? Disgusting .

This woman is a fraud, don't let the raving reviews fool you. If you want your animal to have…read moresolace in their last moments, there's no difference in what an animal hospital will do. Initially I was in favor of doing it this way at my Mothers discretion, she advertised it as a "beautiful thing" that would be personable, and intimate...It was the exact opposite. She shows up eager to get the process over with, and your pets last conscious moments will be getting tricked with a plate of whipped cream while she grabs them to inject the anesthesia. As I was understandably distraught and voicing my criticism's for the process which didn't reflect what was advertised, this liberal nutjob woman (who showed up in a mask lmao) THREATENED to stop the process and leave AFTER the anesthesia had been administered. Very professional. While I cried into my cats ear telling him how much I loved him, I had to be reminded by this woman "he can't hear you", and then asked "what's your favorite memory with him?" As my mother & I are breaking down sobbing over his body. 1,000$ for this by the way. It's all just for show, the selling point is having a half assed casket vigil in her trunk where she expects you to praise her as if she's doing God's work. To be honest, I didn't even frel comfortable having this woman drive off with my deceased Cat in her car, let alone her accompany my last moments with him. All to pick up his ashes at an animal hospital anyway....it's a sham. Like I said, you're better off doing it the traditional way or letting them pass peacefully on their own. This happened months ago and the fact i'm going out of my way to write this review now should show you how deeply dissatisfied I am with how it played out. It's just a way to scam sentimental people like my mother out of money they're more than willing to pay because of the love for their animals by pulling at their heart strings. If you're reading this; sincerely, Fuck. You.

Her wisdom and forethought went above and beyond my expectations, and believe me, I had rehearsed this terrible day many times in my head. My call was promptly returned, a convenient time scheduled, and the process discussed. During this time of social distancing, some special accommodations needed to be made, but they in no way interfered with the love my dog received that day. Dr Dale played music made for dogs ears only and was extremely comforting to me as well. She made a clay print of my dogs paw, which I will cherish forever. The support Dr Dale gave that day extends far beyond as she checked in on me and provided access to support groups. When I picked up my dogs remains, they where surrounded by meditation gardens and considering the circumstances (pandemic restrictions) I couldn't have asked for anything more comforting and reassuring that my dog was truly loved and that I had made the right decision. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Kathy Bremer at XTerra Dalmatians
