Don't use this guy. Brought the incorrect materials, did a half-ass job and charged full price even though they didn't replace ANYTHING. After he told me they had brought the wrong color frames he took all the screens out and left with them for about an hour. I thought he was going to get the correct materials. Instead, he just used the OLD FRAMES and a screw-gun to "repair" the bent frame I had called him to replace. I could have done the same thing myself for about 2 cents worth of drywall screws. The one screen he did "replace" is already baggy and seems to be within a single push of coming out. Garbage. Also, about 3x the price of the last screen repair service I've used. When I asked him to come back to do it right he told me that was impossible and we'd need to pay full price for a return visit. I am LIVID. I have never had worse service from any contractor and I would never, ever use this service again. Avoid at all costs. read more

I wish that I could have hired Jesus to fix my boss's house, but apparently Toluca Lake is too far??? ...Even though, I see that one of their stellar reviews is from a guy in Pasadena. ...and even though I live right next to where they are, and I drive to Toluca Lake everyday -it takes me 15 - 20 min. The lady on the phone also sounded lazy, rude, and not in the mood to help me out, she didn't even answer the phone stating the name of the business she just said 'Hello' (I hate that!). I must have contacted them on an off day given all the positive reviews they have received. I requested a quote for the replacement of a single 2'x2' pane of glass on a window. The woman who took my call asked for my location. When I told her my location she said "That's too far away, uh, sorry..sorry." I called her back and said that people as far away as Santa Monica and Brentwood have reviewed her business on Yelp. (My location was only about eight miles away.) She then said, "Ok. Let me check with Jesus." She then said that it was fine but then quoted me $195 to replace that single pane of glass!!!! I ended getting a quote of $130 from the Highland Park Glass Company. I'm in the middle of designing a home addition in Beverly Hills with a REALLY short deadline. I called all over LA to try and find a window manufacturer who could fabricate 4 simple fixed windows within a matter of a few days. Most, if not all, of them told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the windows back. After reading all of the reviews on Yelp for this place, I thought I'd give it a try. I called and explained my situation and they suggested I come into the shop to look at what they could do. The shop is small in South LA so don't expect a glamorous showroom. But Jesus works on the windows right there and has a sufficient number of samples to show what he can do. I picked out my windows, gave my dimensions, and put down a deposit (BTW - CASH ONLY!). I was told that the windows would be done in 3 days....DAYS! NOT weeks. The NEXT day I got a phone call saying that the windows were ready for pick up. WTF, seriously? Yes, seriously. I picked up the windows the next day and they look great. I would definitely use this company again. Thanks Jesus! Jesus saves. read more

We had a little accident with a broken window (my bike rolling down the stairs into our glass door, oops), and all the window places around either didn't answer their phones or were only interested in selling me fancy new windows for hundreds of dollars. This seemed like kind of a budget place so I called and the woman on the phone said that Jesus (their window guy) could come out the next day and take care of it. They're in South LA but they didn't have a problem driving to my place (in Los Feliz). I didn't really shop around like I should have, I just wanted my window fixed and price that she quoted me on the phone seemed fair. She told me that he would come at ten or eleven and at ten she called to let me know that he was leaving and apologized for being late. Jesus showed up as expected (before eleven so he wasn't late after all, but I appreciated the call) and fixed the window for the price that we had agreed on. One of the joys of living in 50+ year old home are the wooden windows that came with it (to a point). And with two of those (single hung variety) no longer able to hold themselves up (broken weight cable), it called for someone with repair knowledge of such. The previous 5-star review got me to call and see if they could handle this (and another window that had been stuck for as long as we owned the property). They assured me they could. Jesus arrived when they said he would and immediately got to work. He got the two with broken cables going quickly, and then proceeded to get that decades stuck window back in working order (that one took a little longer). I was so impressed with his work, I placed an order for a new screen for it (never had one there since we never opened it), That was yesterday. This place is GREAT!!! I had an unfortunate incident occur when trying to kill a darn fly --- I whacked the window with a magazine and completely shattered one of my sliding glass windows. WTH?! Then began the search for someone to fix it quickly and without breaking the bank. I found Home Window Express here on Yelp and after reading the reviews, brought in my window on a Saturday morning. Jesus replaced it within 20 minutes and all for $25!! I ended up giving him more as a tip and sincere THANK YOU! I will definitely be recommending this place to friends. I called yesterday afternoon to get a quote on replacing the screen on 6 windows of my house that I got tired looking at because they had holes that were just getting bigger and bigger, thanks to my orange tabby. I talked to Yolanda who was very pleasant and helpful. I asked her to give me two quotes - one for replacing just the screen and another for new frames. She said she would call me back in 5 minutes and she did. Her rates were affordable so this morning, I loaded my window frames onto the jeep and I was on my merry way to Home Window Express. Yolanda was just as nice in person as she was on the phone. She inspected the frames and showed me the frames they use. She didn't think I would need new frames as she could just straighten up the ones that were slightly bent. I felt that she was honest because she didn't even try to talk me into getting new frames. A few hours later, I went back to pick up my newly screened windows and I am happy with the work product. Yolanda told me she had to replace one of the frames as it bent but she only charged me minimally for it. I told her that I was interested in learning to re-screen the windows so I could do it next time and she told me it's easy. She showed me the tools I would need and how to remove the old screen and install a new one. I thought that was really cool of her to do that! So it's only been less than 24 hours since I called Home Window Express and here I am, sitting at my home, enjoying my newly screened windows. Jesus installed a large new window for us in our nursery. When it rained, the window leaked and he came out and said it was the stucco and/or the roof. Because we had cracks elsewhere, we ended up re doing the stucco on the house and had new flashing and gutters put on the roof-- largely because Jesus said it was the roof, rather than the window. It just rained and sure enough, the window is leaking again. It's coming in from around the window and I called them, yet again, to come out and fix the window, and no one is answering the phone and there's no voice mail set up. Never again. read more

I have been coming to Jesus and Yolanda for years and I have nothing but good things to say. Bought my first home had no screens on the windows I was quoted a price however when Jesus came the measurements were different thus the reason why estimates aren't given over the phone... Nevertheless, Jesus honored the price and just because he was interested in keeping my business, he put screens on all my windows. When my double pane window broke, Jesus was concerned about my safety and immediately fixed the window. Jesus and Yolanda are good people who work hard and are very kind.
