The Fairfield is right off the parkway, very convenient and a five minute drive to the attractions in Canton. There is lots of free parking in front. Got here at 3 o'clock but our room wasn't ready until 3:30. There was one washer and dryer on the second floor and I put in 2 loads. We were in room 127 facing the front parking lot. The room was comfortable for one night. It was quiet and water pressure was good. The king bed was comfortable as was the large bathroom. We had a small refrigerator, microwave and an outdated drip coffee maker. We had extra toiletries and towels. The staff really made our stay. They were friendly, helpful and personable. There was a clean heated attractive pool with salt water. Breakfast was provided, it was he usual powdered eggs, watered down coffee & frozen waffles. I arrived at midnight after a long day of travel to find someone working the counter who clearly had no idea how to do their job. It took them 30 minutes to figure out how to check in one person in line in front of me and 25 more minutes to check me in. During this process they had to call their coworker on the 3 or 4 times to get help, including sending them pictures of the computer screen. I would expect the hotel, at a bare minimum, to have a single person on site who knows how to check people in. Now, a month later, I come to find an additional charge on my card in addition to the fee for the room. When I called to ask about it, they told me that it was a fee for incidentals and that it should have been returned to me. When I called my bank, they confirmed that it was not returned. I then went to call the hotel back to let them know the situation and they stopped picking up my calls. Not sure if it is a glitch or not but they had just answered my call a few minutes prior so not sure why their phones suddenly stopped working. I have had to file a dispute with the credit card company regarding this charge. Unless you want to spend almost an hour trying to check into your room then a bunch of time on the phone with your bank, I would avoid this location. read more

Made reservations through our high school swim team portal for state tournament. They did not have our reservation when we arrived and could not provide a room. Sent us miles away to another Fairfield to mitigate the issue. Told us we would have a room there only to find that they did not and could accommodate us there either. Had to go to another hotel. Came back to original hotel to be with the team the next night. They would not allow late checkout, while accommodating the same to other guests, because we didn't ask soon enough. We didn't ask soon enough because we had to come later because that didn't have the room we reserved through the portal. The manager was inhospitable, inflexible and unaccommodating. Basically got big dogged by a sniveling inappropriately trained employee who couldn't deal reasonably with a customer who had been provided inadequate service. Had to shuffle my daughter around to another room to prepare for a swim meet she trained her entire life for. She's tough and rolled with it. But, as her dad, I was very unhappy with the unacceptable disruption and the unfair and inflexible behavior of the manager. Fairfield Inn should look into this. I don't know if they, or a third party, was responsible for the reservation problem. But the manager at this establishment lacked the common sense and decency to make our stay acceptable under the circumstances. Yes, I got angry. But, I walked away. And, I hope someone from this company reads this and looks into it. read more

We stayed a week here. Floors were disgusting. Breakfast buffet was not kept up well. Rooms are cleaned/ bed made only every other day. We found a $500 charge on our credit card for a broken TV that was fine when we left the room. I suggested the maid may have broken it while cleaning, as it was in perfect condition when we left the room. The general manager said she believes her maid, not us and refused to do a single thing about it. If you are looking for a good, clean room and an honest staff, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO STAY!!!!! *UPDATE* After talking with their staff, the general manager called me back (much more polite this time) and agreed to reverse the charge. The staff is golden. From the time we checked in, the hostess was very pleasant and friendly. As we walked into the door it smelled like heaven, clean and homie! The cleaning crew was also very nice and greeted us as we walked the hallway and into our room. The breakfast was just ok nothing big just a hot breakfast like any other hotel. They do have a free 24hr coffee and tea station which is awesome to have, not all hotels provide that. The rooms are nice cute and I love the decor. Very happy with the staff. read more

The most amazing hotel staff we have ever experienced The hotel is brand new and great comfortable beds add so much for 3 night stay. I can't thank the staff enough for their extra care and friendly faces. We knew them all by the time we left Stephanie was our housekeeper who left sweet notes and lollipops everyday. Renee and Larissa made breakfast a great experience and even dropped us off for lunch one day. The desk girls Marcie, LaDesta and Brittney always had a smile and welcomed us back and offered information on places to eat and things to do. And of course we have to add a big thanks to Tim who pulled the wet vac out to clean our spill on sofa and dress!!! The whole gang we were with for HOF heard all about OUR hotel. Lol. We stayed here for barely anything with my rewards from Expedia. Which worked out really well. However, the hotel was very nice. It was a nice stay. Everyone was very nice. The FREE breakfast is one of the better ones that I've had. They had eggs, waffle maker, sausage etc; coffee, orange juice. This place was amazing for the price. Even if I didn't have a discount the price was amazing. I highly recommend going here. I will be back again when in the area. read more

