I send Ruffino a yelp message after reading all of the great reviews. And then we chatted on the phone and he asked me to send a pic of my patio door via text. From that he text me back a estimate and then he came out the next day to take a look in person. He confirmed the estimate and I drove to his shop a couple days later to provide the deposit. I stressed the need to have the door installed by a certain date even though it was tight because of the time needs to make the door BUT he came through. I plan to replace all of the windows in my home and will be working with Ruffino. I've already passed on his info to my sister for her to replace her broken patio door too. I had to take one star away because he doesn't work late hours or Saturdays which is basically terrible for anyone with a full time job and bc he came with the wrong door and had to come back the next day. read more

At first, all the glowing reviews were right. I messaged Rufino via Yelp for a quote for 3 window screens and got a response within an hour to call him to talk about quotes. This was Tuesday, March 28, and he quoted me $30 for my larger window screen (black fiber mesh on aluminum) which I thought was a great price. On Wednesday, March 29, I texted him to let him know I would like to order the window screen from him and can pick it up when ready. I don't hear back from him until this morning, March 30, and he confirms my dimensions and that I still want black fiber mesh on aluminum. But today he tells me it's $35 instead. Fine, whatever. I let him know I don't get out of work until 4:30 pm and he says that's okay, he'll be at his store until 5:30 pm and that he's cash only. To make sure I get there on time, I use one of those ATMS that charge a high service fee and make the 45 minute trek during rush hour to get to his store only to find that it's closed! So I call Rufino, asking where he is, he confirms he knew I was coming to pick up the screen, and then without any hint of any wrongdoing, he just says, "Oh, I did something else. Can you come back in an hour?" Of course, no, I will not wait another hour for him for an appointment that we made! When I ask him to just cancel my order he simply says, "Okay" and hangs up on me. No apologies or anything. Rufino is rude, completely unprofessional, unreliable, and has zero customer skills. Buyer beware his changing prices, wavering work ethic, and his lack of respect for customers' time and resources. read more

Made an appointment 3 days ago for the afternoon and as the hours slipped past to almost 4 o'clock I called the vendor to see if he was still coming. Judging by the way they spoke to me (which was a bit rudely) I'm pretty sure they had no idea that they were going to come by today. Also the guy who I spoke to did not understand what a "stuck" window was. Even if your English is not the best (and FYI he had an accent but spoke English just fine) I would think key phrases such as STUCK would be a word worth picking up in this business; "Window does not open." Was easier to understand. Anyways. That was when he explained to me they do not get windows unstuck, or work on the types of windows my building has, but rather just make new windows or replace glass. Why was I not told this three days ago...? He suggested I did not explain myself correctly when I spoke to them the first time. Which is not true I did. So its my fault you didn't show up at all and suddenly can't work on my windows? i think they lost the appointment, its close to quitting time on a Friday, and they blew me off.
