Beds and linens were new and comfortable. Plenty of local information, regarding things to do & places to dine at, or order delivery. Overall, it's a well maintained hotel. Breakfast was the typical free hot & cold selections, which is fine. I think everyone knows what to expect. There was a giant family reunion (or something) going on this morning, and we had a hard time navigating the breakfast room for food and seats. I am assuming this is not the norm. If you see a ton of people camping out like we did, I would advise that you keep moving and grab something at a diner. It's not worth the struggle! But again, the hotel cleanliness, age, and room quality are what is important to me, and it was SPOT ON. I had to take a star away because we booked adjoining rooms in advance, and they were not available. It's more of a Marriott corporate (call center) issue, but I need to point it out. Update: July 6, 2020 Very happy again with this hotel. As a family of four we were very comfortable in the two bedroom suite. I believe it was about $160 a night (this can always change depending on the date and the capacity). Overall, it's a reasonable price. Pros - Staff is very friendly and responsive. The hotel is very quiet, we did not hear a peep from the hallway or other rooms. While there are a bunch of restaurants and shopping nearby (1 minute drive) there are also sidewalks and green space if you feel like walking. It doesn't feel like it's as close to the freeways, but it is (very convenient). Cons - N/A Covid situation- they do not have their traditional complimentary breakfast, however they had grab and go bags with breakfast sandwiches and granola bars to take back to your room and heat up. I thought it was a reasonable alternative. We'll be back (again!)

The suite included a small kitchen with a dining table, a separate living area with a couch and TV, two bedrooms (one king, one with two queens), and two bathrooms--offering plenty of room and comfort beyond a standard hotel room. Breakfast was included and convenient before heading to orientation. The suite was clean, updated, and well maintained, with very comfortable beds. Overall, the spacious layout, full amenities, and included breakfast made this an excellent value. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Lexington.

The pictures posted by the property are touched up and don't show how dark and dingy this place is. Both couches and chairs in each of the rooms had nasty stains and rips/holes in them. Even one of the armchairs in the lobby had a rip in it! The repairs done to the rooms were shoddy. When I asked for a luggage cart, I was told they didn't have any. Overall not worth the money when you can stay at a new Hilton or Hampton for around the same price.

Frankly I can't recall the last time I was in a hotel that didn't have the microwave in the room. They have one restaurant for the entire Hotel and the one time we wanted to eat, it was closed. There are no decent restaurants nearby so we had to eat at a sports bar across the street. We did order room service one time and it came up promptly. The prices were not bad and the food was pretty good. The TV reception which is frequently a problem in hotels was very good at the Hyatt and they had a decent selection of options for the channels but you had to search for an online channel guide because they didn't have a printed one in the room. The shower stall is huge and has a beautiful full-length glass door but the water pressure is only so-so. The last day of our stay, I had to wait 4 or 5 minutes for hot water which was very disappointing. All in all, my first stay here was okay but I expected far more from a Hyatt Regency. If it were not attached to Lexington's main Conference Center, I would probably look for another option next visit.

I had to lodge a complaint with the local sheriff for annoying and harassing phone calls. Do not book!

It was clean and comfortable. Most of all we appreciated the stellar customer service! We were visiting the Ark Encounter and had our RV with us but based on the reviews of the closest RV parks and their prices we opted to try The North Star. They had a nice large parking area across from the motel that was perfect for our 5th wheel. We also had our 10lb. dog with us. The lady who took my reservation explained they had pet rooms and there would be a small fee. Usually if a hotel says they have specific rooms they put guests with pets in they stink or have been wreaked by rambunctious fur babies but this place had no odor or visible signs of abuse. The flooring was ceramic tile. There was a very nice handwritten note in the room along with bottled water, snacks and even a new toy for our fur baby. We had an issue with the remote control not working and as soon as I reported it someone was in my room in less than 5 minutes to fix the problem. We were so happy with the accommodations we decided to stay another night and see the Creation Museum. We plan on returning and bringing ourgrandkids.