Stayed here overnight on a driving trip. Hotel is just a year old. Beautiful and well kept. We arrived at 11:30pm and Phyllis checked us in and was very friendly and helpful. When we came down for breakfast the next morning she was still working and just as friendly. Free breakfast was adequate. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy oatmeal, waffles, etc. Our room had a walk-in shower, no tub. All hotels should do this! Bed was very comfortable. My family stayed here for one night (11/27/2015) on a short trip to visit the HOF. This is among the best low-cost chain hotels I've ever visited. The location is a typical interstate exit with gas stations and fast food restaurants. In fact, the hotel looks out of place at first sight. In all other respects, though, this is not your typical roadside budget hotel. The staff hospitality was exceptional without seeming disingenuous. The lobby was remarkably modern and clean. The rooms were comfortable and stylish. It almost had an urban, boutique hotel look inside. Not at all what you'd expect from a Fairfield. The pool is even a saltwater pool (which is wonderful when you are used to indoor, heated chlorine pools that will practically burn your eyeballs at most hotels) The breakfast in the morning was only marginal at best. Very much your typical express hotel fare. But I give that a pass because, well, it was free. My travels will likely not take me to Canton again, but if I did pass through again I would absolutely stay here again. read more

We have stayed at several Fairfield Inns over the years and this one is the best by far! Our suite is very tastefully decorated and roomy. There are some really super design features in this room. There are 2 hooks in the bathroom and one great hook outside the closet to hang coats or hanging suitcases/bags. There were two TVs - one in the sitting area and one across from the bed. All the lamps - and there were several - were actually working (so many hotels have lamps with blown out bulbs, which is so annoying). I love the fact that all the lamps (except the tall lamp in the corner) had the multiple plug outlets. When you travel as a couple with phones, iPads, I-watches etc.; these lamps are the bomb! The bathroom was a good size and the step in shower was quite large with a really cool shelf (for bath products) plus a wire rack in the corner for storage. Plus there were four bath towels - awesome! The shower control head was located on the adjacent wall such that turning the water on did not result in getting assaulted by water that is not up (yet) to proper temperature. Best design EVER! The room has a mini frig, mini microwave, coffee maker. We left the "do not disturb" sign up deliberately when we left for our day's activities. When we return there was a nice note in an attractive basket on the floor outside our door with extra towels, and coffee products just in case we needed them. What a cool and thoughtful touch. The hotel common areas were large and well furnished with lots of tables and chairs. Breakfast was pretty standard. They also had flavored water available to guests which was refreshing. This is not to say the hotel was perfect. The shower did not have a grab bar and the floor was slippery when soaking up. However, we do recommend if you are in this area that it is a really decent place to stay. read more

We stayed for one night but it's a great hotel. It's very new and clean. It is designed very contemporary. The staff is incredibly nice. There was a large computer screen that you could play around with to see what is in the area. One of the staff came over and we found a huge flea market in Heartville. We went and had a great time. We will definitely be visiting the area again and we'll be staying here when we do. read more

Very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. And I would give the staff and A++ for customer service. Comfy beds, with clean white linens. The bathroom was beautiful and definitely the cleanest I've ever seen. Nice, quaint and warm indoor pool with swim noodles and balls for the kids to play. The waffle irons were my kids favorite part about breakfast. Lots of free breakfast options if you're not into waffles. Nice coffee and tea station with all very type of milk and extras you could imagine. We did not mind staying a few miles out of town. But definitely recommend dining near Belden Village Mall as the restaurants nearby (Athens, Firehouse, etc) seemed to be in a sketchy neighborhood. read more

Very nice hotel. It is a newer property with fresh paint and was very clean. I was surprised by the quality feel for the lower level Marriott property. As a seasoned traveler, I look for a number of the basics and this property hit all the important check boxes. Nice complimentary breakfast, strong wifi, very comfy beds and the alarm clock has Bluetooth. It felt more like a Springhill than Fairfield. We stayed here for two nights while in town for a wedding. The hotel was new, clean amd we had no issues. The breakfast was hot and tasted great. The pool is very small, so we didn't want to squeeze in, but at least there is a pool. What caught my attention more than anything was the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful and caring. They always asked how we were doing and if they could be of assistance. Kudos! I'd highly recommend this hotel and we will be back. read more

We stayed one night when visiting the NFL Hall of Fame. The hotel was easy to find, right on the freeway. There was freeway noise in the room so I would advise asking for the parking lot side of the hotel. Our single king room was clean and efficient though not roomy. It had a very tiny closet, about 18" wide. If you plan to stay a few days and want someplace to sit besides the bed or desk you will definitely want a suite. The hotel feels very new and clean, which is why we chose it. The staff was super friendly. The buffet breakfast was extensive: waffles, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits, fruit, yogurt, etc. The staff maintaining the buffet was attentive, keeping it clean and refilling constantly. For an overnight roadside hotel this exceeded our expectations - is was cheerful, clean and new with nice amenities. read more

Hotel is very new. Staff makes say pleasant. They are competent and friendly and attentive. The room is well appointed and was very clean. Avoid when sports teams or wedddings are in hotel but this is advice for any hotel. No dogs so place was easily one of most clean hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast is good with plenty of variety and person responsible for area was friendly and efficient. Parking is plentiful and close by and area is very safe. This is the best Fairfield Inn I've stayed in ever and wish all were as clean with same type staff.
